"Question is, what happened to his brother? the one with blue
markings, I didn't see him fight alongside us dealing with
Riotman nor did I spot him when the whole place exploded" he
folded his arms.
He could have sworn Ty was present due to the fact he teleported
him to the Chemical Plant along with the other volunteers, did
something bad happened to him once they reached the end?

If she was being honest with herself then her reaction to the
hedgehog's wave was the last thing she had expected of herself
as it was small smile and wave back.
"...Hello," she eventually sighed as it really was the only
thing she could come up with, this was proving harder for her
given that casual conversations was something she couldn't do,
she almost conversed through her combat in a way, otherwise she
stayed silent... mostly. As for what the cyan hedgehog asked,
that she could answer.
"My name is Sabine Horten and yes, that would me... i suppose i
owe you my thanks for slowing the fall," she told Soul as her
slight scowl returned, "they are off duty, me as well, i thought
i would practice my arts and gunnery during that time. I don't
know about the others, they're doing their own things."
Her eyes hardened slightly when he said she should get patched
up, she had seen the doctor and he had applied the basics which
was all she needed, "not needed, i have had them expected and i
would be damned if a few scratches kept me down."
She then shifted her sight to Sapphire, "so, which did the
aggressor go? Every moment we waste he gets further away."

Mallow shook his head at the situation, he wanted to rest,
needed to rest was more like it. At Shadow's question, he
shrugged. "He arrived with us at the chemical plant, but must
have split up soon after. I was following you." He gestured to
the black hedgehog, then remembered something. "Ah, that's
right. Where is my emerald? I would like it back please." he
said, holding out his hand.

Shadow remained quiet for approximately ten seconds, during the
inner countdown his eyes slowly darted to the ground, he blushed
in embarrassment trying to come up with words to say to Mallow
regarding his biggest screw up.
"Riotman.................misplaced it" he replied. He was too
proud to admit he let him snagged it from his grasp it but at
least he was honest.....right?

The smile that had formed on Mallow's face froze there and his
brow twitched. "Riotman... misplaced it?" He parroted, tilting
his head and his smile grew bigger as he stepped towards the
black hedgehog. "That's funny," He began, his expression growing
darker despite the brightness of his reassuring smile. "I don't
recall letting Riotman borrow my emerald, a gemstone so powerful
it could do a tremendous amount of damage if it ever fell into
the wrong hands and is so rare that it is said there are only
seven gemstones in existence, and only one of them is the most
lovely shade of purple; I am one hundred percent positive that I
did not give that particular gemstone to Riotman for him to
'misplace'." he leaned forward till his face was quick close to
the adorable blushing hedgehog. "You'd better take
responsibility, Shadow," he said softly, his tone carrying the
weight of an unnamed threat, yet the delivery of the hedgehog's
name seemed to soften the underlying statement that it was
Shadow's fault.

His blush went away instantly, demanding personal space from
Mallow by giving him a silent "glare", when is there ever going
to be a time he wont frown at someone... "Hmph, regardless of
how many emeralds the Doctor collects, I will crush every single
one of his machines" he boasted with confidence, he never
stopped folding his arms. He hasn't shown off his full potential
to anyone yet as he still has plenty of tricks left.

Mallow raised a brow to the glare but was unaffected by the
"glare", but moved a bit to the side to give Shadow room, and
show a gesture of some respect. "That's what I'm counting on."
He replied, and his smile turned more genuine. "I've seen you in
action, you're probably the most powerful Mobian I've met.
You're able to keep up with Sonic, but in other ways, you're
better than him. So, until I get my emerald back, here's my
proposal: Train me. Train me as your student to become as strong
as you, or as close as my body's capacity can get to your
level." The rabbit was serious. As a student in this sense, he
would have to become Shadow's shadow. He had his reasons.

Sapphire let out a breath of relief hearing Blaze was okay and
was safe out of Eggman's hands.
She nodded to Shadow regarding Ty, "What do you mean? How could
he not be there? I saw Ty there... Did he leave? I hope he's
okay!" Sapphire would say, rubbing her wounded leg, wincing as
she tried to move it only for sharp pains to hit her.
She looked at Soul a moment before looking away. A low wind
would gush through the valley they where in, whistling against
the grass and wild flowers, the breeze would blow about their
hair and fur.
Sapphire ran a battered hand through her hair, and took in a
breath. "Veira, Sonic and I got chased by robotic whales to what
we thought was Eggman in one of his mechs. We eventually beat
him and it wasn't the real Eggman. But Sonic had a bit of a huff
against Veira and I since he thought I was fake and wouldn't
work with Veira. She ended up hitting the chemicals with her
lightning powers which is why the plant exploded. Sonic left his
own way it would seem. He... I thought he was dead but... Well"
She looked down and checked for fading but she was still fully
there. "Well let's just say, something tells me he's still out
there and kicking".
Sapphire would lower her head to Sabine, "I.. I couldn't move
till Shadow came and helped me, I didn't see where he went, I
saw a faint flash of light but that was about it, then Shadow
appeared after another flash" She felt bad that she couldn't
give anything more to help them to at least locate the tiger
after all their help here.
The young hedgehog would watch the conversation bounce between
Shadow and Mallow, she looked a bit frightened at hearing about
the chaos emeralds."Does anyone know exactly where those seven
gems are?" She'd ask, tilting her head.

He nodded and returned his glance to Mallow complimenting on his
skills, of course he is the most powerful mobian he has ever
witnessed, its painfully obvious at this point. "Why do you wish
to learn from me?" he questioned.

When Shadow asked for his reasons, Mallow glanced at the group
and then at the black hedgehog, then nodded his head for the
other male to follow a bit aways from the group. He didn't
really want to broadcast his personal life to practical
strangers, granted he knew Soul, but they really didn't know
each other, none of them did. Soldiers rarely have time to bond
and ask personal questions in the midst of battle.
When they were a reasonable distance away without the chance of
being overheard, Mallow stopped and turned to Shadow. "There are
several reasons. I'll try not to bore you with my pathetic
backstory, but let's start with I'm tired of losing fights with
superpowered beings. Even if I might not have the capacity to
get powers, I can still get strong enough to take down anyone
preventing me from helping people." He looked away, his
expression riddled with guilt and genuine hurt. "I've lost...
I've lost people in my life, and every time I was too weak to do
anything about it. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of being weak." his
hands balled into tight fists, and he turned back to Shadow,
determination burning brightly in his eyes. "Train me, please. I
may be a rabbit, and others might consider my race to be
inferior but I'm a lot stronger than I look. I'm just not strong
enough."
