The Eggviper rose up slowly as sonic created the tornado of
chemicals, only for Viera to fire a bolt of lightning into it
causing the whole thing to explode violently. The chemicals
began to burn and some flecks of the burning liquid landed on
the platform, making their already limited walking room even
more limited. Thankfully the rest of the chemical ocean didn't
catch fire.
Eggman let out an angry shout from the eggviper as it sank into
the ocean once more, parts of the Viper sparking a bit as it
headed under. The water would once again begin to rock the
platform as the waves of the chemicals caused the floating
platforms to shake.
Sonic would probably notice the fact that his shoes were
melting, the corrosive chemicals too much for the fabrics of his
shoes to handle, leaving him barefoot.
Again there was silence for some time before behind them the
eggviper burst from the water in another arc, sending another
volley of lasers at them and the platform. After that it sank
back into the water and disappeared, only to show up just in
front of the platform, the front end of the viper charging up
energy for what was going to be a rather devastating attack.
They could see eggman in the cockpit, now was their chance to
strike!

Veira was glad to see their attack had worked, however that was
turned to shock as the chemicals around Eggman exploded rather
violently due to her lightning. That was a mental note to
herself not to try that again. She also jumped back a bit as the
chemicals flew across the ground dissolving it right before
their eyes. " Great....less room means more trouble..." Veira
said in annoyance. She looked to Sapphire who had shouted at
Sonic in the most shocking way possible.
" Maurice?...Is that his real name?" Veira asked herself as she
looked at Sonic. She looked at his shoes and watched as they
melted right before her. No doubt it came from the chemicals.
Man this day just keeps getting better and better. When Eggman
went under again, Veira looked around a bit. Was he going for
the same attack pattern?
Her answer came to her as he appeared behind them again firing
his wave of lasers. Veira leaped high into the air not wasting
anytime. When she landed, Eggman had just changed his position.
With him visible, they had a staright shot at him. Rushing off
towards him, she began to spin like a drill and attacked the
cockpit with a hard lightning kick before flipping towards the
platform.

Seeing his sneakers start to be eaten away by the corrosive
liquid he skidded to a stop atop the metal surface. His ears
stood on end hearing what looked like Sapphire berate him and
scream out his real name. Sonic wasn't sure how or why she knew
that but he knew he didn't want to respond nor did he have the
time to process all of this during the middle of a battle.
Seeing Veria had ruined his strategy Sonic begun to become
annoyed. He crossed his arms and thought to himself. 'If you're
the real Sapphire you're in trouble because you've just revealed
my name before my mortal enemy. If you're not how the hell do
you know my name? Also we've got this new dame with the
lightning getting in my way. Man do I miss my days as a solo act
with nobody getting in my way. These two aren't even on my
level." Finishing his thought Sonic saw a chance to strike.
Taking the chance to bring the Egg Viper down Sonic picked up a
large piece of steel. He spun his arm around at high speeds. He
slung the steel shrapnel at speeds of over 600 miles per hour
intending on striking the cockpit. However at the last moment
Veria got in his way causing him to throw the steel upwards so
he wouldn't kill her. "STAY OUT OF THE WAY." Sonic shouted. For
the most part he ignored what he assumed to be a fake Sapphire
really needing to keep his head in the game however her constant
pestering to help was grating upon the hero. As the lasers were
headed for Sapphire he pushed her out of the way taking the
brunt of the blast. The super heated beams scotched Sonic
burning his fur and searing his flesh. Sapphire would be pushed
aside as Sonic stood smoking legs shaking trying his best to
deal with the pain. He fell to one knee holding his hands over
his burning gut.
"Man that hurt......What I wouldn't give to have the
brothers,Karahl or the real Sapphire at my side. These losers
are going to get me killed. No team work or tactics
just...attack attack attack." Sonic shook his head trying his
best to keep the pain at bay. He inhaled taking a deep breath
before slowly limping towards Sapphire. He snatched the power
ring from her possession holding it skywards. The golden glow
engulfed the hero as he stare down Robotnik. "Yo lardass! Quit
wasting your time with appetizers. The main course is right
here." With a violent glare Sonic looked towards the two girls.
"You two need to leave before you get me killed. Neither of you
are trained Freedom Fighters and you're just going to slow me
down." Given that Sonic tossed the ring into the air spinning it
around his finger before closing it within his grasp. "Come on
Eggman! Let's Dance!"

after seeing Sonic's shoes be eaten away, Sapphire lifted a foot
to offer her speed boots to Sonic like she'd done on Robotnik's
ship all that time ago. She put her leg back down after he
yelled at Veira though and scowled. He had changed actually.
He'd become more of a jerk.
The hedgehog was quick but Sonic was of course quicker in
pushing her away and pushing her over to get her out of harms
way, something she would've been thankful for if there was
actually something coming her way and if the push hadn't made
her smack her chin for a third time. "Ow..". Now bleeding a bit,
she'd push herself up again and wipe her chin. She didn't get
why Sonic bothered to help her if he believed her to be fake.
Sapphire's lower lip would quiver seeing Sonic hurt and straight
away her hands went to her back for her medigun, he was only
still for a short amount of time though but she managed to get a
little healing on him in that time before he'd be shooting off
again.
When Sonic came for the power ring she couldn't even manage a
smile towards him. She just looked aside as she unclipped her
bracelet and let the ring slip off and into his hands
"[sub][sub]You're welcome...[/sub][/sub]" She'd say softly as
even though she offered it to him, he still snatched it from
her.
The next thing to come from Sonic's mouth though... "The only
person here putting anyone in danger is yourself, you're not
letting the team you have here help, Freedom fighters work
together, you're the one trying to lone wolf this mister big
shot" She spat, clicking her fingers to form her hammer again
after putting back the medigun onto its pack. If she could,
she'd ask Veira if she wanted to follow before going back, to
leave Sonic to do it himself and probably get himself killed.
Unfortunately, for one, they where low on foot space so getting
back was questionable, and two, sadly for her, she needed Sonic
alive to exist herself.

/>Sapphire would call out, going to Sonic's side as he spun the
ring around his finger. With her hammer in hands she'd wait,
Sonic was the leader of the freedom fighters wasn't he? "Waitin
on your command Blue." She'd say, not looking at the other blue
hedgehog as she said it. There was no current teamwork so she
was going to try a different way at getting it. She could work
with Veira easily, Sonic on the other hand was harder with how
he believed her to be fake. Maybe he'd take a leading role
better at the moment. Which was why she stood back until Sonic
told her to make a move.
Sapphire believed he wouldn't, or would say something along the
lines of if you want to help, go away. Regardless, she'd stay by
and be ready to help. That was what the real Sapphire would do.

Veira flipped back as she heard Sonic yell at her for being in
the way. What was he trying to do exactly? Watching him shove
Sapphire out of the way to avoid the lasers was okay but the way
he did got her blood boiling as her fur stood on end. Was this
the way he always was or did something change him. Either way,
Veira couldn't stand his attitude. She almost considered hitting
him herself but seeing Sapphire that made her rethink that
thought.
She gave a small snort before drawing her sword and landing at
the opposite side of Sonic. " Your a real piece of work
Maurice....for someone who thinks this Sapphire is a fake, you
sure have an odd sense of saving people even if they aren't
real. Or is it that you do believe she's real and you don't want
her to fade away like before....deep down you know the truth..."
she stated as she focused on Eggman.
" Besides i'm here for Blaze. I don't care about your damn ego
or your mortal enemy. Your reckless and inexperience and a fool
if you think you can take this guy on your own. We've fought
this guy while you've been off on your little journey. We've
done our best to protect the city and anyone this madman has
threatened without your help. Personally I don't care if you
like me or not...if you die then so does Sapphire and I won't
allow that to happen...." she finished before taking a ready
stance.
" So for the sake of my friends I will tolerate your so called
leadership...whether you want the help or not your stuck with
us." she added as chaos energy formed around her.

Sonic shook his head running his hands through his spines
addressing Veria. "Excuse me for not wanting something that
looks like family getting blasted. I watched Sapphire make the
ultimate sacrifice for her friends and I'll be damned if I'll
let some pretender taint her memory. She was a hero. As for you
I don't care if you're sleeping with Blaze or if you're his
mother. Blaze,Ty and Karahl have proven themselves selfless
warriors. To me you're just some jumped up skirt.Blaze must be
desperate to be dating you. Oh you protected the city while I
was away? Great job you did lightning legs. Yeah was letting
Eggman bomb the place into oblivion part of your plan? That
never would have happened on my watch. Call me what you like but
you need me it's that simple. Now shut you're mouth and pay
attention. Sapphire I need you to use your hammer to hit me into
the head of the machine as hard as you can. Once I crack the
cockpit You'll fire a bolt of lighting into the controls sending
the machine haywire." Sonic pointed towards the cockpit curling
into a spindash revving up on the spot. "Okay hit me!"

Sapphire was beginning to tear up a bit at the two, a good
friend and her father fighting, perfect, loving the teamwork.
She wanted to be anywhere but here and her time right about now.
She gave Veira a thankful smile, at least someone believed her
and stood up for her, against Sonic too mind you.
Rubbing her eyes she'd set herself up to launch Sonic like he
asked her to do. Gripping her hammer and closing her eyes as
Sonic continued to talk down Veira...
There where many things Sonic too had tried to defend and had t
managed to do so, so well... Now wasn't the time to bring it up
though. They had an egg to crack.
When Sonic shouted out, Sapphire would swing her hammer hard
sideways to slam it against the hedgehog and send him flying in
the direction he'd wanted to go. She was about to cheer in
seeing him go where he wanted to but she'd drop to the ground
and clutch at her chest a bit before she could, gasping for air.
She hadn't hurt Sonic bad or anything but a hit was a hit,
thankfully it'd be something that would pass though. But for now
she'd stay on all fours trying to steady her breathing as her
vision blurred. "Get him Sonic!"

Something finally clicked within Sonic he was looking at this
entire awkward situation the wrong way. This entire time he's
been looking at things they way they seemed not the way he
wanted to. In truth Sonic never wanted a daughter or a
relationship with Amy, the very thought repulsed him. Sent
spinning towards the mechanical Viper Sonic smashed against the
windscreen causing a crack. While looking through the tinted
glass Sonic looked face to face with Eggman. Glaring deep into
his eyes Sonic smiled. He held up a small plastic package
sticking it to the windscreen. In a flash Sonic whisked around
Eggman's machine attaching more of the blinking boxes all around
the robot. Sonic finally landed upon the platform touching down.
The tiny blinking lights flashed all over serpent as Sonic
pulled out a slim silver device with a metal trigger. He looked
to Sapphire shaking his head.
"You know what Sapphire. You're no daughter of mine. Your father
is some jerk who let his little girl come to the past and never
bothered to come looking for her. Who can forgive somebody so
heartless towards his own family. You know Kid I lost my little
brother because of a maniac like the one were fighting here, but
yanno it's not all losses. I gained something the day I met you.
I gained an annoying kid sister who follows me around and won't
leave me alone, but she's also a hell of a party. Loyal, brave
and beyond kind to those she calls friends. From here on out I
don't want to hear you calling me Dad anymore. Just Bro or Sonic
will do."
He smiled and gave a thumbs up his cocky grin lighting up his
face. "Besides you're crazy. Coming from the future what a load
of nonsense. I'm the only person awesome enough to move through
time freely. So let's let this whole future thing rest shall we?
Besides the future isn't set in stone. The future is what we
make it and it's yet to be written. So tell me do you guys know
the sound a make when I shatter the sound barrier? A Sonic
Boom!"
With that he clicked the trigger and the bleeping plastic
explosives covering the egg viper ignited into a fiery inferno.
Tiny explosions littered the slithering machine intending to
blow the whole thing apart or at least a few holes in it. If
Eggman looked at the packet stuck to his windshield closely he
could see it was labeled C4. Throwing the detonator over his
shoulder he passed Vira pointing. "Fire away now." He offered
Sapphire a hand up reaching down to her. "Come on. The fights
not over yet and I still need you."

Veira let Sonic's comments wash over her as he did his best at
insulting her. Funny how a hedgehog wants to pick a fight with a
wolf. She found it...amusing to say the least. Still they had a
job to do and Blaze was here, she could feel it. " Just deal
wwith him and Blaze will be back safe and sound..." Veira told
herself as she waited for her moment to strike. When Sapphire
hit Sonic, he flew off at quite a fast speed before he started
to do something to Eggman's robot.
When Sapphire flinched and fell over, Veira was worried for the
girl. She wondered if Sapphire was tired from their earlier
fight or did it have something to do with Sonic? A question for
another time it seemed. Then Sonic started speaking about
Sapphire in a way that left Veira speechless a bit. She wondered
how Sapphire would take it. When the sound of explosions going
off, Veira turned her head towards the robot as lightning
sparked around her a bit. " ..." Veira raised her hand at the
robot as red lightning surged through her body.
Taking aim at the spot as instructed, the huntress fired a
strong bolt of lightning hoping to destroy the robot.

Eggman Cackled. "Maurice? That is your real name sonic? Oh come
on you are making this too easy!" He slapped his knee and threw
his head back and laughed, only for Viera to kicked on side of
his cockpit, in which the glass began to crack. And then Sonic
threw something at it, causing the other side to crack. "Agh!
Thats very rude! Trying to break my toys are you Sonic?" He
slammed on the controls a few times before blinking as C4
appeared around his robot. " W-what!?"
Then came the boom. Which caused the chemical ocean to splash
all over the platform they were on. The Egg Viper began to
spark, several chunks of it now falling off and sinking into the
ocean. However it was not down and out. "You Cursed Rodents!"
Shouted Eggman in a fit of rage, before that laser that had been
charging fired. The thick beam was three feet in diameter and
quickly raked across the entire platform in one movement to the
right, before both sides of its cannons began to fire in an
arcing pattern on to the platform to blast them.
After that The Eggviper sank back into the water and disappeared
from sight.
