Chemical Plant Zone: Act 2 An Eggcelent Adventure.

Eggman smiled as he watched the feed, watching sonic and his
friends rush off to meet him. "Good..." He said softly, stroking
his mustache. As the group of three rushed through the zone he
spoke up through various intercoms. "OH Soniiiic~" Called
Eggman. "I'm so glad you've accepted my invitation to a private
meeting." Eggman's cackled escaped the intercom. " I even have
an old friend here for you!"
There was the sound of splashing water from behind the group and
the sides of the railings they ran on. There was a shuttering
in the water before and explosion of chemicals besides them,
which came raining down on them. Two robotic killer whales swam
besides them, before the ground behind them another would burst
through the pipes. It would rush towards them smashing through
the pipes as it gained on them.
"I hope you Like EggWhale and his Killer Crew sonic! I made them
specifically for you. THEY ARE YOUR BIGGEST FANS!" Then the
cackling manic laughter came.

Sonic stopped dead in his tracks as his eyes were wide with
fear. His jaw dropped as he watched the fearsome fish smashing
apart the area like it was on a mission to tear Sonic limb from
limb. "It had to be water or whales........ My only two fears
and of all the things in the world it had to be Killer Whales.
Man I must have been a real ba,stard to orcas in a past life
cause these things just hate me." He let loose with an annoyed
groan.

Television sets all over the world were tuned to RNN as the
openings jingle played the shadows were lifted to reveal a
lovely android made to resemble an attractive overlander woman.
She brushed her metallic bangs away from her glowing yellow eyes
as she begun speaking. "Breaking news live from the abandoned
chemical plant. We've had reports of Sonic being exposed for the
sniveling coward he really is." Footage played behind Beck of
Sonic fleeing from a killer whale. As the tape rolled on it
showed the hero climbing up a pole hanging on for dear life as
the ocra snapped at him. The hedgehog looked positively
petrified. Beck smiled and shook her head. "To think some
networks call him a hero. What you see before you is the true
face of Sonic Hedgehog." Beck picked up a stack of paper as the
footage of Sonic was replayed and slowed down showing the sheer
terror in his expressions. "See Sonic got his start selling
cigarettes to school children. From there he started to control
crime through sheer intimidation. In the guise of a hero he took
down rival gangs so his organized crime family called the
Freedom Fighters could run the city. I'm Beck Barbas, just doing
Robotnik's work. Good night." With that the lights dimmed and
the transmission ended.

Veira had just about caught up with the two hedgehogs when
Eggman's voice ranged over the intercoms around the plant. Boy
did this guy love to poke fun at Sonic. Then again, now adays
who doesn't? It was then the sound of splashing water was made
close by. Taking a look to the sides of the railings, killer
whales were following them. Not to mention, the larger one that
appeared behind them.
" Oh you can't be serious..." Veira muttered as she too made a
run for it. There was no way she was getting caught up in those
killer whales teeth. Putting a little more speed behind her
steps, Veira started to show sparks while running.

Sapphire froze, her blood running cold at the splashing noises
rising up from behind her, Sonic and Veira. She turned a bit
slow for someone who's known to be a bit quicker with things,
her eyes wide with fright.
After the chemicals rained down on them a bit from the
explosion, Sapphire would give a shake, sticking out her tongue,
this whole zone was just. Bleh.
When the whales came into things, the hedgehog would pause for a
moment, checking the mechanical creatures, as magnificent as
they where, they where just robots and unfortunately not the
real thing. Blast, she'd always wanted to have a talk with more
aquatic life, especially something as beautiful as a whale.
Could've tried asking them not to kill her and the other two as
well, but again, just robots.
She let out a soft squeal of sorts as one burst through the
pipes, smashing its way towards them. Both Veira and Sonic had
already dashed off away from the whales and now Sapphire thought
it'd be a good idea to do so as well. She got a few steps in
before she'd trip, smacking her chin onto the ground below,
there was no time to think about the pain from it though! She'd
start moving her legs before her chin was even fully off of the
ground, pushing herself back up right with her hands, she'd rub
under her chin as it started to throb a little, probably a
bruise would come from it later. After revving her feet once she
was back on them she'd shoot off after the other two, running
alongside Veira since she didn't want to 'spook' Sonic. "Would
it be an idea to use your lightning on the water, liquid thing
around us, whatever it really is. You know how water and
electricity get along for one." Sapphire suggested to the wolf,
keeping a hold of the power ring which she'd actually slip onto
one of her arms after unclipping a bracelet which she'd then
reclip on so she'd have less of a chance at loosing the golden
glowing ring.
Now with it secure she'd whip her hammer out. Make what the
robotic whales where using to get around no longer safe for the
robots, or find the weak spot of it, there was always one of
those.
Sapphire would turn and start running backwards, keeping Veira
right there and in view in case something came up ahead and
she'd know to turn around. Now facing the whales, she'd narrow
her eyes and try to look for something on them that was
potentially a kill spot.

"We're back with more breaking news. Today we bring you an
exposeing exclusive on Sapphire. She claims to be from the
future. However our reports show she's a dangerous mental
patient whose escaped from a maximum security asylum. A self
proclaimed lover of animals is merely a ruse to cover up her
numerous charges of animal cruelty. She uses her oversized
hammer to flatten poor defenseless animals. And if that wasn't
bad enough we've got a recorded statement right here of this
disturbed young lady saying she plans to eletricute a killer
whale. This is an endangered species that needs protection. Can
anybody protect these majestic creatures from this monster? We
can only hope our Supreme High Robotnik will bring her swift and
divisive justice."

The whales continued after the group, every moment they were on
that railing the more in danger they were as they were quickly
running out of it behind them. There wasn't any real visible
weak point on the whales, however soon enough all three of the
group would of hit a dash pad and been sent rushing through a
loop and over a jump. They themselves would find themselves
landing on a very small platform In fact it was only four
platforms wide, with a separate platform on the other side
mimicking it in size and shape.
There was no where else to go... Maybe it was a trap? No it
couldn't of been. There was nothing else here. The platform
would shake, as the chemical sea began to ripple. The ground
shook softly before Eggman's voice rang out. Not on a speaker
but actually there.

"WAHAHAHAHA!" Laughed Eggman, his robots Cockpit opening as he
made an appearance. He rose up and put a foot on the front of
the armor before speaking. "Nice for you to show up Sonic. I
didn't want to wait for you being slow..." He cackled again
before shaking his head. "And I see you brought your friends.
Viera and Sapphire if I'm not mistaken." He stroked his
mustache. He'd focus on Viera. "Blaze works for me now. He's
betrayed you and your friends. All because of you.. Good job.
Really nice job there." His head turned to Sapphire. "And you...
The child from the future." He frowned. "I'm afraid your from a
future that doesn't exist." He cackled to himself. " I'll have
fun erasing all of you from existence." He hopped back in his
chair as the cockpit closed.
"MY EGG VIPER WILL DESTROY YOU MEDDLING HEDGEHOGS!" THe viper
shuttered before dipping down into the chemicals and
disappearing from visibility. There was silence for a few
moments before The viper shot out of the water behind them in an
arc before several lasers fired out of its side at them and the
platform.
"GET A LOAD OF THIS!"

With his speed Sonic dodged the lasers without breaking a sweat.
"Let's see how slow you think I am once I tear you outta that
machine and shove my sneakers where the sun doesn't shine."
Sonic said with a smug smile. He looked back to Sapphire and
Veira confused by Eggman's statement. "Man he's really pulling
out all the stops to convince me this imposter is Sapphire."
Sonic though to himself. Personally Sonic would have rather have
had Sapphire and Karahl or the elemental brothers in his back at
this during this fight not two perfect strangers. He decided to
block the two out and just focus on the fight at hand. Sonic got
down onto all fours as his legs whirred to live into a rapid
motion of red and white. With a confident expression he shot off
the platform like a rocket. Running so fast he was treading atop
the chemical the speedster started making a circular motion.
Circling the platform a few hundred times a second Sonic had
created a vortex of wind and water that would protect the people
and come crashing down on Eggman should he try to enter.

Veira hesitated for a minute as she watched the whales as they
drew closer to them. " It's best that we don't/ I'd rather not
take the chance and end up blowing us up. Let's keep moving-
ahh!" Veira said as she stepped on the speed panel and was sent
through the loop before landing on the platforms. Taking a look
around, they were surrounded by more chemicals and another set
of platforms across from them.
When Eggman showed up, Veira's fur stood on end as she growled
at the overlander. " Where is he?!" Veira shouted as her fur
turn purple as her hands glowed red with lightning. When the
robot went under, she became defensive. Suddenly the robot
appeared behind them and fired lasers at the three.
Quickly jumping out the way, Veira took a chance at firing at
the robot while it was caught in the tornado with a small energy
sphere of lightning.

Sapphire held out her arms and waved them around around after
the three hit the boost pad and ran the loop, landing up a
platform together she tried to land it right by curling up to
roll and then spring back up onto her feet. She managed the roll
but on springing back up she'd slip up, faceplanting into the
ground of the platform they'd landed on, smacking her already
bruised chin again.
Sapphire would bite her lower lip and scrunch up her nose at the
sharp pain as she pushed herself back up onto her feet, pushing
herself back up and brushing herself off, giving off a cough.
The hedgehog would be rubbing her sore chin as Eggman started
talking at her, she'd blink and then shoot him a fowl scowl "Oh
it exists, and I know exactly what happens to YOU in it" She'd
shoot back before taking a step back, her eyes widening at The
Viper coming into play.
As the lasers where fired, Sapphire would give a quick gasp
before giving a quick leap, only just dodging the lasers.
Watching Sonic go round and round, she'd shake her head a bit,
he seemed to be trying to fight this alone, why'd he always have
to think he had to do it all alone? They could take down Eggman
quicker if they worked together, couldn't they? "Sonic" Sapphire
would say as he went round again, nothing. "Sonic" She'd repeat,
raising her voice a bit more, still no. "Maurice Hedgehog!"
She'd say sternly in a voice that'd probably remind him of
another hedgehog whom was pink in colour, giving a stamp of her
foot as she stuck out her lower lip in a pout, hands going to
her hips. "You didn't even gimme a chance to prove I am actually
myself beforehand, and you're still not now, it's been a year or
so and you're still the same, you don't have to fight this
alone, can You at least stop for a moment and let me give you
something to help you out? You can think I'm a fake, you ran off
before I had the time to even think of how to prove myself to
you and we don't have the time right now. But just please, let
me help? What are Freedom Fighters for?" She'd ask, her ears
lowering a tad, it hurt that Sonic thought she was a fake, but
she couldn't blame him after how she left last time. How to
prove she was the real thing she wasn't sure.
It was like telling him she was his daughter all over again but
worse. She'd not yet throw an attack Eggman's way but would keep
a watch out for any further attacks.
"Or did the Freedom Fighters become a solo act while I was
gone?"
