Angel Island: Operation Master Thief (One Off)

Mobotropolis was being attacked by his forces, meaning their
heroes would be distracted. No doubt the fools would of played
right into Eggman's brilliant plan, as they had so far. Eggman
chuckled to himself, as he floated down to Angel Island in his
Eggmobile, both Orbot and Cubot following in tow.
"I can't believe my plan is working so well." Eggman spoke, a
hint of glee in his tone. "Sonic is no where to be found, and
without that two tailed fox of his and that plane he wouldn't be
able to stop me." He chuckled to himself, stroking his
mustache.
"It seems your plan so far has been unbeatable." said Orbot.
"Everything you've planned has gone perfectly Doctor, as usual."
Cubot thought for a moment before speaking up. " But what about
that red guy that Robotnic's data warned us about?"
Eggman smiled. "That won't be a problem. He hasn't been seen for
ages. With out luck he's probably dead in some ditch somewhere,
rotting away." Eggman cackled at the thought before shaking his
head. " Which means the Master Ring of this world, The Master
Emerald, is Unguarded and ready for the taking. So we'll swooce
on in and steal it."
Orbot and Cubot looked at one another.
"Swooce?" Asked Cubot
Orbot shrugged.
Eggman's eggmobile floated down towards the temple, following
his onboard chaos radar. " I know its around here somewhere.
The amount of chaos energy here is the strongest on the
planet..." He frowned looking about. "Cubot. Orbot spread out
and find it." Both of the Henchbots nodded before heading off
into the area to find it. Eggman sighed. " Note to self... Make
better henchbots.."
The search took nearly an hour, before Cubot finally found the
emerald. "Doctor! I've located the Master Emerald!"
Eggman smiled when he heard the news and flew over only to come
to a slow halt. " Dear lord, look at the size of it..." He
muttered. He shook his head. " Good work Cubot. Now stand back."
The Eggmobile would hover over the emerald, before the bottom
opened, revealing a claw. It would lower and take hold of the
master emerald before lifting it up off its pedastal. This
caused Angel Island to begin shaking. Eggman looked about and
nodded. " C'mon you two lets get back to base before the Island
falls completely."
With that Eggman and his henchbots headed out, quickly flying
towards a warp ring that appeared and vanishing when they went
through it.

Teliko had come to Angel Island on order to study how to harness
chaos energy. She chose this place because of it's high levels
of chaos energy radiating from the Master Emerald and because
she wouldn't be disturbed given the solitary nature of the
island. She returned from her patrol of the island returning to
the alter of the glistening green gem. Her eyes shot wide open
as the empty alter was reflected in the surface of her glasses.
She rushed over to the empty temple top to see the probes she
had draining energy from the gem unplugged. "Nonononononononoo."
She screamed frantically tearing at her hair that was tied into
a neat bun. As if Teliko hadn't already had enough to worry
about the island begun to fall into the ocean without the power
of the emerald to suspend it in the air. She spread her
feathered wings and took to the skies like a purple angel. She
tried to snatch up as many of her journals and data logs she
could before the island sunk into the ocean. She adjusted her
glasses watching as the island paradise was swallowed up the the
sea. A few of the loose books containing her notes on the Master
Emerald fell from her grasp into the waters below. Both annoyed
and stressing out chronically she started to hyperventilate
clinging to her notes wondering how this could have happened.
"Months of research lost in an instant." She said with a sad
sigh shaking her head as her wings flapped helping her gain
height.
