The End. (Sandover Edition)

The time had come. Robotnik had been defeated, and banished
from reality. Eggman had bide his time, and now it was the time
to strike. Mobotropolis.... Home of the Acorn Family, and most
of the civilized Mobian population. A bustling city of almost
perfect unity. How Eggman despised it. It was an eye sore, and
it had to go.

Early in the afternoon, Every electronic device with a screen
and/or speakers seemed to fizzle out. Eggman's image replaced
Everything. He sat in his command chair, the Eggman Symbol held
behind him. "People of Mobius." He began. "I congratulate you
on defeating Robotnik once and for all. Such a terrible ugly
thing had to be gotten ridden of in order for progress to be
made on this planet. And Progress is exactly what will be made."
Eggman stood slowly, staring at the camera he spoke into, which
followed him as he stood. "Its been quite fun... Running Eggman
land. That is but a preview of plans.... A simple Preview..."
Eggman narrowed his eyes, before slamming his hand on a large
red button on a console he stood next to. "Let me unveil to
you..."
The whole planet began to shake and quake, as the moon in the
sky, began to turn slowly. "My latest Endevour as the genius I
am...." The Moon turned every moment showing that their moon
was no longer a large beautiful white rock, but instead, a
mustached Space station. "My Fortress. The Death Egg Mk 2." The
planet stopped shaking, but the damage had already been done.
Eggman smiled, stroking his Mustache. " And let it be known that
from this moment onward. I. Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. Am now
This planets Ruler..." The doctor began to laugh. It started
slow, before quickly growing more manic. The laughing would
continue for several moments before abruptly ending. Eggman
sighed looking back into the camera. "I will not roboticize you.
I will not Tolerate Rebels... And I will not tolerate Freedom
Fighters."
Eggman chuckled to himself, as the sky over the city darkened, A
large number of eggfleet ships now dropping their cloaking as
they hovered over it. Their bomb bays opened slowly, revealing
several Hundred volleys of bombs.
Eggman narrowed his eyes. "...And I will not tolerate Rival
Powers..." Eggman pointed foreward. "DESTORY MOBOTROPOLIS! WHIPE
IT OFF THE PLANET!"
The bombs began to drop, hissing and screeching as they fell
through the air. Explosions would rock the earth as fire and
debris were sent flying every which way. Hundreds of mobians.
Silenced in an instant. THe bombing was going to continue for
several days, until nothing but a crater remained in place of
the city.
Eggman looked back to the screen, smiling to himself. "Run and
flee all you want you Mammalian Pests..." His eyes narrowed, as
he scowled into the camera. " But sonic can't save you any
longer...." With that the video feed cut out, Leaving The
Eggman Symbol burned into the screens, as the Eggman Anthem
Played on loop.
It was the beginning, of the End.

As the ground shook Sonic fell to the floor wondering what had
happened. He looked up his eyes quickly catching the bombs
before they fell. The boasting of the maniac's voice droned in
the back of his mind as he rushed off towards the city. Sonic
was pushing himself harder than ever to save the people he'd
protected for so long from certain death. However before he
could reach the city the blast from the bombs pushed Sonic away
sending him flying a good hundred meters away. He dared to look
up the resulting death and destruction reflected off his green
eyes. The hedgehog was speechless he felt a hot wave rush over
with along with the sound of a thousand souls being
extinguished. As the dust settled he slowly walked into the once
proud city that was now bombed out ruins. Everywhere he looked
the memories he had of the place were projected onto the ruined
landscape. He remembered the time he and Sapphire shared their
first chilidog on the corner near Flavie's diner. He then looked
to the south and saw the street he and Tails used to live on.
Before long the repressed emotions brought Sonic to his knees as
he stopped before the castle. The hero was devastated staring
upon the ruined castle capital. His eyes grew wide and scared as
he choked out his words.
"Constance.....Tikal,Crime...Flavie...Soul,Uncle
Chuck...Sapphire...Tails.....I couldn't protect any of you...."
That last sentence he said rung in his head as he lamented in
his failure. He couldn't stand the sight of the place any longer
he rushed away back to Sandover as fast as his feet could carry
him. Before long he came crashing to the ground tears streaking
from his eyes. He had a mouth full of sand and a bloody knee but
none of that mattered. The blue hero looked skyward as Eggman
addressed him directly with that last part. "He's right......if
we fight more people will die....It was bad enough loosing
Sapphire and Tails to Robotnik...I can't loose my team their all
I have left." He screamed till his lungs emptied themselves of
air before gasping for more. It was at that moment Sonic fell to
thee ground mind going blank as his head hit the sand.
The waves came crashing across the beach splashing past the
hedgehog's head as he zoned out. "I can't believe this. The
nightmare was meant to be over when we got rid of
Robotnik.....I...can't go back to fighting like people will
expect of me. Blaze...Ty Karahl...If I make a stand they'll be
killed just like Tails and Sapphire." For the first time the
super hero felt powerless to protect the ones he cared about. He
buried his head into the sand hoping he'd wake up from what he
assumed to be a bad dream.

On that afternoon the pink hedgehog Sakura wasn't much aware of
what was happening, as she was still halfway back to check up on
the city. The only thing that caught her attention was the sky
turning dark only to look up and see a fleet of ships hovering
above her. Looking at the fleet she saw one dropping down a bomb
and blowing the city to smithereens. "No.." she muttered
covering her mouth in shock but the attack did not end there as
an array of nukes came each minute. Large fires, broken debris,
screaming citizens.She felt the ground trembling her ears were
flinching from the tragic sounds, her eyes filling up with tears
watching every mobian passing away from the tragedy. Her heart
began to race as she tried to run away however the impact from
the explosion pushed her away as she crashed by a behind a tree
and bushes a high-pitched sound rang came before her ears,
before she was knocked out on the ground.
There was nothing she could see it was pitch black at the moment
and all she heard was high-pitched sound still ringing on her
ears. She slowly began to gain consciousness, receiving a few
bruises and cuts however her eyes were so blank, much like a
lifeless doll. She turned around and noticed the smoke coming
out from her city , her legs were trembling trying to stand up.
Inch by inch she limped to site where the city was only it was
in deep deep ruins. Compared to the last time this one was
worse, however she still couldn't notice a thing with her eyes
staring blankly and her ears were still buzzing around. By the
time she was done limping she found herself standing in a pile
of bricks and dust which appeared to be the center of the big
crater where their city used to stand. A familiar sound broke
through her ears and empty feeling as she turned to find out his
partner Soul. The cyan hedgehog approached her, the minute he
did she buried her face in his chest before kneeling down with
tears flowing from her face.
The horrid scene triggered a memory from last year, the same
thing happened when Robotnik nuked the city again, this time it
was worse. She held on to the hedgehogs red vest clutching it in
agony as she was slowly brought to her knees. The cyan hedgehog
could still feel her traumatized by the accident. The only sound
that came from her afterwards was the sound of her wailing at
the top her lungs.

Mallow had been admiring the gems Sonic had given him, examining
them in the light and in the dark of his closet, finding out
that they glowed made him suspicious just a bit; enough that he
went to the library early, looking up gemstones that could glow.
With the limited selection of research materiel, he only got a
few hits, which mostly pointed towards them being the Chaos
Emeralds. But that was rediculous of course. Sonic would never
give someone like HIM gems of ultimate power. Sonic didn't like
him, Mallow just recently brought him down from hating him, so
there was no way he would just give him the chaos emeralds.
These were probably just rocks that looked like them... yeah
that was probably it.
He closed the case and slid it among his shoe box collection,
when the front door of his home burst open. "Mallow!" His
neighbor Jethro called in a voice of such alarm that the rabbit
rushed into the living room with great haste to see what was the
matter. "What is it? Is it Martha? Is she alright??"
Jehtro waved him silent and grabbed the TV remote then turned on
the news.
Mallow watched dumbfounded footage of Mobotropolis being
destroyed and the symbol of Eggman rearing its ugly image up on
his screen. "W-What... is this... some joke?" His knees gave out
and he clung to the coffee table for support. The dance
studio... the students... Oh god no. Mallow half crawled half
stumbled to the bathroom and hovered over the toilet as he lost
his breakfast. He felt a hand on his shoulder, but he flinched
away from the touch. "G-Go to your wife... p-protect her. I need
to be alone." He said shakily. Receding hoofsteps indicated that
his request was granted as he rose slowly to the sink. Knocking
back a shot of mouth wash like it was liquor, he cleaned himself
and stumbled out towards the bedroom, straight to his closet. A
blood curdling scream from a familiar voice halted his steps and
he turned towards the direction. The beach. He shut the closet
door and headed outside. He could hear the sobbing and wailing
of the entire village, sometimes he really cursed his super
hearing.
Shaking his head, he continued down beach side till he came
across Sonic, lying face down in the sand, close to the water
front. Seeing the water coming passed his head and the hedgehog
not moving despite his famous fear of water, Mallow's mind went
to images of Sonic being injured and picked up the pace.
Crouching beside the catatonic hedgehog, he would try to turn
him over and examine him for injuries. Only a scraped knee, but
he was seeing signs of shock. "Sonic... Sonic, can you hear me?"
He tried to get a response from him. Going over his medical
knowledge of wilderness medicine and first aid, he would attempt
to carefully move the smaller mobian away from the water's edge,
and removed his shirt. Bunching the fabric up, he would tuck it
underneath the hedgehog's legs to try getting the blood flow
going towards the head, then removed the faded blue scarf around
his neck. Wetting it from the sea water, he rung it out and
would try to place it on the hedgehog's forehead. He didn't have
his firstaid kit here, so he would have to make due until
someone else came to help.

It was just like any other peaceful day in the afternoon; one of
mobians protectors can be seen minding his own businuess
munching down a mediocre tasting Meh Burger. Sure the jet black
wolf prefers to eat a chili dog like everyone else but there
comes a time when you want to eat something different every once
in a while.
"I dont understand how can anyone eat this stuff..nobody knows
what ingrediance Dave uses to make these burgers but we eat it
anyway; I bet if he served us garbage we still would have ate
it." he he mutters as he swallows the remaining pieces of the
sandwhich then sipped his drink to wash it down.
He stood up from his seat preparing to go someplace else when
suddently his wrist communicator activiates upon recieving a
notification.
"Hm?" he presses a button to look at a video feed of Dr. Eggman
showing off his eccentric persona on a broadcasting TV footage;
thats pretty bold giving his...Robotnik-like features but
something about him seems awfully familar.
"Hey...isnt that..the doctor?..I remember him building that
creepy amusment park a long time ago; what is he up to now?" He
stayed silent for the remainder of his message. It was revealed
this guy was actually Robotnik..but how can that be? he was
banished forever in a black hole of darkness without his
equipment so how did he escape something that was unavoidable?
Perhaps this is a different version of Robotnik looking to rule
this world of Mobius..not surprising considering dimension
travel has happened before in the past many times. Throughtout
the video the scene shifted over to Mobotropolis: an area known
for housing its kingdom for Sally Acorn and later Princess
Constance. It also served as the heroes base of operations
unofficially but after countless attacks upon the captial
everyone has decided to move out and go thier seperate ways.
For the most part everything looks the same as it was prior to a
year ago. Nothing was broken nor was anything going on during
the peaceful times. However in a couple of minutes everything
will change and what happens next will change the lives of
many..with no hope of going back to the days of happiness and
harmany.
Arrived to the scene were fleets of ships with Eggmans logo
covering the sky with thier menacing prescence; dropping bombs
endlessly for what it seems like for enternaty. All the
Explosions, Screaming, Blood splattering, Glass
breaking...everything that was well bult and established were
getting wiped out by a madman who just wanted to see the world
burn. Ty's overall expression was practically speechless and
stuck in a state of shock.
His eyes grew big enough for it to fall from thier sockets at
anytime they wish; his jaw dropped down like an anchor
threatining to fall on the ground. His cold heart was racing,
his mind trying to prossess this horrifying information. He
wanted to end the video fefusing to watch anymore but he cant;
he was too shocked to do anything.
Next thing he knows a suddent burst of rage and adrenline
overwhelmed his body...he desperately wanted to make Eggman pay
for his heinous act but he had to take his fury out on
something. With every once of his strengh he kicked the entire
table accidently sending it flying and crashing into the Meh
Burger restaruant itself destroying as a result and possibly
injuring Dave the Intern as well.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN
IT!!!!!....DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!!!!!!!"
He screamed at the top of his lungs roaring at the sky not even
caring if villiagers are nearby.
Finally after coming a realization he knows what he has to do.
Baring his fangs he silently clenches his fists then skates off
to the ruined city to scout for any survivors.
For the next few days he worked tirelessly along with Sonic to
stop some of the bombs and trying his best to evacuate most of
the citizens into safety; the end results of there efforts were
unknown but he hopes there were fewer casuaites from the assult.
Once the bombs were finished the aftermath of the attack was
devestating.
Everyone was..gone..nothing but a massive crator in place of a
once great captial representing the freedom of everyone.
Robotnik may have come close to destroying the city countless
times..but he never succeeded; Not as well as this man this so
called Dr Eggman.
[Fate...why are you doing this to us..all we wanted was a time
of peace and for everyone to get along and be happy and yet you
allow a man with selfish ambitions to take that away from us..]
He lowers his head in defeat mourning for the fallen as he stood
there overhearing Sonic giving up hope..but who could blame him
after all this.
The newcomer Mallow was fortunate to arrive in time to tend
Sonic's injuries; he would have done that himself if he had
further knowledge of medical treatment aside from the very basic
stuff.
He remainined quiet for a solid five minutes simultaniously
grieving and thinking of hiis next course of action until he
came up with an idea. "Hey guys if you can hear me; I know a way
to bring down Eggman..but we have to make new identities for
ourselves in order to make this work." he refers to Sonic,
Mallow and anyone else who came by to help.
"Becuase our identities are known to the public he would expect
us to try and stop him which would give him time to prepare for
a counter attack..so we can use this incident to fake our deaths
and take him out using disguises..that way he wouldnt suspect a
thing"

After the whole battle with the dragon girl and catching up with
friends, Blaze took the time to go train for a little bit by the
shoreline. He was busy focusing on his strikes without relying
on his fire so much. He realized he was still dwelling on old
memories and thus his focus wasn't 100 % in his training right
now as he tried to strike a thick tree. Brusing his hand a bit,
he cursed to himself holding it as he flexed it a few times to
get the feeling back.
Taking a deep breath and channeling his energy, he got ready to
strike again only to be interrupted by the sound of his comlink
going off. Once again slamming his fist into the tree yelling in
pin as he jumped around before sighing in annoyance.
Pressing the button to see who it was stunned the young hunter
as he listened to the mn. " Hey that's Eggman. Wasn't he making
a theme park or something awhile back? Strange seeing his face
after so long." he replied as he scratched his head a bit. Then
the feed switch to mobotropolis and what came next choked Blaze.
His body went limp as he looked at the destruction that was
taken place.
The city of mobotropolis was reduced to a pile of rubble within
moments. Blaze fell to his knees as he watched the destruction
continue. He had a hard time trying to process what he was
seeing. He couldn't believe it. His fist balled up as the feed
ended, his teeth bared as he growled in anger. Then he yelled to
the sky as fire flew from his mouth as he yelled to the heavens.
. After a few moments, the fire died out as did his rage.
It wasn't til a few moments later Sonic came blasting back and
crashing into the ground. No doubt he saw what happened. Only
one thing was clear to Blaze, Eggman was gonna pay.

The sky over the small island would suddenly be black out, as a
large ship passed over the island. An Eggcarrier by the looks of
it. Its bomb bay doors would open, but no bombs would drop.
Instead Pods began to rain down over the Island. Once the pods
impacted their bottoms would shoot off, letting out all sorts of
badniks to cause havoc on the island.
Buzz Bombers would fly over head, firing at anything they could
see, flying in V formations, while the Moto Bugs would start
crashing into things, and generally making a mess. Chaos
quickly gripped the island as the people whom lived their began
to panic. A pod landed not too far off from Sonic and his group.
It was larger than the others, and as it opened Orange
humanoid robots ran out. It was a small legion of Egg Pawns,
each of which were holding shields and Bazookas.
They could be easily be dispatched, when an extra more dangerous
piece was added to the Puzzle. A blue pod slammed into the
ground not far from the other before it violently exploded.
Shooting out from the smoke, with a purple light trail Came a
Metal sonic. It rushed around the group before floating just
above the Legion. It stared down at the group, it's eyes locked
onto sonic. It pointed foreward and the Egg Pawns Charged. The
Eggmetal Legion had arrived, and it was going to be a vicious
battle.

The cyan hedgehog was relieved to see the pink hedgehog again
however in the midst of their sight another nightmare had
appeared right before the hedgehogs eyes as their once beloved
city where all their memories, adventures, families and friends
stored now turned into ash. He felt Sakura suddenly crashing
onto him and grasping on his red vest, the pain of her grasping
wasn't compared to the pain the two are feeling now as he held
onto hers. The both of them together in each others arms, he
began dropping just as the same as she did so they were in each
other knees for comfort. The smell of Burnt bodies, The sight of
Broken structures, and the site of large fires was all that was
surrounding them, looking up at the sky it was filled with smoke
and red the color of bloodshed, and all heard was the wailing
sound of the hedgehog echoing through the entire badland. This
triggered another memory from the cyan hedgehog's past, he
remembered the time with the goddess which resulted into the
genocide of a thousand innocent mobians all because of his
impulsive actions.
He figured he could make it up by helping more to the group
instead of acting harshly without a mind , however the same
thing happened as last year when the doctor blew the city. "Damn
it!! Damn it!!!! DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he yelled at the top of
his voice with his left hand comforting the pink hedgehog while
his other hand was slamming the rubble in anger blaming himself
for being useless and unable to help.He thought with Robotnik
gone their nightmares had ended but seems like it wasn't as a
new problem arose. The pink hedgehog's wail was cut when she
heard Soul shouting and remorse, still in his arms she could
feel his sorrow and anger. Tears began to roll onto his cheeks
as he threw a tantrum and kept on slamming the ground repeating
it until his hands became numb and shook from all those punches,
his eyes filling up with much tears as he let his pair of
glasses fall to the ground.
The pink hedgehog began to calm down for a bit and pushed the
hedgehogs head deeper into hers to seek comfort. The two of them
stood at the spot a few more as they tried to seek solace from
each other. It wasn't long until they decided to move out and go
to safe place for a while which was back at Sandover village to
regroup. Before they left he looked upon the remain of the
missile which had the insignia of a familiar fellow he knew back
then..."Eggman..." he muttered n his mind.
As they arrived to the city he saw the group unharmed from the
incident apart from Sonic a bit, he tended to the pink
hedgehog's injuries too. It wasn't only flesh and blood that was
scarred from them but also their souls would too. Before he
could give a reply to the hybrid's statement, pods began to rain
and from there more badniks appeared along with Metal Sonic.
Haven't they suffer enough yet? With the egg pawns charging the
hedgehog tried to keep them at bay with his burst home as he
blasted into one of them.

Mallow turned to Ty and Blaze. "He's in shock. Please help-" He
stopped talking when the sky suddenly went dark and his ears
were filled with the sounds of giant machines at work. As robots
rained down from the sky, and the Metal Sonic hovered there,
Mallow was suddenly seeing red. "Robotnik..." He growled,
standing up, placing himself between the horde of the enemy and
Sonic. "Get Sonic to a safe place! I'll be right back!" He said
to Blaze and Ty. He needed to get his fighting shoes. Crouching
down, he took a mighty leap over the horde of badnicks, using
some of the aerial bots as stepping stones, destroying them as
he launched himself from their bodies.
A few moments he was at his house, Jethro was doing as Mallow
instructed, protecting his wife. The horse mobian was armed with
the great axe the rabbit had seen hanging above their mantel a
while back ago. Martha was taking down her own share with a
kitchen clever. The rabbit had to hand it to them, they could
handle their own. Mallow made it inside his home and dove for
his shoe collection. Grabbing the box marked with 3 Xs, he
opened the wrapping and slipped on the power enhancing combat
shoes. It was time to test these babies out. Glancing at the
lead-lined case Sonic had given him, he debated whether or not
he should take it, then shook his head. He didn't need to carry
around junk while he fought. First take out the robots, second,
take care of Sonic, and third, worry about jewelry later. He
crouched and turned the dial on the side of his boots, sending
the electrical charge to his foot muscles, then ran out of his
home, locking the door on his way out (just in case).
Mallow 'hop walked' back to the group, the sand billowing in
clouds behind him as he ran. It seemed like his feet were even
stronger. As he approached the Egg Legion from the rear, a grin
spread on his face as jumped into the air aiming towards a large
badnick and brought down his leg. The power of his enhanced kick
shattered the metal shell of the robot and smashed its heavy
body against the sand with a loud BAM! and formed a small
creator around its body.
The rabbit placed his hands on his hips as he stood on top of
the broken bot. "Get ready, darlings." He said to the badnicks.
"You're about to receive one Hell of a performance by yours
truly." he said, striking a dramatic pose, then launched at
another bot.

It didn't take long for Eggman to make a move as, robots stormed
the small island they called home. How could they find them so
quickly. When Metal sonic showed up, Blaze bared his teeth a bit
as his hands emitted flames once more. "Hello new placed
aggression." he replied as started to leap around the area
taking out the small robots first before aiming for meat sonic.
The last thing he needs is the robots going for civilans or
anybody else. And besides wiping out the small ones means no
more backup. Or so he the hunter hopes anyway.
