A very complicated potion request.

It was a nice evening in the woodland. The hunters coming back
with their catch and the villagers preparing for the full moon
celebration. As they were setting the tribute for the lunatics
to feast upon others were reinforcing the huts to stay
sheltered. This year , Valentine was nominated to brew the
potion for the lunacy to end up without a hungover from the
feasting process.
- So... squirrel tail hair, toad breath, mandrake...oh where is
that vial now? -
She replaced her hair and tried to search further in her closet.
Then realised she needed several components for her to make the
potion. Problem was , several herbs and shrooms were on a
dangerous territory. The darkest part of the forest was a scary
landscape and was uneven. She grabbed a basket and all of her
empty vials and an empty jar to fill with water from a pond. She
finally stepped outside of her hut and walked passed the borders
of the village.

It was late in the evening and Veira walked through the woods in
her cloak enjoying the quiet atmosphere. Being away for so long,
she almost forgot what it felt like to be in the woods. Heck
even among the living for that matter. She stared at her hand as
she aimed it at the night sky. Her blue eyes glowing a bit as
she admired the moon. With a content sigh, she continued on her
stroll through the woods unsure of who she was going to run into
way out here.

After a few minutes outside her clan's territory. A faint
sensation of insecurity crawled into her like a huge spider
under her skin. As she looked around she noticed her familiar
starring at her with a cold judging gaze and opened his beak to
spew on a very rude tone.
-Why don't you venture outside more often, scared? Also why did
you got out without a cloack in case you'd get cold or even a
snack to feed me?- to which she responded quickly on a bitter
tone.
-Because you always judge and criticizey every actions and
decision. Also, i'm on a quest to get a precise list of
ingredients so make yourself useful and go fetch squirrel hair
tail why don't you? So i won't hear your yapping.-
She resumed walking in the dark woods picking shrooms on her way
and trying to find some fresh mandragora and other nightshades
when she heard a croaking noise by the pond to spot a huge toad.

Veira continued her walk when the sound of voices were picked up
not far from her. Her ears stood up instantly as she looked
around. "Strange...I didn't think anybody would be out here this
late. Come to think of it who would be this far out in the
woods?" she pondered to herself. Walking a bit further she
managed to arrive at a pond and at the pond she spotted someone.
Perhaps this person was the one she heard. What was the person
doing? Veira tilted her head a bit as she watched her.

She kept talking to her familiar gone venturing in the woods.
-No you can't steal. I've told you before and now i have to ask
a toad for his breath..No i forbid you to eat that..- She seemed
to talk to herself until the bird came back with a tiny pouch of
hair and droped it in her basket.
-Pardon my rudeness mistress but i think we might be observed by
an outsider. An i am not sorry to say that you looked like a
lunatic from afar- he said cackling while she tried to collect
the toad's breath until she heard of the onlooker and dropped
her jar on the ground.
- Why haven't you warned me ? she asked nervous and startled by
the presence. -Because its funnier to see a witch in the woods
talking to a bird. Also try to start a conversation or your
lunacy will start before you can brew the potion for each of
you..-
The statement felt like a cold iron blade and she had so little
time before the moon would affect her.

Veira watched the girl closely. She was talking t herself.
Strange but not uncommon to most people. Maybe she was just
thinking out loud. Then a crow showed up and dropped something
in the girl's basket before she finally noticed Veira. By the
look of things, she seemed frightened by Veira's presence. A
mistake on her part for not saying something. She felt a bit bad
for her so she offered up a hand and waved to show she wasn't
hostile.
"Umm hello? My apologies for not making myself known." she
replied to the fox.

At first she seemed shaken. It was her first time an outsider
would speak to her. The usual conversation being in between her
familiar and herself unless anyone in the clan would need her.
The crow kept cackling at its mistress lack of social skills and
droped an acorn on her head so she would unfreeze and respond to
her interlocutor.
-Ouch ! what would you do that for ?-
Remembering she was spoke to and shyly wave back then looked at
the crow obviously amused by the strange spectacle she
performed. Then tried to pick up her jar awkwardly starring at
the stranger. No word seemed to be able to come out of her mouth
amusing her familiar even more.
- Now what do i do..?- she whispered and he rolled his eyes and
said:
-He good evening stranger. how are you doing in such a fine
soirée? -
Despite Valentine's social skills he on the other side was a
clever animal with a fine tongue when it came to converse with
other beings.

Veira raised an eyebrow at the fox as she slightly crossed her
arms. She really was an odd one. And the crow seemed to know the
fox as well. When she spoke, Veira was slightly relieved the
girl was able to respond back at least. "I'm fine and you? It's
a bit odd to be out here all alone this late at night." she
replied as she looked up at the night sky.

-Oh, you know just... things..- she replied nervously as the
crow wouldn't stop mocking her. He had to add to the humiliation
and spoke out loud to the stranger:
-What are you doing here? This is indeed an awkward situation
we're in. isn't it?- The vixen glared at him infuriated.
-you really had to do this ?
Then sighed as she filled her jar with tadpoles and murky water
before putting it into the basket.
-I was just gathering a few things. Nothing interesting to say
the least..
But the bird starred again at the other one and hoped in her
general direction from branches to branches curious of this new
person who just happened to be there.
-You wouldn't have something to eat i would fancy by any chance?
She won't feed me with what she gathered and there is no way i
will lower myself to stain my feathers on scavenging when
someone can do it for me.-
Valentine grimaced and looked away thinking that now she will
seem like a very bad person and would suffer the stake..

Veira looked up at the crow as it spoke to her, her eyes glowing
in the moonlight would give off the impression she wasn't
normal. A small chuckle was all she gave before reaching in her
pocket and holding out some crackers. "Sorry it's not
much...I've been walking around idly with no place in
particular. Your the first two I have run into all night." she
added with a small smile. She wasn't phased by the fact the crow
was talking to her. She seen enough odd things as it was.
