Spotlight: SONIC

"A Fast crafty menace to society, bent of the destruction of
anyone who disagrees with him." - Dr.Ivo.Robotnik
(Note the version of Sonic I'm playing is heavily based off the
egotistical jerk with the heart of a hero Sonic from the SATAM
cartoon series mixed with small amounts of game Sonic and the
Archie comics one who happens to be very close to Boom Sonic.)
Description:
Sonic is an anthropomorphic Hedgehog with blue fur and light
white skin. He wears white gloves and sick sneakers that are
light weight and hyper friction resistant they are red with a
white strap and gold buckle. Just over the tops of his red shoes
he wears folded down cuffed ankle socks.He also wears a black
scarf around his neck made of the same material Ninja use in
their suits. This was given to him as a gift from Karahl, it
means a lot to him as he never removes it. Sonic has blue eyes
and wild sharp spines on his back that come off looking like a
type of punk Mohawk. As an addition Sonic is missing a large
part of his left ear due to an encounter with the Assassin
Karahl.
Personality
Sonic is a daredevil who can run at the speed of sound & beyond.
He is a fun and fast guy out on an endless ego trip. Having
saved the world numerous times has left Sonic with an inflated
sense of self. Sonic's typical driving force is his immensely
large ego, he has a bragging nature tending to be a show off as
he enjoys gloating about his accomplishments even going so far
to rub other people's noses in it. Due to his many
accomplishments Sonic has amassed quite the fan base word wide.
He enjoys all the attention he gets tending to live for the
moments he's in the spotlight. At first glance, Sonic is
boisterous, hotheaded and arrogant. He demands recognition and
seems hungry for greatness, illustrated in his tendency to
constantly brag about how great he is.
Ever since stepping into the battle against injustice, Sonic has
been the champion of peace. Well-known for his legendary c,ocky
attitude, easy-going demeanor and short fuse,yet strong sense of
justice and love of freedom. Sonic uses his abilities to protect
his world and it's people from the forces of evil, especially
his arch-enemy Dr.Robotnik who constantly seeks world
domination. Throughout his life, Sonic has exhibited a great
desire for adventure and excitement known to be a constant
thrill-seeker. He genuinely cares for the people and causes he
believes in which often has led him to break the rules in order
to do what he thinks must be done.His greatest flaw in this area
may be that he has developed something of an addiction for
action leading him make rash decisions, often storming into
battle alone and unprepared. Sonic is indeed a great hero but
lately his moral compass has strayed from the straight and
narrow. Sonic lets a lot slide with his friends and teammates
because he chooses to see the good in them more so than the bad,
this is the case with lady friend who is a paid assassin and his
various team members/friends who have no problems committing
murder to get a job done. Sonic has often been questioned why
he's allowed the killers he calls friends to walk free and often
refuses to respond, in truth it's his fierce loyalty to those
who have chosen to fight at his side against injustice, and he'd
sooner commit a crime than see his comrades in a cell.
Most people view him as an egotistical jerk whose major traits
are instinct and impulse. However the hyper hedgehog has a
heart, seeing a lot of himself in a young two tailed fox he took
Tails under his wing like a little brother and will do anything
to protect him. He focuses intensely on challenge and never
gives up as he hates loosing. In dealing with his enemies, Sonic
is usually light-hearted in behavior, often mocking his
opponents with insults and word play,he is a self described
world class wiseguy and trash talker. Given how serious he can
be in some cases, however, it is likely that these jokes are an
attempt to lighten the mood or project an air of confidence. Of
course, it also serves (in most cases) to aggravate his enemies
to the point of distraction. He is a courageous and cunning
hedgehog with an attitude He is also a very capable fighter he
becomes highly selfless and direct in dangerous circumstances.
Sonic is also intelligent with a natural flair for cunning plans
and he prefers to make up these plans as he goes along.
He has a softer side for those he cares for not showing this
side to often the hero is known to be a good person by those
close to him. Deeply devoted to his friends and family, Sonic
enjoys helping them every chance he gets. In particular, he
helps less confident individuals express themselves and be
strong, as he helps and often encourages Sapphire. However, he
also has something of a bullheaded streak which causes him to
think that he is right and everyone else is wrong. This had led
him to clash with other such strong personalities as Knuckles,
Tails, Sally, and even great deities. Sonic has a macho and
carefree appearance that leads him to often dislike other males
who would challenge him. He treasures his titles as greatest
hero and fastest thing alive so much so he tends to dislike any
who possess similar abilities or those he deems a threat to his
positions. Becoming extremely jealous, defensive, and frustrated
whenever someone else rivals his fame. Due to this Alpha dog
style behavior Sonic has few male friends as there are so many
annoying wannabes posers as he would put it.
Used to fighting mostly alone in his youth Sonic has since
inspired his many of his fellow mobians to join his cause. He
leads these like-minded warriors in their heroics as the head of
Team Sonic. His recent battles and long career of heroism
combined have made Sonic a respected leader often looked up to
and admired by his followers. While often taking a majority of
the credit for the team's victories he's always made a note to
acknowledge his teammates accomplishments and improvements.
Sonic's charismatic persona along with his gift of the gab
allows him to motivate the members of Team Sonic with roaring
speeches that vastly boost the morale of Team Sonic as he leads
them onto the battlefield.

Sonic's Shoes
The shoes Spotlight Sonic wears are the Atomic Relativity Boots
These boots appeared in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog TV
series. They were invented by Professor Caninestein for Sonic to
use to travel through time.The boots have small antennae on them
which can be rotated forward and backward. When pointing forward
they will send Sonic into the future and when facing backward
they will send him to the past. To activate the time travel
capabilities, Sonic must wear the boots and run around the
planet at the speed of light, and thus enter the time warp.
(Note These boots appeared in the Adventures of Sonic the
Hedgehog episodes titled, "Blackbot the Pirate" and "Hedgehog of
the "Hound" Table". )

Sonic's Speed.
Sonic has trained his mind and body to move faster his entire
life. After years of practice and harsh training that resulted
in bloody feet and an exhausted mind Sonic had become the
fastest thing alive. His first major feat was breaking the sound
barrier and he's only gotten faster since. Sonic's dedication to
his craft have earned him some amazing abilities revolving
around his super speed. Sonic can vibrate his body so fast he
can pass through solid matter and exist across multiple places
in time and space. This effectively means Sonic can exist in
more than one time or place at a time. This allows the speedster
to create clones of himself that can even exist in the same time
and space Sonic is currently occupying. When he really pushes
himself he can outright destroy physics and gravity. Running at
this crazy level of speed allows Sonic to run through space and
sky as if it were solid ground. This basically let's Sonic use
the solar system as drivers would a freeway. At this point it
seems Sonic's specialty in speed has no limits as he can even
surpass the speed of light moving faster than teleportation
allows when circling the globe at the speed of light he can
travel through time itself. Sonic's mind is also as fast as his
feet allowing him to react to situations and process complicated
plans in an instant. This ensures Sonic's reaction time matches
his movements preventing him from running into walls at high
speeds. Sonic's brain can process information faster than any
super computer's processor can. This allows him an edge in
situations as can react far faster than any organic being in
existence.

History And Background
Early Years
In the early years of his life the world’s greatest hero
required the most saving. Before he was blue with merged spikes
he was brown with separated spines. During the raining season
Green Hill Zone suffered many floods. This caused for many
mobien’s to outright die or abandon their young. It is unknown
what happened to Sonic’s parents but he remembers nothing about
them. As a toddler Sonic was stuck in the mud these floods would
cause struggling and fighting every day to keep his head above
the water. He stayed awake for days on end as his green eyes
would look up to the black heavens praying for blue sky. The
blue sky and the wind was the one thing his little hedgehog
longed for. On the final flood the water was the fiercest and
the tiny hedgehog could no longer keep his head above water. As
he sank he held out his hand only to have another grab his and
save him from a watery grave. That hand belonged to none other
than Dr.Ivo.Robotnik back then he was a good man of science
using his inventions to benefit the planet.
He took the hedgehog back to his lab and cared for him
sheltering him from the floods. Robotnik found the persistence
of the creature fascinating. When he found the brown hedgehog he
was completely naked without even a name to call his own. The
Doctor coined name Maurice as a tribute to a hero from old
overlander fairy tales. Days past and Maurice slowly begun to
explore the lab, on the rare occasions he went to visit the
outside he felt nothing but dread seeing as it was still
flooding. It was on that day young Maurice developed his
interest in running. Robotnik asked the hedgehog what he wanted
to do with all his free time to which he only replied run. He
wanted to be fast enough to run away from the floods and sweep
anybody to safety that came into contact with them. As the
doctor worked on his machines Sonic practiced his running every
day until his feet were blistered and bloody. Soon he became
able to reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour an
extraordinary feat for a mobien let alone a toddler. This
prompted Robotnik to start referring to Maurice as Sonic due to
his impressive running abilities. This was it this name was the
first thing Sonic had earned and he would always treasure this
gift the doctor had given him.
As days went on and the floods ceased it came time for the two
to part. Sonic lived the next few years of his live as an
adventurous drifter helping those he came across. Years later
Sonic met up with Robotnik again and the two became fast
friends. Sonic had gotten even faster and the Doctor helped
Sonic further develop his abilities through training and
practice. One day while using a custom build treadmill Sonic
pushed himself faster than ever before. On that day he broke the
sound barrier and the resulting Sonic Boom turned him from brown
to blue. Now with sleek spines and with fur of boom blue the
hero had gained his iconic image and would only get faster with
more practice. Shortly following this Robotnik's experiment with
the chaos emeralds went wrong,and he became the twisted manic
that is bent on world domination.

Later Adventures
Sonic and Sally were childhood friends who used to play together
in the royal palace during the time of the Great War. When the
war started to go badly for the Mobians, Sonic and Sally were
sent to the sanctuary of Knothole Village with many of the other
children. When Dr. Robotnik eventually took over, the two were
still in the haven of Knothole. As children, both Sonic and
Sally witnessed the formation of the Original Freedom Fighters,
and decided that years later they would follow in their
footsteps.
During their life as Freedom Fighters battling against Robotnik,
Sonic and Sally regularly got on each others nerves, usually due
to the Sonic's ego and attitude and the Sally's impatience with
said qualities. However, over time this was usually used to hide
their growing infatuation with one another. Despite their
disagreements, the two had a strong commitment to the Freedom
Fighters and to one another, and as their commonalities grew, so
their love and respect for one another. Not long after the war
Sally was sent off to a high class prep school and eventually
lost her feelings for Sonic as she became part of high society
and a bit of snob embarrassed to be around Sonic.
Never Again
Super Sonic is a super form of Sonic the Hedgehog. He can assume
this form by absorbing the power of seven Chaos Emeralds.Being
Sonic at his most powerful, Super Sonic has served as Sonic's
trump card once fighting his most powerful adversary perfect
Chaos it managed to turn the tide of events in Sonic's favor.
Sonic has only taken on this form once and refuses to ever take
on the Super transformation ever again. Sonic describes the
transformation as being overwhelmed by negative energy it feels
like being possessed by evil forces. He found when in this form
his personality was completely void he couldn't crack jokes nor
even laugh as this power demands far too much seriousness from
it's wielder. Sonic found that when using the chaos emeralds
like this his free will was completely gone and that scares
him.Being an empty vessel for power is not something the hero
ever wants to feel again.Upon returning to his true self Sonic
made a vow to never use them ever again, When questioned why he
hates it so much he simply answers he wasn't Sonic anymore for
that short time he was yellow. This is why Sonic trusts in his
own abilities he's earned with practice and and skill and will
never for any reason again sacrifice his personal freedoms for
power.
Current Day
Sonic and the Freedom Fighters won the war against Robotnik
years ago. They have reclaimed their city of Mobotropolis.
Mobotropolis is ruled by the Redbella family mainly that of
Princess Constance.Mobotropolis is the capital city of the
planet Mobius. This is a time of peace where Dr.Robotnik is
still around but he is more a Super Villain as opposed to a
Warlord. Sonic keeps the city and his planet safe with the war
over and this taking place during a time of peace Sonic acts as
more of a super hero by saving people and fighting threats and
villains.
Career
While Sonic often saves the world and countless lives it's not a
paying gig and even heroes gotta eat. Due to his many
accomplishments Sonic enjoys status as a celebrity Super Hero.
It was this that gave Sonic his idea to start his own miniature
merchandise and media empire. For better or worse Sonic is
pretty much a sellout appearing in commercials and on TV shows.
While Sonic sometimes hates seeing his face on shirts and caps
he dose have one portion of something based around him that he
takes great pride in his own comic book. Sonic got the idea of
publishing a comic book series based off his adventures. To
accomplish Sonic hired a talented team of artists and writers he
admired comic work of growing up. He then founded Sonic studios
and published his book independently. Sonic works very closely
with the writers in order to keep an authentic feel to his
printed adventures. Sonic won't really tell many people but
starring in his own comic is something he's dreamed of for
years. While the sales of his book and other merchandise are
steady like most celebrities Sonic blows most of his money.
Mainly on chili dogs and new sneakers. Sonic is also an actor
starring in action movies based on his successful comic book
line. Sonic enjoys the fame as it further boosts his ego and
status as a celebrity super hero.
