A massive humanoid black mech marched into the city with
Dr.Robotnik at it's helm. He pointed and his small army of new
gifts from a mysterious benefactor rolled out causing a wave of
destruction. He himself lead the wave of devastation unleashing
a burst of ballistic missiles destroying nearby buildings. He
had a shocked expression on his face. [shadow=red,left]"Odd the
rodent is usually here by now. Bah all the better he won't ruin
my fun."[/shadow] He roared as the mini gun mounted upon his
hand begun to whirl tearing through public property as he opened
fire.

As the Vanguards marched forward, devastation was left in their
wake; with laser precision they took their targets, firing their
cannons and leveling entire buildings in mere moments. A pair
deployed rambolts in their legs, launching an artillery barrage
that bombarded the land just in front of the castle's gates,
maiming any in the immediate area. The local law enforcement
would be suicidal to attempt to fight the mechanical
monstrosities, and any who attempted quickly found themselves
filled with shrapnel.

The muscular hybrid screeches to a halt horrified at the
devastating events. Just like in the forest life around him was
being destroyed by cold merciless machines fueled their
seemingly soulless programming not unlike Mecha Sonic. From what
he can gather it looks like they trying to tear down the Acorn
castle into smithereens. Well not on his watch
Furious he attempts to freeze one of the Vangaurds cannons solid
with his newfound Dry Ice ability hoping to weaken its metallic
structure enough for him to try and shatter the weapon with a
punch If it proves to be successful.
"No more mindless destruction Robotnik!...this has to stop!!" he
called out to his advesary.

Blaze had just arrived not to long after his brother and could
see a group of robots leading a destructive war path to the
gates of Acorn castle. Taking a look at the robots, Blaze could
tell something was off right of the back. These weren't
Robotnik's normal bots. Did he finally decide to upgrade them or
something? It didn't matter, what did matter was that they be
stopped before anymore damage could be done to the city. His
hands engulfed in flames, Blaze unleashed a fire ball big enough
to attack one of the robot's side to try and knock it off
balance if possible.
" Seems Robotnik upgraded his gear..." Blaze muttered to
himself.

With enough rest the cyan hedgehog was ready to get out there,
but he wasn't expecting much destruction though. He blasted off
towards the scene arriving at the castle and there he saw the
two hybrids trying to fight off Robotnik and his..new metallic
army?? He had to get rid of the cannons first so the hedgehog
delivered an attack from above by blasting the cannons in hopes
to destroy them or render it useless. "my my someones having a
BLAST" he said as he tried to take out the cannons. Afterwards
the hedgehog would dive to the ground between the robots and
punch the ground using his flames to make a shockwave that would
knock or stun the robots momentarily.

The Vanguards were just as horrifyingly fearsome as Robotnik had
been assured; as the three unleashed their attacks, they did
little more than stun them for a quick second before they
quickly retaliated.

E[/shadow][shadow=darkred,left]xte[/shadow][shadow=plum,left]rmi[/shadow][shadow=khaki,left]nat[/shadow][shadow=darkred,left]e![/shadow]"
With frightening speed they each divided grouped themselves,
pitting all three of the new defenders against four Vanguards
each, and then assaulted each with military precision.
While Ty had been successful in freezing the cannon of one of
the Vanguards, it still had the rest of its weaponry armed for
bear. Surveying the damage, it stepped back and let the other
three in the group take the front line, deploying its rambolts
and launching an artillery barrage at the hedgewolf. Another
took center point, aiming it's machine gun and firing off a hail
of bullets, the other two in a defensive position; whoever had
made these machines for Robotnik, they were a grade far more
dangerous than what the evil genius typically had.
Blaze did not fair any better; the armor of the robots rendered
the fireball ineffective, and very quickly an artillery barrage
was sent his way. Two of the other Vanguards in the group
quickly made their way around, their speed surprising for their
size, and began blasting their cannons and any cover near him;
they were singling his position out so he could not run from the
barrage.
As with the others, Soul's attack did little but alert the
Vanguards; detecting his descent, they all deployed their
rambolts and waited for the dust to clear before all aiming
straight at him. Perhaps diving right in front of them? In one
second their were four cannon blasts were sent straight for him,
and it was obvious that the three would have to pursue a much
more different offense than what they were doing now.

To say he was disgusted by the result of his attack was an
understatement as the robots turned their attention his way. He
was paired aganist four robots and he had no help seeing as his
brother and Soul had the same situation going on. Well that was
just typical....leave it to someone to come up with more
advanced robots worse than the old fashioned ones. With a sigh,
Blaze quickly drew his sword and started sidestepping the first
wave of bullets. He managed to avoid a few as they whizzed
passed his head and body.
When the others started to surrounded him, he wasted no time
blasting himself skyward before spinning in a drill like motion
as flames engulfed the hunter. Sword pointed directly downward,
Blaze intended to cut the robot straight down the middle.

So far he has managed to snag one of their cannons in ice. Now
all he has to do is destroy it and hopefully everything else may
be less of a problem for him to handle. Unfortunately his
prayers weren't answered; the Vanguard battle droid was a lot
more intelligent showcasing it was smart enough to retreat
behind three of its defending forces firing the rest of its
weapons via artillary barrage.
Only one of them stepped up to the center preparing to use its
machine guns to make the super soldier into swish cheese. The
other two seemed to be in standby defense mode who's only job is
to prevent Ty from reaching the partially frozen robot.
"Tch..!!" In a Fight or Flight response fueled up by adrenaline
he utilizes his ice powers to skate along the ground in a zig
zag formation desperately avoiding getting shot while
occasionally watching the barrage of bombarding shells heading
his way.
In the mist of all this chaos he has discovered a possible
opening and has already begun formulating a strategy.
[Getting close to the one I just froze isn't an option while
those two robots are safe guarding it; however because they are
in standby mode at least I don't have to worry about them
attacking me for now. Looks like brute force wont be enough to
eliminate them; but perhaps I can use their own firepower to my
advantage which may be the key to beating them.
I can lure the one in the back to fire those projectiles into
attacking the one with the machine gun and if I'm fast enough
with the correct timing; theoretically I can also lure it into
destroying the other two robots in defense mode.] With his plan
set in motion he quickly makes his way towards the robot with
the LMG while still swerving around to avoid the bullets.
He attempts to use it as a stepping stool by freezing it in
place with dry ice. Following this he performs a huge leap upon
the top of its upper body trying to wait for the shells to head
straight for him and with precised timing he leaps off the
mechanical menace hoping that some of the barrage would destroy
it instead of going after him.
Keeping an eye for the one in the back to continue shooting at
him he would attempts the same tactic with the other two robots
essentially repeating the same action he did with the first one.
Using both of them as stepping stones while waiting for the bomb
shell assault to destroy them due to the execution of his
jumping.
If all of this were to go well and prove to be successful then
three out of four Vanguards would have been wiped out and he
would only have to deal with the one with the frozen cannon.

"Tsk! seems like that trick didn't cut it..." the hedgehog
muttered as he kept diving towards the enemy. The hedgehog was
shocked and performed a barrel roll dodging the first wave of
attacks as much as possible but in that instant he saw the
incoming blasts heading straight toward him. The hedgehog
blasted in the opposite direction tossing himself out of the
blasts trajectory before it could it him. He performed a
landing however it wasn't a very good one though, "Argh!" he
tossed himself back up with a few bruises on his face from the
landing. The hedgehogs unleashed his "burst mode" when 4 more
vanguards came into the scene surrounding him, the hedgehog spun
around creating a vortex out of his flames using it as a decoy,
before slamming the ground to deliver his shockwave. The impact
of the waves are coated with the hedgehog's flames anything that
it touches would be either knocked away or burned by it.

The intense fighting and artillery barrages meant that Anton
stopped his advance earlier and started to use a drain pipe to
get to the rooftop, he needed a birds-eye view of this.
To say it could be going better was an understatement, they were
pummeled by some tech he hadn't seen before and then there was
Robotnik... off to a flying start, aren't we?
That aside he needed to start shooting, however, he didn't know
if the others had radio or their frequency so he had to judge on
his own.
A quick scan later he determined to help the fire bender, loaded
up a clip of AP .308 rounds and took aim.
The shot he fired was for the center mass of the robots, he
needed to determine the armor thickness. He did notice how he
had an easier time calculating bullet drop and deviation, not by
much, but there was a change.
