Re: (Act 1) A New Piece on the Board
By: Blaze the hedgewolf Date: November 8, 2015, 7:27 pm

Blaze watched as the guards ready themselves. He didn't move and
stood his ground as he was addressed. So they were right, this
was the Harbringer. Which means they can do what they originally
plan to do when they first learned of the Dominion. Blaze gave a
small nod before beginning his statement. " I am Blaze the
hedgewolf and this is my partner Veira." he began while Veira
gave a small bow to signify she was not hostile.
" We heard of your name because of some recent events that
happened a few days ago. We ran into a lynx by the name of Ajax
and show us an abandon base....it was a base he was sent to
while he was young. The things that happened there...we saw all
of it." Blaze stated before Veira joined in.
" We ran into one more person at that base....he went by the
name of Hoffman. He has something he believes the dominion will
find useful..." she finished.

He stays silent choosing not to politely introduce himself. No
reason for him to speak since Blaze already has everything
covered. He did however gaze at Armond directly in the eye. The
presence of the cyborg made him wary. That seemingly permanent
scowl was locked on to him..watching him like a hawk.

"Harbinger, Dominion...what was going on here?" Anton thought to
himself as he saw the others start to interact with the convoy.
Uncertain of what to do without being perceived as hostile , he
went for someone he knew.
"Pardon me for asking, but who are these guys?" he whispered to
Ty as he came up on the hedgewolf's right.

[sub]"I don't have all the details..but they are supposed to be
a military faction operating in multiple cities across the globe
led by the Harbingers...why are they here..I don't know
yet.."[/sub] he whispered back in response to Anton but never
once took his eyes of the Cyborg Wolf remaining on guard.

Re: (Act 1) A New Piece on the Board
By: Hackel Date: November 9, 2015, 7:30 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"So, this is where Ajax has been as of recent; I had been
wondering why he had not been around." Hearing the mention of
Ajax made everyone in the group relax a noticeable amount; it
was clear that they knew who he was, and that alignment with him
was something the sided with. Still, Hackel quickly went quiet
at the mention of the lynx's youth. "I assume you are referring
to... Blackwind... A horrible development, that one was. I'm
surprised he showed you the facility; boy lost almost everything
there, aside from his own life." The Harbinger shook his head
and crossed his arms; stirring up ghosts of the past was clearly
not something he wanted to do. Although it seemed it would be
possible to get answers from him, careful choices of wording
would be advisable. "I typically would prefer to leave all of
that business dead and buried; too many lives lost, too much
blood spilled. The team that ran the facility were executed for
a reason... If this 'Hoffman' is speaking of the research there,
the council would most likely not take kindly to it."
Meanwhile, Armond took quick note of Anton's approach as well.
While he seemed somewhat at ease while at Hackel's side, he was
never relaxed, on constant watch. His respirator made his
breathing obvious, and his size made him look like he could tear
a man in half; he probably could, actually.
"[shadow=seagreen, left]Harbinger; it is singular, hybrid. Hackel
is the sole Harbinger of the Dominion; all other officials are
members of the Serral Council.[/shadow]" "Calm down, Armond;
they do not know that. Although, 'military faction' is a
somewhat undesirable description. A label like confederacy would
be more appealing, no? Our military is out of necessity; nothing
more."

Anton nodded to Ty in acknowledgement of his answer, then he
turned his attention to what Harkel was saying.
He wasn't sure really certain what Ajax had shown them, but it
sounded serious if what Harkel said was anything to go by.
"So, what does bring you here then?" he asked as he had to get
that cleared first and foremost.

Re: (Act 1) A New Piece on the Board
By: Veira Date: November 9, 2015, 1:10 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Veira and Blaze looked at one another. It seemed Hoffman was
right about the Harbringer being cautious and not wanting to
bring up the past. Veira wondered if they should press the
matter any further. It was a risky gamble but she figured they
would have no choice in the matter if he would take their word
or not.
" Well we've seen what those experiments did to those that did
not make it. Hoffman is one such being that still dwells within
those walls but due to certain conditions....he cannot bring
himself to venture out into the world. We would have handed it
to you personally but....he feared you would be wary of the
idea." Veira stated as she lowered her head slightly.
" There was also a mention of someone referred to as "
Mistress". But Hoffman was a bit vague on her description. Maybe
you can tell us the other half of the story?" Blaze asked.

Guntram, James, Sabine and Maria was sitting a bit further the
road. They had made it to the point that they were allowed into
the gunship type they were converting to, however, they were
still in the process of clocking the required flight hours to
formally be allowed into actual combat with it. Although that
was mainly for symbolic value, for all Zoya team knew they might
as well be ready and now in the process of earning some extra
experience.
"It would appear the city is having some high level visitors
today," James suddenly added as he looked up and saw the convoy
coming their way, "do you think it is that dominion fella
Hoffman talked about?"
The other three followed the husky's eyes and saw the convoy as
well, it could certainly be all things considered.
"That could be the case," Maria agreed and stood up, "should we
go over and see what's up?"
While there was some uncertainty as to the reception of them due
to their affiliation, the presence of mobians they knew was what
made them agree on doing it. At least there would be some that
could confirm that they weren't here to ruin everything.

Re: (Act 1) A New Piece on the Board
By: Hackel Date: November 11, 2015, 4:17 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"There is a survivor we did not find?" This development was
quite the surprise to the hedgehog. "I had every corner of that
facility scoured..." The soldiers now looked among each other,
worried by their Harbinger's thoughts. "Well... Normally I would
not bring up the events... But thanks to Ajax and this
'Hoffman', you have questions only I can really answer." Hackel
stood himself up, looking at Veira with a sort of fire in his
eyes; not one of anger, but one that desired justice. "The
Blackwind Facility was a research compound, this you already
know. They kidnapped civilians to use for their experiments, run
by a sort of private army. At the time, we had been searching
for the compound for months, since they had begun helping some
of the bandit clans in exchange for hostages and certain
materials. The 'Mistress' spoken of was never given a name, and
all the transmissions we could trace were either scrambled, or
branched to uninhabitable regions of the planet; it was done
intentionally so we could no track her. The only thing we had as
evidence was that alias, and the insignia branded on the
compound walls, and neither turned up anything."
At this point, Armond stepped forward a foot or two,
interjecting as he placed his hand on Hackel's shoulder.
"[shadow=seagreen, left]Ajax was the only person who survived
after being rescued; the others either died in the facility, or
in the hospital shortly after their retrieval. It was believed
that he was their primary project, but our medical records
showed no sign of genetic alteration or physical manipulation.
They were looking to use some sort of trait that he was already
in possession of; what is was, we do not know. However, the
prototyping of a mind-control device suggested that it was
fearsome.[/shadow]" The cyborg, surprisingly, seemed almost
relieved to be giving this information to the group; you could
see the passion in his eyes, the desire to see them succeed in
the investigation where they had failed. He obviously seemed as
though the events had disturbed him, and that he had come to
look towards Ajax as a close friend. "[shadow=seagreen, left]The
databases for the facility had been locked down to prevent us
from accessing them, or at least that were not destroyed by the
breach. However, one of the squadron leaders reported an odd
finding; prototype Dominion chaos drives, which had strictly
been developed for powering war machines and weapons by
producing energy similar to that of the chaos emeralds. Having
something of this value and importance meant that whoever had
been in charge had to have acquired them without bloodshed or
typical thievery to avoid notice, and the few data files the
squad retrieved suggested they planned to use them on him
somehow.[/shadow]"

Re: (Act 1) A New Piece on the Board
By: Guntram Messerschmitt Date: November 11, 2015, 8:50 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"So whatever these people were after, it ties in with Ajax and
what Hoffman showed us," Guntram said as he tried to summarize
it, "it also involved some of your faction's prototype tech and
records indicate they were going to use it on him."
He took a slight step back out of respect when Maria took one
forward.
"Ajax told us you would show up for diplomatic reason," she told
him, " mind if i what they are?"
Behind her James leaned close to Guntram with a worried look.
"Don't tell me you forgot what happened in that compound," he
whispered somewhat pleadingly, "this is pretty fu*king
important."
"Of course i haven't," the penguin objected as he seemed to try
and remember, "...what happened in the compound again?"
James just sighed and facepalmed, causing Guntram to hang his
head in shame.
Behind them, out of immediate sight, Sabine leaned against the
wall and just stared at the group, this was just unbelievable.
