(Act 1) A New Piece on the Board

The streets were quiet, a surprising silence overcoming them as
onlookers watched a group walking through them, an escort
carrying military-grade equipment; most notable were the
hedgehog in a sort of ceremonial of outfit, brass chains lining
his chest and red silk draped across his shoulders, and the
oddest of the escorting party of all, a towering cyborg that
once resembled a wolf, a massive warhammer against his back and
and his entire lower body replaced by a sort of spider walker.
[shadow=seagreen,left]Do you really think this excursion will
be worth the time, Harbinger?..[/shadow] the cyborg questioned
the hedgehog, his voice robotic in a fashion that matched his
countless implants and replaced limbs. Of course, he responded
with a much more natural voice, his mouth hidden behind a metal
guard and regulator bolted to his jaw, Even if no ground is
made, we must make our presence and good intent known if we wish
to garner support. The cyborg simply nodded;
[shadow=seagreen,left]Yes, Harbinger...[/shadow] They
continued onward, their movement directed towards the castle
grounds.

On top of a nearby rooftop stood two figures. Both were cloaks
as they watched the citizens below. The first figure took a step
towards the edge overlooking the strange group that had just
arrived in mobotropolis. It seemed like this whole week has been
full of surprises lately. " So....how do you feel?" the figure
behind his partner asked.
She turned to look at him for a moment before returning her gaze
down below. " A lot better now that i have some food in my
stomach and some decent clothes for a change. Everything seems
so different now....with all that's happened lately i'm not sure
i'm up for this." she responded as she removed her hood. It was
Veira under the cloak after just receiving her body, she decided
to test her limits.
The second figure gave a nod as he walked over to her before
removing his hood. " It's only natural Veira. So who do you
think those guys are? They look like specail forces....including
that guy." Blaze stated as he pointed to the cyborg wolf. Veira
nodded as well.
" I say we follow them and see whats up." Veira suggested. " Heh
thought you said you weren't up for anything yet." he replied
with a smirk. She returned the smirk before putting the hood
back on. " Like you said....things change." Veira replied before
going after the group. Blaze watched her for a moment before
following after her.

Looking downward from a distant clock tower, Riot, a Super
Combat Variant, scans the masses for any sign of ironic
activity. His eyes fell upon a wolf life cyborg, showing little
concern for the religious hedgehog in a ceremonial outfit, but
aware none the less.
Scanning the cyborg enemy, he deemed him as "highly skilled."
Wanting to just observe for the time being, Riot began to
steadily
follow, only to stop and access the possibilities of failure.
"They might be dangerous, but my mission is to gather
information on what they're carrying." Riot confirmed to
himself, wanting to gather information on the military grade
equipment. "I'll keep at bay, I have a feeling I'm not the only
one who's after these two ominous characters, Riot assured
himself, pulling his visor over his eyes.

Anton was sitting up against the wall, relaxing in the sun. This
whole week had been taxing on him and now, now he could finally
relax a bit.
He had gotten slightly more used to his new abilities following
the battle with Mecha Sonic, in the end, it could help him a
lot.
That was when he noticed a military equipped convoy coming his
way, he didn't recognize them in anyway, but he was curious and
got up.
He started to follow them, at a respectable distance so he
didn't appear hostile.

The attention hadn't gone unnoticed. As the group moved forward,
a pair of the escorting soldiers in the rear of the pack had
noticed Blaze and Veira's movement up above, although they had
not seen who it was. "Possible contact, high ground. What do you
think?" "Probably just a few reckless kids; think about it, we
stick out like sore thumbs." "With the equipment we've got? I'd
almost be offended if we didn't." It was clear that the hedgehog
being escorted was of great importance, although the reason as
to why was unknown. This kind of convoy didn't just 'appear' out
of thin air, and considering the chatter between some of the
soldiers, they were not from the area. The cyborg, however, was
more than wary; "[shadow=seagreen,left]We are being followed...
Do you think we will be facing resistance?..[/shadow]"
The hedgehog stopped for a moment, and with him his entire
escort, as he turned to the cyborg at his side and looked up to
him. "Armond, these people are unfamiliar with us. We are new;
we are different. It is natural that some of them may be wary of
our presence. That is why you are here with me, old friend." He
glanced to the sides, taking a deep breath. "Hearts and minds
win wars like these," he murmured before starting off again, the
escort shortly after.

Blending within the crowd of citizens was the blue streak hybrid
minding his own business. After some R and R time he is back
within a state of healthy conditions he couldn't shake away the
feeling something was..off.
He examines his right hand studying his palm..nothing out of the
ordinary. But for some strange reason his body gives off a
noticeably colder aura than his usual brand of cool temperature.
Could it be he was just imagining things? he clenches his fist
narrowing his eyes before continues walking.
"Hm?" sounds of wiring and mechanical stomping notices could be
heard not too far from his location. An escorting military group
looks to be heading towards the Acorn castle discussing plans of
excursion and getting the public's attention in a positive way.
This certainly peaked his interest. Quickly he scampered off to
move closer then hid himself in an alleyway to avoid detection
out in the open.
[font=verdana][Harbinger?..this must be what that lynx was
talking about..that guy in the middle looks to be
important..could it be Hackel?][/font] he follows them remaining
out of sight for now. It appears the escort team became aware of
them being followed as one of the soldiers spotted someone from
the rooftops. Did they get caught already?

It seemed the two hunters were already discovered y the strange
military force below. Well given their position, they weren't
hard to miss. One thing did stand out to them though. The cyborg
wolf had addressed the hedgehog as Harbringer. That was the name
Hoffman told the group when they reached that abandon facility a
few days ago. Perhaps this hedgehog was Hackel. He needed to be
told the findings the group found out. Without wasting any time
Blaze and Veira both leaped off the rooftop and landed before
the armed forces.
They both stood there before Blaze raised a hand. " Excuse me
sir...you wouldn't mind if i asked you something would you?" he
asked the orange hedgehog while looking at the cyborg for a
moment. " Are you....Hackel the Harbringer?" he asked.

If its indeed Hackel..he intends to deliver him some news of
what he had discovered even if there where bodyguards
present..its nothing he cant handle. Still he must be cautious
nonetheless. However his brother and a female woman wearing a
similar attire made his presence known directly in front of the
group. Who the heck was she and what is her connection to Blaze?
Just in case he also approaches the military soldiers standing
beside the pair serving as back up assistance to his sibling
should something goes wrong. He remains quiet to let Blaze do
the talking for now.

Learning from the commotion below, Riot etched the said word
Harbinger into his mind. Noticing that the Wolf Cyborg, and
the Harbinger, were gaining notice, he flicked his visor above
his eyes. "These ominous strangers have escorts?" "Perhaps this
is an exchange of weaponized goods?" Riot thought to himself,
noticing the Cyborg Wolf, and the so called Harbinger, now
recognized as Hackel had escorts with them. "The Military seems
to be assisting Hackel and his faction to the Castle of Acorn."
Riot sat down, still atop the clock tower in Mobotropolis,
deeming it too early to intervene given the current situation,
pondering the name of the Wolf Cyborg, seen with Hackel and the
Military.

As Blaze and Veira landed in front of the group, the stances of
the soldiers quickly changed and their rifles were aimed
directly at the two for a short moment before lowering.
"Civilian contact. 2 count; neutral." "3 count," another guard
added, "third contact approaching behind them." The group did
not seem openly hostile to the three, but rather wary of their
unfamiliar surroundings. This was clearly unfamiliar territory
for them.
However, when spoken to, the hedgehog being escorted stepped
forward, a curious look in his eyes. "You know my name... That
is quite a surprise, considering the scenario... I am indeed
Hackel Warfield, Harbinger of the Dominion. If I may, I am
curious as to how you know who I am; would you be willing to
divulge?" Upon closer inspection, it was clear that he also was
not pure flesh and blood; his left arm and leg had been
completely replaced by mechanical limbs. The cyborg behind him
stood close behind, never letting more than a few inches
separate them; he was a much more ominous figure, as his glare
weighed upon the three before them, and it was almost
questionable if he was even mobian anymore. The insignia they
wore, however, was clearly not one from any nearby area, a black
shape resembling a tower shield with a red star in the upper
portion and three white chevrons in the lower; the color of the
armor worn by the cyborg and escorting soldiers matched it,
predominantly black with red and white embellishments. If this
wasn't evidence enough of their relation to an outlying faction,
then very little else could compare.
