Evil Never Dies!

Dr.Robotnik sat within the dark bowls of another of his many
metal lairs. This one was far from the city off in the
mountains. The entrance was just a large metal door placed into
a cave's entrance. He looked over his many monitors that were
being fed visual feeds from his spy bots. He was wondering who
this black hedgehog and over overlander were. He was busy
welding what was left of Metal Sonic back Together. He begun
soldering the wires together and then turned his creation on as
it's red eyes flashed on. He spun around on his chair wondering
on his next move with all these new players entering the game.

[shadow=green,left]"Transmission secure. Patching through."
"Let's hope this is worth it." "It will be..."[/shadow] That's
when the monitors began acting up. At first they gave off
static, but soon all of them showed the black silhouette of a
single mobian, piercing white eyes trained on Robotnik from
every screen. "[shadow=green,left]Hello, Doctor Robotnik... We
trust you are in good health?..[/shadow]" Chuckles could be
heard before being shushed quickly. "[shadow=green,left]We would
speak to you...[/shadow]" Any attempt to end the transmission
would fail promptly, and the signal could not be traced; whoever
they were, their hacking was precise and efficient.

[shadow=red,left]"Identify yourself NOW!" [/shadow]Dr.Robotnik
screamed demanding answers. [shadow=red,left]"You have five
moments to comply before I track your signal and send a SWATbot
unit to destroy you."[/shadow] He tapped his fingers on the
console his red eyes blaring against the reflective screen.

"[shadow=green,left]I am Vėlė... I speak for the
Mistress,[/shadow]" the figure answered, unphased by the
doctor's threats. "[shadow=green,left]As of late, she has taken
great interest in your... endeavors.[/shadow]" Footage of his
capture and holding of Sally appeared on the central screen.
"[shadow=green,left]Your development of mind-control technology
has captured her attention... She wishes to extend a hand in
hopes of a... partnership.[/shadow]" The video feed of the
footage was cut and returned to the silhouette.
"[shadow=green,left]And it should be noted... That the Mistress
is quite generous towards her associates...[/shadow]"
Some of the screens then cut back to their original feeds,
revealing what looked like metal crates at some of the doors.
"[shadow=green,left]A small group of our Vanguards have been
assigned to you as a token of friendship... We believe they will
suit you well, doctor.[/shadow]"

"So you're interested in my technology? You do realize mind
control chips are extremely advanced technology? What can these
Vanguards offer me that is as enticing as controlling people at
will?" He inquired as he stroked his mustache.
[shadow=red,left]"Tell me. Can these so called Vanguards capture
a certain blue hedgehog? Show me that and we have a deal. I'll
provide you with the chips no questions asked." [/shadow]

Vėlė smiled behind the darkness; oh, what a deal that
was being made. "[shadow=green,left]We assume you mean the
famous... 'Sonic'...[/shadow]" The schematics for the Vanguard
appeared on screen, as well as footage documenting their testing
as war machines built for pro-longed front-line combat.
Specialized chain guns, electrified armor, advanced targeting
systems, jet propulsion, even a pair of artillery cannons
capable of leveling a city block in a single barrage; how they
all managed to fit together was mind boggling.
"[shadow=green,left]You have my guarantee... That he will be no
match for them...[/shadow]" The crates at the doors unfolded,
revealing the walkers in their full glory, even bearing
Robotnik's emblem. "[shadow=green,left]Simply tell them where to
go... And they will do the rest...[/shadow]"

[shadow=red,left]"Excellent. But first I insist on a trial.
Trusting your faith in these machines is not misplaced I'll
gladly share my technology with you. Let us not waste anytime.
Every moment that hedgehog breaths is an insult to my great
empire. Send a transmission when you've captured or killed that
foul creature. Robotnik out."[/shadow] He ended the transmission
and looked out over his own robotic army drooling at the very
thought of a dead Sonic.
