Apotheosis
DIR By: Ajax
Date: October 28, 2015, 4:48 am

The wind blew quietly through the forests north of Mobotropolis
as Ajax continued his march forward. His mind raced as he
thought about what he was doing; the entirety of his past was
generally kept secret for a reason. But, how could change happen
if truths were not known? They wanted to know... So he would
show them.
"Here," he stated calmly as he stopped dead in his tracks for a
moment. He knelt down, looking at the clearing before him as he
moved a small rock. The ground shook, and the land itself split
apart to give way to the long abandoned stairway of what once
was his prison. Dust covered the lights as they flickered, the
age of the facility apparent. The doors broke open, and the
smell of ancient death escaped its confines before fading away
harmlessly. "We start here."

Veira followed Ajax for some time now into the forest away from
civilization on prying eyes. Whatever he had to show them must
of been extremely serious to go to such great lengths. Looking
ahead, she noticed they stopped in a clearing of some sort
before Ajax had moved a rock. Before she could ask what was he
doing, the ground before them split open and showed a staircase
into a tunnel of some sort.
" How long has this been here....judging by the smell it must
have been some years." Veira stated as she covered her nose with
her scarf.

"Never knew this spot existed...I guess you learn something new
everyday...lets go inside.." he can be seen standing beside
Veira. His sensitive nose reacted to the smell..the strong
stench was so unbearable..it stings. Yep it was definitely
ancient alright. However he chose to ignore it figuring that
was the least of his problems.

"For many years, this place was my prison. I was little more
than a pawn..." Slowly the lynx lead on, the halogen lights
lining the walls lighting up row by row, the halls an untouched
relic of the chaos that had ended its use. "I lost a lot of
myself in these walls..."
For a moment, the corridors might have seemed like nothing more
than a looping maze, but the doors soon were apparent, locked
down all those years ago. Finally Ajax stopped before one of
them, dusting off the sign that read 'Subject Holding'. He
directed the brothers along, their first destination in the
facility clear as he pointed out a specific cell; the bars were
bent and dried blood still coated the floor. "This cell was mine
at one point."

A short distance away a certain robotic dolphin (whose exterior
plating was still missing large chunks) had been following them.
She felt driven to know about this other productive method
showing them about what was on his mind; so she had been
evesdropping.
The robot wasn't exactly stealthy either. For starters low
humming and whirring can be softly heard and the dim glow of one
orange and teo green lights could be seen as she peered around a
corner to watch.

Zoya team had kept their distance, but now they had closed the
gap and were coming up behind the three mobians.
They didn't announce their presence, mainly due to not felling
able to do it right. Instead they just stood half a meter behind
them, keeping some distance so it wasn't alarming.
"Imprisonment, by who?" Zoya 3 eventually asked as they walked
up close to them and looked down the hole, "must have been
pretty bad, huh?"

Veira looked around as clearly there was much to tell about this
place. It certainly looked like it seen better days. Just what
type of experiments were being tested here? It made the young
hunter think for a bit before Ajax showed them his cell. Now she
could see why he was troubled before. Any place this well hidden
must come with a lot of dark history. Veira turned her head a
bit as the humming sound got closer. Seems someone couldn't help
but be curious as well as the gun pilots fro before made
themselves known.
" Everyone has a dark story.....what's yours?" she asked Ajax as
she looked at the cell as if picturing Ajax inside of it.

He was silent..but overwhelmed with shock. he never saw any of
this coming...this stranger was a military subject experiment
just like him. But it appears he may have far worse than he
did..was he unstable? His suspicions were semi-confirmed
discovering his cell's floor tainted with dried old blood and
the bars were rusted indicating he has a degree of super
strength.
"I take it there was some form of a struggle.." was all he said
making note of the blood on the floor.

Ajax nodded gently. "I would give them hell whenever possible. A
was only a child, but this was all I knew. They thought I was
something more than mobian." The lynx's ear twitched, and a sigh
escaped his mouth. "I lost everything here... They took my
family and incinerated them; they were liabilities, I kept
hearing them say. They wanted their 'archon'..." Tears could be
heard splattering against the ground as he closed his eyes. "I
never got to say goodbye."

Following them down they saw what had unfolded in the area,
somewhat stunned by what had happened.
"To think someone... could be capable of... such horrors," Zoya
4 sighed in shock as he looked over it all, "I... i don't
believe it."
Zoya 3 patted him on the back to get his attention.
"Don't act like it is so surprising," he told him as he looked
at some of the blood, "the G.U.N engage in similar things and
don't you try to deny it."
Zoya 4 took a few steps back in horror and shook his head.
"You- you're joking right?" he asked, hoping it was just some
sort of cruel joke, "because if you are then this isn't funny,
this is some sick ****!"
The yelling caused Zoya 1 and 2 to look back at the two gunners.
"I'll handle those two, you go on ahead," Zoya 2 assured Guntram
and went back to the two, placing a hand on Zoya 4's shoulder,
"Zoya 3 has nothing but rumors among the crews to substantiate
his claims, for all we know it could be lies meant to split our
organisation apart."
This seemed to calm the distressed gunner down, although Zoya 3
didn't seem to acknowledge what the co-pilot had been saying.
Meanwhile, Guntram had gotten over to the others and was now
kneeling next to Ajax.
"I can understand why you retaliated against them, sick
bastards," he said as he placed a hand on the lynx' shoulder, "i
most certainly understand why you would drink to forget... but,
maybe there is a way to say goodbye to them... do you know what
happened to the ashes?"
