Mallow the Rabbit

Description
Mallow is an albino rabbit with a pastel lavender color on the
flesh parts on his palms, feet, and long ears. The most striking
part of his appearance are his red eyes and his sclera are pink.
Another interesting feature are his front teeth, which due to an
accident at a young age were filed down so they are not enlarged
like the rest of his rabbit kin. Mallow is tall (taller than
Sonic by a good 25 centimeters), leaner, and a great deal more
flexible than the average percentage of his species; this gives
him a suitable body he needs to perform intense motions as a
ballerina.
He wears a lot of clothing of formfitting and stretchable
material for the amount of movement and flexibility that he does
on a regular basis in his dancing career. His most used outfit
is a brown jacket over a purple shirt, and long, formfitting
black pants. With a pair of modified black dance shoes with
steel tips.
Personality
Having lost so much in his life, Mallow is left scarred and more
or less pieced back together. Mallow has made it a habit to
envision that all the world is a stage and therefore he will
treat life as such. When he is on stage, he becomes a crowd
pleaser, with a witty, and snarky vocabulary and a passionate
flare for drama, he greets the world with a loud smile and
dedicates himself to giving them a show they will never forget.
Mallow uses this stage face in order to assure his audience
that everything is fine, and also to cover the scars of his
broken past, this hinders him from fully opening up to others as
freely as he would like.
The stage face has caused him to develop certain traits to his
personality, like his eccentricity and outgoing nature, Mallow
also seems to be able to draw people to him, leading to fast
friendships, despite being so closed up about himself. He also
has a very high opinion of his appearance, he is a pretty boy
and he knows it; this is shown mostly in how he takes care of
his physique and in his clothes which usually are meant only for
obscene dance numbers, he will flaunt in a walk down the street.
Another one of his more outgoing traits is his never ending
curiosity. Whenever he becomes bored, he instantly seeks thrills
and things to explore, whether they are interesting or not. This
awakens a rather mischievous side of his personality, which is
known for leaping into situations that most people would think
twice about. On the moments when Mallow is showing his true
colors, he's a bit more introverted in the sense that he needs
to recharge with some good old fashioned alone time.
All together, He is a flamboyant and eccentric rabbit, with a
heart of gold. He is also a very capable fighter despite him
being a bunny; however, he delightfully uses this stereotype to
deceive his opponent and strikes without hesitation once his
enemy's guard his down. In extreme hostile situations, Mallow
sometimes has a hard time playing his cool, he doesn't like
being on the wrong side of authority, granted if the authority
figure is supposed to be good; however, as a freedom fighter, he
chooses to fight for what's right and just, no matter how scary
it becomes.
Powers and Abilities
Despite the fact that Mallow is a rabbit (Which some people
consider is one of the weakest of races), his has insane
strength in his legs that gives him a 'leg up' on other mobian's
physical abilities. The rest of his body is shown to be just as
strong and durable, including his arms, which enables him to use
an array of handstands, for his fighting style, which makes him
much more versatile in certain combat situations.
Jump One of Mallow's best agility skills is his jump. Being a
rabbit his bone and muscle structure allows him to perform
powerful jumps, sending him high into the air. The speed at
which he leaves the ground and has air control from the momentum
works wonders. In a word, he doesn't climb flights of stairs,
one step at a time, he jumps ten at a time.
Glide - Mallow is able to maintain a few seconds of air with his
ears in a jump. A bit like wings on a plane, he can use them to
steer which direction gravity will take him. His body, however,
is not light enough to allow him to fly through the air if he
flapped his ears.
Hop Walk - Mallow can use the power in his legs to skip great
distances. He basically is leaping forward a distance and
repeats, making his body travel long distances without touching
the ground that much. This maneuver uses about half of energy it
would take to run the distance. His top speed he can get to
fluxes around 80 mph (under the speed of an adult cheetah).
Acrobatics After leaving his home, Mallow joined a traveling
circus and used his ballet skills to perform on the t****eze and
the tightrope. Increasing his balance and agility. He knows how
to land without causing much if any injury to himself, even from
a great distance. He is also really flexible, able to do the
splits (sitting, standing, in the air), as well as other
acrobatic tricks. Being flexible helps him dodge attacks more
easily, and gives .
Kick - Ever since Mallow was young, he dreamed of being a
freedom fighter like his brother Warren, back then his only
strengths were his agility and the strength in his legs. He
sought training from the least likely of masters and that was
his foster mother, Sylvie, a ballet instructor. The instructor
turned his soft lucky rabbit feet into diamond hard instruments
of destruction. Because of the tough training, Mallow now has a
super high pain tolerance and durability. And his kicks can now
break through steel swat-bots, as well as break someone's spine.
As the years rolled by, Mallow had developed his own style of
fighting, learning the vital points and areas of the body wear a
kick could do the most damage.
Foot Stamp This is usually done when Mallow is coming down. He
plants his footing on an object (someone's head, back, rock
etc.) and then pushes himself off. Usually the force used in
this action is great and can cause damage to the place he had
been standing.
Round House Kick Like Chuck Norris with the speed of Bruce
Lee, Mallow's round house kick will send you across the room and
whimpering on the floor. Mallow spins his body around at a quick
speed, and uses the weight of his body into one well placed
swing of the leg. This kick is usually done on a single
opponent.
Super senses Because he is a rabbit, Mallow has an excellent
sense of vision, smell, and hearing. His eye-sight is perfect
and helps him see through illusions/mirages.
His sense of smell is also very accurate and he can usually
detect and discern different and sometimes complex scents.
Of all his senses, his hearing is the best, his hearing range
stretches from 360-42,000 hertz, which is twice stronger than
the average human.
Separate, each of his senses can help him achieve great things,
but combined he is able to detect danger from all directions,
and makes it bloody hard for anyone to sneak up on him.
Sand Goggles - Mallow acquired this item in his hometown Sand
Blast City. When worn, they block out bright lights and keep
tiny particles from entering his eyes. Over all they help
protect his vision, but at the same time, they do not allow him
to maintain his peripheral vision.
Steel-toed shoes These shoes help reduce the damage he endures
during a powerful kick, and can help break stronger minerals
(such as metals), apart from regular shoes. They have been
modified several times and now allow him to be flexible with
them as well as strong. Their weight has not changed though, but
they are more comfortable for travel and combat.
Dancing Both a passion and a profession. Mallow's skill of
dancing is on professional level. He had been trained at a young
age in the art of ballet, and over the years has adapted to
other styles and forms of dance. Whenever he busts a move, it's
hard not to stop and stare in awe.
Survival Instincts Having grown up in the desert, Mallow
learned with the rest of his siblings the importance of using
one's surroundings to their fullest advantage. He has a vast
knowledge and skill of gathering food and water in even the most
bleakest of wildernesses, as well as methods to disappear in
said wildernesses.
Weaknesses
Physical
Since his fighting style is physical, he's more likely to
sustain damage, and quite a few of his attacks will actually
cause damage to himself, despite the high tolerance of pain and
durability. Mallow's legs are so strong that if he kicks in the
air and there is nothing to give support then he can actually
damage his spine.
Another of Mallow's weaknesses also come from another of his
strengths. Because of the incredible rating of his senses, they
can also be used against him considering how sensitive they are.
Loud noises are particularly harmful to him, if the volume is
too loud he gets dizzy and loses his coordination along, and his
kicks aren't as productive. Noise of extreme volume could cause
him to go deft.
Mental/Emotional
His past, like most Mobians, has been scarred by the terrors of
Robotnik. His struggles in his life, though made him strong,
have caused a sense of distrust towards everyone. His former
friend and his foster mother both betrayed his trust, this
causes him to keep people at arms length, despite his friendly
and outgoing personality.
Career
While Mallow often uses his time helping save people as a
Freedom Fighter, there is no official salary for him. Due to his
skill in the art of dance and past experience with circus
preforming, Mallow has been able to land certain jobs that would
allow him to use his skills for an audience and reap some
benefits. However, while he still carries the title of a
freelance performer, he usually has to make due with odd end
jobs, unless a more stable and supportable option is made known.
History
Mallow was born into a family of 14 who concealed themselves
from Sand Blast City's raid during the Great War. As the 9th
child of 12 children, he takes his place as the youngest son of
the Rabbit family, and grew up a bit of a runt due to his albino
nature and smaller stature compared to his older brothers. With
family being practically the only companionship in his life,
Mallow was in good respects with all of his siblings, but his
favorite sibling was the 3rd born and second son, Warren. Warren
was training to be a Sandblaster to protect his family and take
back their city from the sub-bosss and robians. Warren was a
role model for all of his younger siblings, but he shared a
special bond with Mallow, whom he would take on secret training
missions and was the first to teach him how to use his legs as
weapons.
Sadly, Warren, along with the rest of Mallow's family were
killed when their location was discovered by a horde of Robians.
Mallow would have died too if it had not been for his brother
Warren who sacrificed himself to protect his little brother.
Mentally scarred and emotionally, he was raised by a widowed
Mobian by the name of Sylvie the Swan, who had also lost her
family to Robotnik's creations. She became his foster mother and
took it upon herself to teach him the art of ballet, the one
thing that lifted her spirits in times of great despair. The
training was brutal, but Mallow had emerged a excellent dancer,
one she could be proud of.
Once the city was reclaimed, life became a bit better for Mallow
as he pursued his dancing career with Sylvie as his mentor.
However, as he neared the age of his late brother Warren, the
life of a Sandblaster began to draw in his attention also. But
Sylvie forbade it. She afraid she would lose him as she had lost
her husband. Yet Mallow couldn't resist the luring temptation
that had been slowly consuming his every waking moment: Revenge.
And so Mallow began to train with the Sandblasters in secret,
what skills he had lacked when he was younger, he now possessed
due to the intense exercises he went through in his career as a
ballet dancer. He had speed, strength, and balance. All of this
allowed him to advance in his training to fight. His exeleration
in his training had caught the attention of one, Jack Rabbitt,
who personally recruited Mallow to join the Sandblasters
officially. Jack soon became his confident and most trusted of
friends.
The missions of a Sandblaster were hard, scary, but Mallow used
his skills to fight the robots, and complete the other missions
successfully. There had been failures, no freedom fighter's life
is without them. But the worst one Mallow experienced was when
their team had been escorting Mobian refugees to the safety of
their domed city when they were ambushed by robians. Many
Sandblasters died protecting the refugees, Jack was badly
wounded, losing one of his eyes in the process; Mallow suffered
minor injuries, but nothing compared to the rest of the team.
After that, Mallow and Jack's partnership became strained.
Things turned for the worse for Mallow, when Sylvie found out
about his enrollment in the Freedom Fighters and gave him an
ultimatum; if he was going to stay with her he would have to
quit the Sandblasters.
Mallow lived in the Sandblaster HQ with Jack, after that. The
comforts he should have found in Jack's company was greatly
lacking and Mallow could not hope to find the desired comforts
of a friend that would have helped support his decision that
cost him his treasured family relationship with Sylvie.
Some time passed after Mallow's change of residence, and a
certain plane crashed in the outskirts of Sandblast City. The
Sandblasters mobilized and what was waiting for them but their
hero and inspiration, Sonic the Hedgehog. Mallow couldn't
believe it, the legend himself, the Mobian who defeated the
dreaded Robotnik single-handed, was in his city. Many times had
the young rabbit looked up at that statue with admiration and
praise, and now the living thing was in his city! (See Sonic the
Hedgehog Issue 63-63)
Jack had been excited too, as he managed to rally everyone the
entire city to support his cause; he wanted Sonic to stay in
Sandblast City. Everyone in the base agreed to this; everyone
except for Mallow. The two rabbits fought until it was clear
that the albino bunny would not waver from his moral, Mallow was
kicked out of the Sandblasters, and exiled from the city.
Mallow watched with a broken heart as Sonic destroyed the
controls to the force field, and the Robians attacked his
hometown. All that he once knew and loved was now gone, taken
away by one tyrant and those he thought were his family. Mallow
made a vow to his true family. Though he knew he could never
bring them back, he swore that he would become a true warrior,
one that would make his brother proud, and he would use his
skills to help those who had suffered under the hand of
injustice.
Mallow went on a long journey to fulfill this vow, he joined a
traveling circus where he used his dance skills to perform with
them in exchange for an opportunity to use his Freedom Fighting
skills to help others as they traveled. Years later, he said his
goodbyes and departed from them, taking up the occupation of a
freelance performer/dancer. He arrives sometime later in the
newly built Mobotropolis, where a new chapter of his life lies
open and ready to be written.
