A Whole New World

Mobotropolis, the capital city of the Kingdom of Acorn. The
shining city was filled with life after its revival, and there
was no clearer sign of that then rush hour on a perfect day. Any
locals could probably tune out the overwhelming cacophony of
motion and voices and activity as the streets were flooded by
bodies pushing to reach their destination, but Blaze the Cat
wasn't exactly a local. She'd nearly tripped over three groups
of playing children already, narrowly avoided bumping into
several adults and had been rudely shoved aside by twice as
many. Feeling a headache coming on, Blaze abandoned politeness
for a moment to shove her way through the crowd and into an
empty alley in order to try and catch her breath and regain her
bearings. She didn't exactly know why the Sol Emeralds
transported her to Sonic's world again. Eggman Nega was supposed
to be dead, and she didn't think Sonic's Eggman would try taking
on her and him alone. The fact that the Sol Emeralds didn't
scatter when entering this dimension was also rather peculiar
hearing something getting rather close she took up a combat
ready stance not wanting to be approached by some random thug.

Sonic was blasting through the streets of the city he called
home blazing a trail of fire down the paths he took. People
darted out of the way and some jumped at the sudden speeding
shock. He took a right down an ally grabbing onto a street sign
spinning around it to make the turn without slowing down. The
blue blur skidded to a sudden stop digging the heels of his
sneakers into the ground. He cracked his fingers and placed them
behind his head. Upon spying the purple cat he thought to
himself. "Maybe this is the day my luck with women finally
improves." He walked over and decided to introduce himself smug
smile sprawled across his face. "Hey whats a pretty girl like
you doing alone in an ally like this?"

Blaze quickly lowered her stance after hearing a voice that was
quite familiar to her, though hearing his comment made a faint
blush run across her face before she turned around to make sure
it was him. "Erm was that comment directed toward me Sonic?
W-While I appreciate it i-it's rather sudden, as for what I'm
doing I was j-just recollecting my thoughts." She said her heart
pounding in her chest, where was all of this suddenly coming
from? What exactly happened to his ear? Why couldn't she get
back to her normally calm state? She hoped he wouldn't notice
her blush, which in all honesty was the most embarrassing part
to her.

Sonic noticed the female felines flushing and smiled surprised
she knew his name. "You know me? Oh I get it you must be a fan.
Don't feel bad babe I have that effect on people. Being the
fastest thing alive and the greatest hero on the planet it comes
with the territory." Sonic's ego was in full force talking
himself up as his pride was unmatched. "Come on we can talk out
on the streets. I'd rather not have you run into muggers here."
He said placing his hands against her back pushing her out into
the street. "You look a little flustered. You new to the city
or?" He asked as they stood on the sidewalk watching the world
go by.

Blaze was honestly confused, how did Sonic not remember her? Did
something happen in this dimension? She was going to find out
what exactly happened on her own, but now there was more
pressing matters at hand. Sonic, the man who she fell in love
with after such a short amount of time, was flirting with her.
"W-Well I s-suppose you could say that." Her blush grew a bit
deeper as she heard the concern over her well being, shifting
ever so slightly in place due to how embarrassing she thought it
was. "I-I come from a pretty far away place" she said cursing
the stutter in her voice when speaking to him, wishing she still
was cold and shut off just for this one situation.

"Far away huh? Well you couldn't have picked a better city to
vacation in. Capital of the world. We got festive food great
games and best of all the royalty is right here in the heart of
the city? You ever meet a princess? Sal and I used to be tight."
He told Blaze watching the people pass by. "So you got a name?"
He asked looking rather content.
Sonic was going to be perfectly fine having a conversation with
this girl he had just met until a large TV screen started to
cast a foreign news channel. A robot built to resemble a
beautiful overlander woman waltzed on screen. The android had a
short bob cut steel around her head to resemble hair and big
bright glowing yellow eyes with black bristles to emulate long
lashes. She gripped a microphone with three fingers and stood
next to Doctor Eggman.
"Were here live from Planet Mobius with galactic hero Dr.Eggman.
Eggman the great man who built me."
She placed her free hand on his shoulder and smiled. "In many
ways he's like a father to me. So please Doctor tell us how the
investigation is going? I've been told the planets so called
"hero" as tried to hinder your progress. What kind of hero tries
to destroy the future of his people, then dose ballet?" Footage
played of Sonic dancing and making a fool of himself.
Eggman to himself, and began stroking his mustache slowly. " We
have confirmation that Robotnik is here and in force. He's dug
in quite well and because of this we may have to launch an all
out assault against him." As the mention of a hero came he
chuckled. " Yes. The blue Hedgehog by the name of "Sonic" Has
been a big thorn. I believe he may be abit racist towards
anything not covered in fur or scales." He sighed. " Its a
shame. I've come here to help them however I can, yet I am
ridiculed because I am different."He brought the back of his
hand to his forehead. " Thus is the plight of a Genius."
Both Orbot and Cubot clapped at the dramatic Performance.
The attractive robot smiled taking her hand off Eggman's
shoulder and wrapping both around her microphone. "Thank you
Doctor Eggman. There you have it this brave scientist against
all odds presses on to save a planet that ridicules him. At the
center of this spiral of hate is one Sonic Hedgehog. Judging
from his bizarre behavior at the moment this reporter thinks
he's insane and dangerous. I've done some investigating
reporting and here is what I've found. Sonic got his start
selling cigarettes to school children. He's responsible for
more than twelve forest fires due to his reckless running not to
mention his notorious drunken exploits. This is Beck Barbas of
Gold Galaxy News. Just doing Eggman's work." After that she
lowered the mic and dropped the professional posture.
The news cast ended and Sonic balled up his fists. Sonic was
seething with anger as his blood boiled. He clenched his teeth
and shouted at the top of his lungs. "EGGGGMANNN! Sonic kicked
up a nearby can and hurled it towards the screen at such high
speeds it shattered the screen. "That egg shaped poser thinks he
can broadcast lies about me and ruin my rep. We'll see how he
likes bragging when I shove my super sonic foot up his ass."

Blaze was at first shocked by Sonic's random outburst of anger
but then began to muse over what exactly happened thus far. To
start out Eggman being trusted was usually not a good sign, not
to mention Sonic down right not even knowing who she was
concerned her, not to mention in her times here she never
particularly heard of royalty here...well none that anyone ever
mentioned to her. Sonic's sudden change in personality
practically confirmed it, this wasn't the mobius she was used
to. This also meant this Sonic wasn't the one she loved, so with
a sigh her previous embarrassment and hope flew right out the
window. "I'm Blaze the Cat princess of the Sol Dimension, and
guardian of the Sol Emeralds. I've never been to this mobius
before, and I would like for you to not think of any previous
actions of mine in this short time be shared or even
acknowledged. You aren't the Sonic I know." She said all of this
in her usual stoic and calm manner along with a small glare to
empathize her point.

Sonic took a deep breath regaining his composure. He looked over
to Blaze and placed an arm behind his head a little embarrassed.
"I'm sorry Blaze I'm not having a good week. First Robuttnik
attacks the city then this Eggman joker shows up and starts
ruining my reputation." After picking up the rest of her
sentence he have a tiny bow. "Princess! I wish you could have
told me earlier. Here I am hitting on royalty when I should have
been showing some class." Sonic ran his hands through his spines
and asked the purple cat. "Sol....emeralds huh? They anything
like the ol chaos emeralds we have here? You know shimmering
stones limitless power. Bad guys usually want them for some kind
of doom weapon." The last part really stuck with him. "There are
other Sonics? Geez now thats a mind nuke. Aww come on princess I
may not be the Sonic you know but were all heroes right? Whats
this other me like anyway?"

"Well for one he doesn't hit on me the first chance he gets, and
second off he's a lot more calm than you." She her calm demeanor
masking any sort of insult, but it was clearly meant as a slight
jab at him. "Also yes the Sol Emeralds are a lot like your
world's Chaos Emeralds but aren't exactly the same. Also if you
wouldn't mind I would prefer if you called me by my name, I get
called princess enough by diplomats and conquers." she says with
a sigh, kinda glad she was away from her political duties for a
bit. "Also I thought you weren't going to hit on me anymore,
while it's somewhat charming it's rather useless."

Sonic raised his arms and shrugged. "You can't blame a guy for
trying right? So what brings you to Mobius? The sights the
sounds...the chilidogs?" Hearing there may be more than one of
him kind of ticked Sonic off. He had always prided himself on
being the fastest thing alive the thought that their were others
that could match his abilities put Sonic in a foul mood. "I bet
he's a tool anyway." Sonic stated leaning against the wall
giving a slight pout crossing his arms.
