The Path to Tranquility

The cyan hedgehog arrived at the outskirts of the city after an
encounter with his new friends, he decided to take that little
hiking trip he was talking about. He came across a mountain road
"It's nice to take a little walk once in a while" he muttered to
himself and watched the beautiful scenery from the chirping of
the birds to the gentle breeze in the air, everything was so
peaceful...However with Robotnik on the loose with those emerald
it won't be soon, but that is not what he came to think of for
today. He just wanted to take some time for himself and enjoy.
As he walked to the hilltop there he saw another traveler
walking the hilltop as well.

There stood an old panda at the age of 56, from above the
mountain road he looked toward the horizon and took a deep
breath admiring the scene. "Wonderful...." he muttered out. He
looked back and saw another traveler who was on the same road as
he is. The panda gave a gentle wave when suddenly the earth
shook and suddenly the rocks from above came crumbling down
towards him.

The hedgehog was shocked to sense the ground shake, then soon
the rocks from above crumbling down. He made a dash towards the
elder to protect him but wasn't anticipating the moment when a
rock smacked the hedgehog's head. "Ow!" he yelled out in pain
and saw blood dripping. He covered it with his hand and tried to
make it toward the panda so they could take cover. "Look out!"
he yelled as a rock was about to stumble on the Panda, he
unleashed his flames and was about to strike the rock.

The old panda heard the hedgehog cry for pain and immediately
dropped his items, he began to make a somewhat stance, as the
rocks came crumbling, then took a leap and delivered a strike at
the block which crumbled afterwards. There were more coming so
he took a deep breath, sliding his feet in a circular motion
before delivering a series of palm heel strikes which made the
incoming boulders crumble so that he and the cyan hedgehog would
not get hit. The rocks from before were nothing but reduced to
pieces or merely dust, once the panda was done he took a deep
breath once more and quickly approached the hedgehog for
attention. "My boy are you alright?" he asked and saw the small
wound on the hedgehog's forehead.

The hedgehog awed at the sight of the panda, as he demolished
those rocks with his cool moves. For an old panda he sure got
some style. "Yeah I'm alright...I guess" he noticed the small
drop of blood dripping from his forehead, he extinguished his
flames first so the panda would not see before he tried covering
it with his hand. So much for the peaceful travel.

"Oh let me help you with that" the panda said as he felt pity
for the hedgehog. He took out from his bag a circular container
which he opened to reveal that it was ointment. "This healing
ointment should seal that wound up" he said as he dipped his
hand in it to get a small sample the applied it on the wound of
the hedgehog. He felt a slight stinging sensation and the panda
added "Don't worry it's not that painful and this wound shall be
gone soon" he said before putting it back in his bag.

The hedgehog winced in pain a bit and felt the burning sensation
touching his forehead, with somehow the pain ceased.
"Wow...thank you very Mr. Panda..thank you again for the
save...it was pretty cool what you did back there sir..." he
said to the panda before standing up.

"Mr Panda? hoho...Mr. Panda is my father...call me Foo or Old
man Foo and your name boy?" he asked as he gave a short chuckle.
He smiled on the compliment of the young hedgehog "Thank you
child...but there a little bit rough yet" he said upon packing
up his supplies.

The hedgehog smiled "Thank you again Old man Foo and my name is
Soul" he said and added "Oh hey you we're awesome back there you
were like this--and this--and that!" he said while making some
sort of kung-fu gestures and giggled. "Let me help you there
sir" he reached out his hand to the Panda's stuff but touched
his paw. "Sorry sir" he said and retracted his hand back before
lifting the bag.

"Soul...that's an interesting name, why thank you..." the panda
said with a joyful smile, as the two hands came in contact the
panda was shocked as he felt a surge of energy within the
hedgehog's hand and immediately pulled it away. "My Boy... I
sensed great power flowing right through you" he said while
examining the hedgehog's hand. "I saw you igniting some sort of
fire back then..would it be alright if you show it again?" he
requested the hedgehog and was curious.
