Re: It's How Things Go

Unless the shield weighed more than an aircraft carrier,
carrying the weight of the shield wasn't an issue but the heat
certainly wasn't something she was fond of. Immediately after
holding it for a few seconds she dropped it and flinched as an
invulantary reaction to the heat emmitting from it. She then
proceeded to pick it up again and held it up again - but this
time with the front end of her tonfa.
Beneath her mask she grimaced as the heat quickly escalated. Her
fur was thick and much better suited for the cold, so when he
dove down with the stream of fire she could do little more than
to curl up behind the shield for protection. She winced away
from the newly formed magma, even having to tear off a sleeve or
two from her attire as the ends had ignited. It was becoming
apparent that the ends of her fur were getting singed, but she
was even more grateful that she had decided to take the shield
in the first place.
Despite all of this a soft giggle echoed from within her mask.
'I haven't been faced with such a challenge in years. No matter
how bad things are getting right now, this sparring match is so
invigorating!' she thought excitedly. Karahl watched the dragon
soar above... his flight advatage was becoming a problem. Her
eyes darted to the magma beside her, then to the shield.
Given how hot his shield was and how he emitted so much heat
from the beginning she figured that he was fire proof - but
maybe she might be able to still ground him if her aim was
accurate? First she dug part of the shield into the magma and
then started flinging chunks of it at Zarroc, particularly
aiming for his wing membranes and joints. If she could see that
magma hadn't affected his flight pattern - if she managed to
land her hits - she would proceed to throw bits of debris; still
aiming for his wings.

After his pass Zar'roc stopped to watch his work. He tilted his
head as he watched her work with his shield. He hovered there,
Flapping his wings as the Magma was thrown at him. He brought
up a hand to help protect his face but didn't move. The magma
hit him, but just slowly dripped off of him with little to no
affect. He laughed. " Trying to give me a bath in the middle of
a fight? I'm not even that dirty yet."
Then came the debris throwing. He glared and dodged the first
two, only for a third thrown piece to hit him right in the bend
of his wing. He'd fall, but use his wings to glide down softly.
He'd skid to a landing on the floor then glare at her as his
wings folded up. He Gripped his axe Tightly, staring at her
before he smiled. The heat from the Magma was getting worse,
not only that But Zar'roc began walking towards her. He opened
his mouth slowly, letting that sulfur smoke billow out into a
nice smoke screen that would cover the battle field. The raking
of his claws would echo from no real location. Zar'roc had
examined her and deduced something. A hand shot from the smoke,
rushing Karahl from behind in an attempt to grab her by the
tail. Should he be succsessful he'd then thrash her around by
it. Should he fail he'd dissappear into the smoke once more.

'Here comes that smoke again. she thought, with all this heat
about she had to work quickly lest she could risk getting a
heatstroke and burns the longer this battle goes on. The ninja
decided to keep her eyes closed for the rest of the battle; it
was best to protect her eyes ftom the sulfur but at least her
mask was still filtering out the toxic fumes. She then tore off
another sleeve and tied it over her eyes before crouching at the
ready.
As Zarroc's hand closed, her could hust feel her singed fur slip
from his grasp and once again she was gone. She was at home
whenever she was within the dark or smokescreen. He needn't to
disappear far into the smoke before the tiger appeared again,
this time landing squarely on his back, grabbed him by the horns
and attempted to wrestle him to the ground. During the struggle,
she subtly slipped a number of metal balls again in between the
gaps of his armor.

He cursed to himself as she escaped his grasp and returned to
the smoke. The dragon hissed as he looked around for her. Then
he felt her weight on his back. She grabbed his horns and began
trying to grapple him! A roar escaped him as he did so. He
reached back, attempting to grab her anywhere he could,
Preferably her neck again. That empty hand, should it grab
anthing would dig its metal coated claws in before wretching her
foreward to the ground infront of him. Should he fail He'd
Spit that white hot fire into the air, in an attempt to scare
her with its intense heat.
He hadn't even noticed those metal balls she was slipping in his
armor, far to focused on getting her off his back.

After a bit of a struggle Zarroc managed to grab Karahl by the
side and dug his claws through her attire and into her flesh.
The tiger yowled out in pain before being pinned to the ground.
Blood flowed out between the dragon's fingers and began to
slowly pool beneath the tiger. As a response her tail grabbed a
tonfa and attempted to uppercut him with it; but she wasn't sure
if she managed to hit him, given the awkward angle.
All the while she was counting down in her mind.

Zar'roc took the Tonfa right to the face. It caused his head to
fly upwards for a moment. He stayed there for a few moments
before looking back down at her, the look of rage clear on his
face. He tossed his axe to the side before clenching his
armored fist. He'd begin Punching the tiger in the face with
all his might, Roaring with each punch.

The punches were hard, so much so that with each repeated punch
her mask soon broke off, revealing the rather feminine-looking
face that was quickly being stained with blood. Her ears pinned
back, just as he pulled back for the next punch, Karahl's canine
teeth extended to saber proportions. She too let out a mighty
roar and simultaneously used her tail to slam the tonfa hard
between his legs hoping for an opportunity to slip out of his
grasp and flurry of punches.

The tonfa found home, but it wouldn't do much to disuade the
Punches. Sure it hurt. But the upside of being a reptile was
all your private parts were inside Less pain over all. He
pulled back off of her and roared down at her. He'd pin her to
the floor with one of his large feet before picking up his axe
with his tail. He'd toss it in the air and catch it in his hand
before snarling down at her. He'd lift it over his head and
bring it down swiftly. It would stop merely an inch away from
her face. He snorted.
"Check Mate, Tiger." He snarled. "I am this battles Victor."

"I guess so." the tiger sighed in agreement... but she raised a
brow and a subtle smile curled at her lips. She couldn't see the
axe being brought down as she was still blindfolded, but she
could feel the momentum of something stop very close to her
face.
As if on cue - or it was rather late to react - the little metal
balls that were slipped between his armor earlier began to
rattle and spin and liquid nitrogen spat out on various parts of
his body.
'That would have been handy to have happened earlier...' she
thought.

He chuckled down at her. " You fought well..." He hissed. "Well
enough for a Mortal."
Then those little balls went off. He took a step off of her and
looked down to his body as he began to feel that icy cold
feeling. He looked about quickly. He'd have to move quickly if
he wished not to Freeze solid. Without so much as another word
he shot foreward, his body's heat skyrocketing as he Dove right
into the Magma he had made earlier. He'd stay down in there,
Submerged for several Minutes before Popping back up. He'd shake
himself off and snort smoke out his nostrils. "Clever trick."
He said. " But Ultimately Futile..."
