It's How Things Go
By: Karahl Date: October 11, 2015, 12:11 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Sometime later that day the ninja had come to a stop on a
rooftop of a secluded part of thr city. She had a disgruntled
look on her as she decided to sit with her legs overhangung the
edge. In front of her, her tail had a firm grasp onto the pieces
of the Master Emerald and with a deep frown she stared at her
reflection for a little while.
"Well I'll be damned, it's not a Cryo Generator but it's
definitely worth something in value. I can feel some power
emitting from it... but what is it?" she murmured to herself as
she tilted the Emerald pieces from side to side during it's
inspection.
The tiger sighed with annoyance, "And here I told that morbidly
obese... 'man' that I was on another job in between the first
and second contract with him... h.ell I should have known he
wouldn't wait... inpatient bastard." she continued talking to
herself quietly, an odd habit she had developed since she had no
one else to talk to most of the time. Karahl had always thought
of it best to not have friends, it compromises too much on her
jobs and is a waste of time anyway... at least, that's what she
told herself everyday.
"So, what now? What to do with it?" she continued as though
trying to set things straight, "I only took it to satisfy myself
that I didn't leave empty handed..."

While the Tiger was distracted with her speaking a shadow flew
behind her, Momentarily passing over her. Easily could be
passed off as a bird however. However when the sound of a MIghty
roar rumbled through the sky it was anything but a birds.
Primal, dangerous, Loud.
The shadow seemed to fly in a circle over the building before
Diving towards it. It dove at incredible speeds before slowing
rather quickly. Two powerful wings flapped, sending gusts of
wind towards the Tiger as the large reptilian landed. Eight
feet tall, Clad in Ornate light blue armor. Red scales and
gleaming yellow eyes. The creature held an axe twice as large as
Karahl In one hand, and a massive shield in the other. It stood
there, staring at her, before it spoke.
"You can hand it over to me." He spoke. HIs voice rumbled,
Commanding Respect, and fear. This was a powerful entity, and it
knew it. HIs eyes Narrowed. " Otherwise I'm afraid things will
come to blows. And I can assure you. If it comes to that, you
will not be victorious." The beast's large hand lifted its axe
before tapping the roof twice with it. "We can do this
peacefully. Or I can use your pelt as a new rug."

Had he not insulted her the tiger would have gladly shared her
spoils. She was however surprised to see such an imposing Mobian
- was he even Mobian? She wasn't sure what to do at first, but
given his attire and approach she had to make herself clear that
she was not to be preyed upon. This was not a time for stealth.
Karahl is a predator being a tiger and having a taste for Mobian
flesh, so she isn't easily intimidated.
So in response, she said nothing and instead did a backflip off
the building - still with the emeralds firmly wrapped within the
coils of her tail. She drew out her reinforced diamond tonfa and
slammed them onto the ground when she landed and in doing so the
entire coty reacted. The ground rippled and shifted, buildings
shook from the quake but almost all still remained standing. At
best some cracks in walls were made from the force. The tiger
the narrowed her eyes snd slammed her weapons agaibst each other
twice, egging him on.

The reptile narrowed his eyes as she jumped off. He watched her
display in silence, his wings shifting lightly with the shaking,
so he kept his balance without shaking. Smoke snorted out of
his nostrils before he hopped down. He landed in front of her
with a metallic thud, the ground beneath his feet cracking. He
stood slowly then turned to her. "You know not what power you
meddle with Feline." He said. "I give you this moment to give it
to me peacefully. This is your last chance."
A strange heat began to eminate from the reptile, which was
slowly propelled towards Karahl as his wings gently flapped,
fanning the heat towards her. It only grew hotter with each
moment. He stared at her, a Rumbling growl coming from him,
echoing deep down inside his throat. "Give it to me, before you
destroy yourself."

"Change your tone and I just might." Karahl relied with a
respectfully cold tone, "We are both a force to be reckoned
with, I demand equal respect and to not be treated as
incompetent prey."

He glared at her as she spoke. His tail moved slowly before he
snorted. " So be it." He rumbled.
He still held his Waraxe, as well as his shield as he spoke. " I
am Zar'roc Turank. Last of the Turank Dragon Clan." He said. He
pointed to her with the axe, mainly at her tail. "The Item you
hold in your possession is an Item of power, far stronger than
most have ever encountered." He stood up straighter. " I am
tasked with the safety of this land, and the fact that that
shard is out in the open means that the balance has been
destroyed once again." He sighed. " History has repeated
itself, and as such I must repeat my Duty." He knocked his axe's
butt on the ground twice. "Give it to me, and I shall return it
to its rightful protector."

"That wasn't so hard now was it? Thank you." she commented with
the same tone as before. She then transferred the shards from
her tail to her hand, taking one last look at it before
cautiously approaching the dragon and handing it over.
"If it is as powerful as you say then it probably is best I do
not hold onto it. It'll lead to an obsession with power and thus
to insecurity; to weakness."
After it was out of her hands she crossed her arms, "Your clan's
name is an unusual one. You are not from here?" The tiger
thensheathed her weapons to her belt, though still kept a
careful eye on the dragon, "I am Karahl, of the Snow-Claw
Shinobi Clan. Few have been willing to be cooperative with me,
so it is appreciated."

He'd put his shield on his back as she approached, nestling it
between his wings before holding out a hand to her. Once the
Emerald peice was in his hand he'd look it over. A glare would
be seen as he looked at the shard, before putting it away in a
leather bag on his belt. He looked down to her.
"You've made a wise decision. Mortals as yourself cannot
withstand the temptation of Power. I have seen such power used
horribly in the past." He'd keep a tight hold on his axe, his
hand not once leaving it. He brought a hand up to his chest,
right about where his heart would be, before bowing his head to
her. " Karahl Snow-Claw. I have heard whispers of your clans
name, but paid no mind to it." He looked her up and down. "My
clan was one of the first on Mobius to ever exist... And also
the first to disappear. I am the last Member of my Clan, and as
such I must uphold their duty and Honor."
He'd turn his side to her, though his head eyes never left her.
He began to circle her slowly looking her up and down. " Your
rather tall for a Mammal..." He spoke.

Karahl nodded as he spoke, drinking in the information. Though
when he started encircling her her ears and eyes followed him;
she didn't like it, interpretting it as predatory behavior -
something she was used to doing herself. She kept her calm of
course, "You and I both, corruption of power leads to sloppy and
reckless behavior. It's embarrassing."
She returned the bow, "Someone of your stature is one deserving
of respect as well. My clan is also one of old but a number of
us still roam about Mobius." Karahl then stood taller with
pride, "Our height is infamous - neccessary for our lifestyle."

"Indeed it is." He said. " And it means I must put down an
innocent. That I must spill the blood of a Mortal to keep the
peace." He sighed softly. He'd stop circling her after a few
minutes, stopping in front of her as she bowed.
"I am older than most would ever think possible. But I myself
have forgotten my age. I have heard Mobians say that the young
should Respect their Elders." He chuckled softly. " I may be
older than most living things on this planet, but I am not an
Elder." He looked her up and down. " Infamous...." That made him
frown for a few moments before he spoke again. " Infamy is not
something to be Proud of. Not when it involves a loss of Honor."
