Sonic smiled returning her hug before holding her at arms length
with his hands on her shoulders. "It's called street smarts
kid. I may be useless at science or math but when it comes to
saving the world I can't be beat." He gave Sapphire a smile and
a thumbs up before letting go of her to give a glare to the
sniper in the corner. He rushed over pulling the mag from the
rifle with swift speed. "This is the SECOND time you've shot at
me. NEVER point a weapon at an ally." Rage was boiling Sonic's
blood as he made a bold statement. "You ever point a gun at me
again you'll be eating Xmas dinner through a straw." He tossed
the bullets back to their owner over his shoulder as he
approached Robotnik.

Petrov took a step back as he found the rifle without a
magazine, even though he still had a bullet in the chamber.
He didn't really say anything as Sonic scolded him, he just
caught the magazine and placed it back in his rifle as he hung
it over his shoulder.
"The first time i aimed for Robotnik, i didn't anticipated him
to react as fast as he did," he stated calmly, "the second time
i assumed you were changing side, how was i supposed to know."
He wasn't trying to defend himself, he was merely reasoning why
he acted like he did.

[shadow=red,left]"You little moron. We would have been
unstoppable."[/shadow] Robotnik stood slamming his fist into his
palm.
Sonic watched in awe not believing what he was seeing. "Why
won't you stay down?" He asked still surprised Robotnik was
moving.
The overlander brought forth his metal arm as three circular
openings revealed themselves. Three different colored gems were
locked into place feeding him with power. He showed off his edge
as he replied. [shadow=red,left]"Chaos Emeralds son."[/shadow]
The hatches closed sealing off the emeralds as he continued to
talk. [shadow=red,left]"They enhance my strength and protect my
body from most damage. You can't hurt me Sonic. I doubt even
your top speed would be enough to even scratch me." [/shadow]

At this point Dr.Robotnik was radiating with power he seemed
nearly unstoppable with the gems at his command. He stomped his
foot cracking the entire base in two. The sheer force of the
move tore though six foot steel plates like they were paper. The
walls fell down reveling the open forest around them. Sonic
looked to Sapphire and the tag along sniper he couldn't risk
their safety by engaging his enemy here. He backed away grabbing
both of their wrists. "We gotta get out of here. We need a
plan." He blasted across the forest and over the great planes
leaving Robotnik behind.
[shadow=red,left]"That's right run hedgehog. Before today is
done the city will be in the palm of my hand." [/shadow] His
powerful voice boomed across the land as his red eyes burned
bright like the fires of hell.
