Petrov smiled as he followed Sapphire, she was faster than he
had expected and managed to get away from him as he didn't ask
if he could go along with her.
So he had taken to try and track her down using footprints and a
distinct kind of scent still in the air. You didn't need to pass
by the hotdog stands often to recognize the chilidog and soon
enough she became easier to track as her path became more
obvious the closer she got to the forest.
When he reached their meeting point, Sapphire and Sonic had
already left as well, however, their talking had allowed him to
get close enough that he could track them through the woods.
As he reached Robotnik's fort he was met with a scene of chaos
and destruction. The SWATbots were completely destroyed and the
door was forced open and off its hinges.
He managed to catch a glimpse of the two hedgehogs as they
entered the building. Seeing as they had cleared the courtyard
he just ran across it, trying to catch up to the two. He looked
for some sort of weapon he could use inside, sniper rifles
weren't the most wieldable weapons in CQC, sadly it seemed Sonic
and Sapphire had done their job too well and the weapons were
gone too.
"You two sure made them meet their maker," he said in a semi low
voice as he entered the fortress, "mind if i tack along?"

Sonic looked back over his shoulders noticing him from the
battle before. "Sure just try to keep up & stay on your toes.
You never know what Robuttnik is is planning. Sapphire was right
the next room they entered was Robotnik's command chambers. The
large tyrant sat before the tiny woodland creatures towering
over them with his immense size. His foul sneer and leer was
aimed at them. Sonic stomps his foot and exclaims. "You've had
some dirty tactics before Robuttnik but this is too far. You can
try to kill me and blow me up, but trashing my rep is too far."

Sapphire looked back to see Petrov, she hadn't gotten a good
look at everyone from the fight and at the castle, nor had she
spoken to everyone, but she remembered seeing Petrov there.
She smiled when Sonic allowed him to join in on the adventure,
she then shared her smile with Petrov to make him feel more
welcomed and then continued on slog beside Sonic.
Sure enough they'd reach Robotnik's room in no time. It was too
easy. A little, too easy...
Sapphire gulped seeing Robotnik, more nightmares, yaaaay.
She hugged her hammer and stood behind Sonic as the hedgehog
spoke up to the evil doctor while he glared at them, she had a
gut feeling that something wasn't right about all of this... Why
had Robotnik let them pass in so easily? She backed her back up
against Sonic's and looked about, trying to find either
something that would confirm a trap or something that would
prove evidence to Sonic's innocents.

Sapphire's examination would turn up no results sadly. Suddenly
a beeping was emitted from Sonic's wrist he quickly pulled back
the cuff of his glove to see he had received a notification on
his watch. He looked both alarmed and angry. "DAMMIT! They are
after the Emerald...." Sonic quickly cast the thought aside
stepping up to the doctor. "Let's make this quick I've got
places to be." He said as he cracked his knuckles and stretched
out his legs.

Petrov was glad that they allowed him too tag along, he was
going to slow them down but anyone tagging along with Sonic was
going to slow him down regadless, so what the hell.
Anyway, he found himself gripping his weapon harder as Robotnik
just stood there, though he too was uncertain of what was to
happen.
So he went closer to Sonic and Sapphire, knelt down to stabilize
his aim and looked backward, to try to prevent an ambush.
That was when Sonic said they had to go.
"Emeralds, what are you talking about?" he asked as he
shouldered his rifle, "the chaos emeralds...?"
He never really spent time learning about the chaos artifacts or
such. He didn't really consider it important, evidently he was
done.

Giant pistons lowered Robotnik's chair to the ground clicking
into place. He gave an annoyed expression as he stood stomping
towards the hedgehog. [shadow=red,left]"Pathetic little
Rodent!"[/shadow] Robotnik exclaimed looking over Sonic smashing
his metal hand into his other comprised of flesh and bone.
Sonic looked up confused raising an eyebrow. "The hell are you
thinking Robuttnik? No machines no tricks? Your going to take me
on all by yourself? Looks like you've finally cracked that egg
you call a head." The hero remarked with a smug smile sure he
could take his opponent with little effort.
"BAHH" Robotnik charged at Sonic full force going into a
shoulder barge. He sent Sonic slamming into the wall leaving a
massive dent. Sonic fell down only to be picked up by the
dictator with his iron grip choking the life out of him. He
begun punching Sonic in the face repeatedly only for the blue
animal to use his speed to dodge the next few hits while within
his grasp. Sonic sped up the vibration of his molecules causing
his body to phase through Robotnik's fingers. Sonic fell through
to the floor halting the vibrations to become solid once again.
Attempting his signature move Sonic curled up and burned rubber
like a smoking tire. Leaving a trail of flames behind him he
blasted off towards Robotnik. The evil scientist placed out his
palm stopping Sonic in his tracks as he spun to a halt. With an
expression of overwhelming pleasure he threw Sonic to the ground
and kicked him like he was a soccer ball sending him screeching
through the thick plated steel wall.
The doctor looked most pleased with himself as he stoked his
long mustache. [shadow=red,left]"You weak pathetic fools."

Sapphire only just managed to dive out of the way as Robotnik
charged at Sonic, after being behind him she needed to move
unless she wanted to be sandwiched.
When she'd gotten back up Sonic had slipped through the doctor's
fingers and they each had goes at each other but eventually
Robotnik kicked Sonic off like he was a ball for play or sport.
Sapphire raised her hammer and slammed the ground hard, sending
out a strong shock that she was hoping would knock Robotnik off
of his feet. She didn't hit the doctor directly then, just the
floor nearby him.
She didn't want to be in turn hit back by Robotnik so she turned
and ran to his chair, it could go up that could get her out of
reach.... But Sonic...
She ran over to Sonic to make sure he was alright, wrapping her
arms around his tummy before attempting to pull him back up onto
his feet, "Sonic! Are you okay? Oh please be okay!"

Sonic with the help of Sapphire got back to his feet gasping for
air while holding his stomach in pain. "What he's doing, its'
not human. Sapphire there's something seriously off here. He
shouldn't be this tough. Trust me I've done this a hundred time
before."

Robotnik seemed unphased by Sapphire's attack as he stood
strong. He smiled wide with an eerie and grim
grin.[shadow=red,left] "You still don't get it do you hedgehog?
This planet will be mine. I will improve it, cause it to thrive
above all the rest with my wondrous technology. Disease,war,
famine I can eliminate all that lovely suffering with a common
cause serving me. My robotic army will spread like wildfire
engulfing the land. I'll be doing this planet a service by
turning all it's weak waste into my shining servants. Ohhh I can
taste the pollution in the air. You of all people should share
my view. I want a world where the strong rule and the weak give
up their rights as an individual. A world where power and
justice are one in the same. To hell with the princess and her
petty politics. All they do is halt progress."[/shadow] Robotic
charged at Sonic and Sapphire delivering a wicked overhead punch
sending the hedgehogs slamming into the ground.

Sonic rose up trying to held Sapphire to her feet only to be
hammered down by Robotnik once again. "You're only interested in
death and domination. You use fear to scare others into obeying
you. I'm not interested in a world like that."
