The End:Freedom Planet (Sonic and Karahl only)

Sonic walked barefoot trough the broken ruins of the city
carrying his shoes by their laces slung over his shoulder. He
stopped as he reached the outskirts of Mobotroplis. He'd spent
years protecting this place from a homicidal madman and various
other threats. Sonic for a while Sonic felt this was his home,
but recent events have made Sonic see home is wherever your
family is. With most of the ties holding him to the city either
dead or safe he felt it was time to realize his dream of
traveling the world to be truly free like the wind. He wouldn't
be alone however throughout all of his trails this past year one
person had stood by his side the entire time. He held his hand
open awaiting her paw looking off over the horizon at the orange
sun setting. The sunset's rays made the city look like it was in
flames once again. With Robotnik gone for good he could finally
leave without anything holding him back.

Sonic would feel a soft hand interlace with his as she too -
while squinting - looked out into the sunset, gradually
blanketing the skies with darkness. She didn't say anything,
instead sharing this moment of silence that didn't need words.
The darker it grew, the more confidence she gained until she
finally stepped forward, leading him through onto their next
adventure. After all, she didn't need light to see the
adventures just waiting to leap out at them ahead.

As Karahl interlaced her paw with his he smiled walking
alongside her into the sunset.
"So this is it. This city has acted as my spotlight for years.
Every heroic act and speeding feat of bravery all worth it for
my adoring audience the citizens of Mobotropolis. But there
comes a time when an actor must move onto larger sets and bigger
performances. Besides looking at this place it seems my
spotlight has just about faded to black. But it was a hell of a
ride alright. It burnt brilliantly bright drawing all eyes to
me. Despite all the bumps in the road it was a great experience.
I've managed to make a lot of people happy or at the least
brought them something exciting. It's time to take this show on
the road. This time the entire world is my stage and I'm sure to
get a roaring review. What have I learned from this experience?
Well for one thing I've learned you've got to keep moving
forward. If you put plans in place for the future and them act
on them some day you'll hit the big time. You've gotta keep on
running, but most importantly I'm the star of the show."
