Hey guys I'm excited to get into the final chapter of Sonic
Spotlight. First you should read this Death of a Dream

/>then you are ready to RP. I've got some big surprises planned
so
no derailment please. The city is in peril and we need to work
together in order to save it. This is the finale so please if
you've got something you want your OC to do or say go for it.
I'll be dropping lots of references to old threads and
characters so enjoy.
Sonic skipped to a stop seeing the city in the distance. He had
stopped just on the outskirts of the city and he couldn't
believe what he was seeing. He had hoped it was merely an
illusion or a speed mirage. There before him was his city the
one he had protected for years, now bent and broken. Sonic fell
to his knees and then his hands not able to contemplate the
depths of his failure. Robotnik was unstoppable and now Sonic's
past had come back to haunt him. Everybody he had ever known was
either a slave or dead, he couldn't handle it was he saw the
endless legions of SWATbots and robiens. He shakes his head in
disbelief utterly speechless.

When Robotnik marched on the capital Guntram along with the rest
of the active combat pilots were deployed to try to protect the
city.
The operation had been a complete and utter disaster, most of
the ground strikers had been shot down trying to strafe Robotnik
only to have components shot and sent into death spiral toward
buildings causing massive explosion and fuel fires.
Most of those who survive the crashes perished as they burned to
death in the fires surrounding their planes. Those who survived
both, wished that they had died in the crash. Those who died
when the plane pancaked the ground was the lucky ones.
The operation ultimately failed when Robotnik's forces managed
to storm the air force command center. All the pilots could hear
was the screams and yells as the command staff fought to remain
in control of the central, to no avail.
Now they had climbed to the cloud layer and tried to figure out
what to do. In the end they had decided to fly to an old outpost
and regroup for a counterattack. They had dived to get some
speed and get out of the city limits.
What Sonic and the rest would see was the remaining 22 aircraft
flying toward them at high speed. Several of them damaged and
leaking fluids. One had even caught fire.
As they passed over one of the jets seemed to fall behind.
Guntram had run out of fuel and had to make a emergency landing.
During his descend he saw a missile zooming toward the remaining
fighters. It struck one them, exploded and ripped of a wing
resulting in the plane rolling over and smashing into another
one bringing it down with it. To add further insult to injury
the plane with fire burning exploded as well as the fire reached
the fuel tanks.
Guntram managed to make the plane touch down without damaging
it, not that i mattered. The guns were almost dry and the tank
was empty.
He opened the canopy and jumped out. Then he saw someone he
hadn't seen before, the blue hedgehog himself. He had never seen
him in person, though he had heard of him, who hadn't?
He quickly closed and locked the canopy before running over to
them. He looked at the city going down in flames, a truly
horrible sight it was.

Amy caught up to her blue friend a few minutes later, where
Sonic goes, Amy is sure to follow.
She saw first that Sonic had stopped and sunk to his knees, she
tilted her head before looking up to their home city. The sight
was something she wished she'd never saw. "Oh my Chaos.." She
said softly, covering her mouth with her white gloved hands
after stopping by Sonic's side, her eyes went cloudy with tears
and she shaikly and slowly put a hand on Sonic's shoulder, still
covering her mouth with her other hand as tears rolled down her
face, she shook her head, "No..." She gave a soft sniff, looking
around at all the terror and destruction, the scream of burning
children tore at her heart, as she had to watch their mothers
try to save their precious children, only to be torn away by the
cold metal hands of SWATbots to be robotosized. "This can't be
it" She sank down so that she was more levled with Sonic,
reaching over to take one of his hands into both of her's giving
another small shake of her head, "This can't be the end." She
said to the blue hedgehog with wide eyes, "It can't end like
this, we won't let it... Right? We... We can still save everyone
and.." Amy couldn't hold back anymore, she hung her head and
then slumped against Sonic's shoulder, letting the tears stream
down her face as she buried her face into his blue fur, spikes
and scarf.

Lp573 had been trying to scan for the four that had gone out to
search for Sonic, but he had completely lost them.
When Robotnik showed up he had tried to take him down, but was
caught in the process.
Robotnik had decided to have Lp573 reprogrammed to his original
programming and erasing his memory, returning Lp to his servant
status.
Now he stood by the doctor's side most of the time. And
occasionally he was sent out to take care of mobians, usually
for the doctor's pleasure.
Because of this he had been equipped with a small camera so
Robotnik could follow the action live.
It had to be noted that Lp hadn't received any upgrades and that
he was a robot, meaning a skilled technician could probably work
with him the same way Robotnik had.
The problem was getting to the robot without it trying to blow
your head off.

Searching for ages had finally payed off, as Sapphire finally
found some blue spikes that weren't her own for once, and better
yet when she spotted pink spikes right beside him, her eyes
shone hopeful and a smile filled her face, would she finally get
to meet her past parents together for once? And happy?
Not quite. Sonic and Amy might of heard the soft pitter patter
of Sapphire's boots quickly approaching them from behind, but
the closer she got, the more she felt that something off, she
slowed down and eventually stopped a few steps behind the pair,
realising why things where off when she got her eyes off of her
past parents.
Sapphire brought her hands up to her heart as she looked around
at the broken city, screams and cries sounding all about, it
sent so many horrible memories back to her.
The young hedgehog was finding it hard to breath with all the
horrible sights in front of her and all the terrible memories
that came flooding back, her head was going light and her vision
was going all blurry, probably from the tears that clouded them,
she felt the tears roll down and tried to wipe them away with
the palms of her hands.
But hearing the children being torn apart from the parents...
"Dad!" She cried out, zooming a few feet past Sonic, only to
turn around and leap at him to hug him, trying to find comfort
in being close to her father, she wasn't taken from her parents,
not yet, they where still here, she hoped they would stay here
too, she didn't want them to leave, not now, not ever.
She had her arms around Sonic's middle rather tightly, she had
her mother's hug it seemed, but she also didn't want to let him
go, she'd watched her father leave once and he never came back,
not fully, she couldn't bare to watch it happen again.
She looked up at Sonic with a glassy eye full of tears and
fright for a few moments, terrified of what might happen to her
new time family and friends. What might happen to Sonic and Amy,
whom she only just got to meet, was this it? Was this all her
life was ever going to be like? Running in fear, fearing for her
parents all the time, at least here she got to SEE them, so she
did what she wanted to do most to her own time parents before it
was too late.
Pulling Amy into a hug with Sonic too she somehow managed a
smile, "I love you Mum, and I'm sorry we haven't gotten to fully
meet quite yet" she said first to Amy, before looking to Sonic,
"I love you too Dad" She said, "Thank you for all the adventures
and memories, Chilidogs too, Sonic, you've made these past few
months or so, the best time of my life" She said with a soft
laugh, wiping some tears away from her face, "It's been a good
run" She finished, before standing up and holding her hands out
the two, "But being in the Hedgehog family, runs go for longer,
a lot longer, in fact they have no limit, let's not have this
run be our limit" She did a hand gesture, wanting one of each of
their hands so she could help them to their feet, "Come on!
Let's keep running!" She smiled, "That always did annoy
Buttnik".

It didn't take long for the cyan hedgehog to follow the group
after they had completed their mission, however upon arriving at
their destination came a horrible sight. The once blue colored
sky had become dark, black smoke polluted the air and all he
could hear were sounds of pain and despair. Upon looking at this
scene it made his heart tremble and his mouth gape in fear
"No......" he muttered out and realized something was missing
right away. He attempted to go inside the city but as he turned
around beyond their distance was the pink hedgehog Sakura.
The pink hedgehog who was looking down fell to her knees, Soul
rushed toward her and knelt down so that they can talk eye to
eye. "Where were you--" she muttered out "Where was
everybody?--Why did you guys leave us!" she yelled out. Soul was
shocked at the hedgehog's statement and went into a blank stare
for a moment however upon looking at her he noticed her left arm
was bleeding. She had witnessed everything that happened during
the invasion of the city, she was almost captured by one of the
SWATbots luckily she managed to escape but being one of the
victims inside that place was not a good experience. "I mean I
know why you had to but...Why!" The cyan hedgehog remained
silent, he couldn't say a word knowing that it was his fault for
not being there to save anyone or even her. He took out a
bandage cloth from Sakura's brown pouch and wrapped it around
her arm to stop the bleeding.
By the time he finished wrapping the cloth, the pink hedgehog
look up with her eyes flowing in tears and buried her face to
the cyan hedgehog's chest wailing for the loss of the citizens
and their home.
(Assuming Soul did went to the forbidden zone but only had to
face the minor SWATbots)

It hadn't been long since Blaze and the others escaped
Robotnik's lair. He wondered what could have happened to change
the outcome of that fight. It was too late to dwell on the
thoughts however as something more pressing came into view.
Arriving at the hillside, he was greeted with a terrible site.
Mobotropolis....a place he called his second home, was reduced
to flames and destruction. How on mobius did Robotnik get this
powerful in such a short time?
The sounds of mobians screaming caused the fire and Blaze's body
to boil as he shut his eyes trying to fight the images. They had
failed to stop the mad man and now their home was his new
domain. The thought of it made Blaze sick. His hands engulfed in
flames as he shouted to the sky in what appered to be a wolf
howl as he shot flames into the sky.
" Damnit! He's gone too far this time !" Blaze shouted as he
punched the ground fighting back tears. Being responsible for
deaths isn't something you can tuck away so easily and having to
see it now....nearly broke the flame weider.

For countless of hours this hedgewolf had expereienced both
failure and frustraction in more ways than one of his entire
life. First it was the dreadful mobian massacure which haunted
his mind for quite some time until recently and now this.. Not
only Robotnik has sucessfully took out a few of the worlds
protectors but he has managed to reshape an entire city in his
own image in a short amount of time.
Piles of metal. nuts, and bolts were seen flying through the air
as Ty continues fighting endless of SWATbots while rescuing any
remaining survivors doing the best he can..refusing to give up
any traces of hope as long as there was a hint of breath flowing
through his body.
He coms across Sonic who for the first time in his life gaze
upon the world at its most gritty condition. He narrows his eyes
approaching Sonic then begins to hoist him up a little by
grabbing his quils so he can look at the eyes of a dissappointed
warrior.
"Sonic..there is no time for you to be crying all over
yourself..we need you out there to show him we wont back down
without a fight!" it sounded harsh but it was the only way he
knew how to get him to snap out of it.

A torn-up looking amber hedgehog came up to the group from the
direction of the city, with a wound in her leg and her arm
almost broken, anger for Robotnik in her indigo eyes as she got
to the group. Yet, she too, had tears in her eyes; she had to
see her mother, who she hadn't seen in a long time, taken by the
SWATbots, and her father killed.. She saw Ty take down SWATbots
as she had escaped the ruins of Mobotropolis, and had gotten
grabbed twice by the SWATbots.. The results of escaping those
weren't good for neither side, for she destroyed the bots but
the bots managed to hurt her too.
"C-curse R-robotnik.... H-he ruined everything...." she growled
softly as if she were upset and sad at the same time, her brown
hair swaying a bit in whatever winds were left to blow upon the
area. She saw how upset everyone else was; Blaze shooting flames
into the sky, Sonic and a pink hedgehog crying, Soul trying his
best to console another pink hedgehog that had gotten attacked
by someone earlier in time... But then there was Sapphire
again.. she was trying to console her parents, as it appeared..
"But... we have to stick together..." she added softly as she
approached Sonic, sighing before gritting her teeth in pain due
to how much the wound -moderately large but mostly covered by
her pants- hurt...

Sonic left his arms limp as Amy cried into his chest he couldn't
bare to see her cry as he lightly placed his arm upon her back.
The sorrowful howl of the fiery wolf mixed with the destruction
of the jets streaking across the sky, made Sonic loose hope. He
shook his head refusing to even answer Sapphire usually her
unbreakable spirit and can do attitude were enough, but not this
time. Distraught Sonic was snapped out of his pity party as TY
pulled him towards his feet. He listened well to the words of
the wise warrior and replied his voice shaky and harsh. "No Ty
it's useless....he's beaten us. We've already lost. He's taken
the city killed or turned everyone." He looked to the torn up
Amber hedgehog approaching and he saw there were still people
who needed his help. "I'm not a soldier Ty. Fighting isn't my
job. You've got one point though. I can't just sit here feeling
sorry for myself. I'm a hero and my job is saving people at
least I can still do that. This fight is far beyond lost, but
there are people out there who need help." With that Sonic sped
off becoming a blue blur impossible to keep with. Suddenly the
blur snapped up Lori laying her across the ground as a medical
kit appeared beside. Soon the blur vanished down into the city
streaking down into the streets. Soon screaming citizens were
appearing behind the group of fallen heroes at lightning speeds.
The sick and injured one at a time were appearing beside Lori as
if from nowhere along with as many medical supplies the hedgehog
could find.
In time a few still standing guards and the Queen herself came
out of the streak of speed now joining the group. Sonic skidded
to a stop his image becoming a solid once again. He looked over
to his friends and comrades a look of despair in his eyes.
"Thats all I can do....If you want to endlessly peruse a loosing
battle a weapons warehouse is locked down on the south side of
the city."
