Species: Nomad jellyfish

Resides: She doesn’t stay in one location long. She is a
wanderer.
Alignment: Neutral good
Pets: Has a pet/best friend chao named Harmony. It is almost a
neutral swim type chao.

Personality:
Naomi is a curious little jellyfish. She wants to know what
things on the surface look like, how things work, and so on. She
doesn't know much about the surface, so she wants to know all
that she can about it.
Naomi is also very friendly. She actually wants to be friends
with as many people she can, or at least find a few really good
friends. A fun fact though about Naomi is that even though she
is so outgoing she can't look at people in the eyes when she
speaks. It's weird because she can look at someone when they're
talking, but when it's her turn she gets a uneasy feeling inside
when she looks at others so she just looks around. If she
happens to look at you in the eyes though when she speaks then
she feels safe with you, and trusts you with all her little
heart. So far she hasn't done it yet, but you never know what
could happen.
Next thing about Naomi is that she gets scared easily. Since she
has never seen or heard scary stories or scary things before she
freaks out because she believes they are real. Also the only
reason she doesn't want to talk to someone is if they look like
a scary person in her eyes. If they do then she'll probably hide
from them.
Another thing about Naomi is that she is really energetic. It
could be from the electricity from her tentacles or not, but
either way she gets excited and pepped up easily. She tends to
stumble more often when she gets so energetic, and tries to be
silly so she can play it off like it was supposed to happen. She
doesn't get discouraged if people laugh at her when she
stumbles. She knows it's probably funny and she even laughs
along.
Abilities/Attacks:

[li]She has aquatic respiration, which allows her to breathe on
both land and sea.[/li]
[li]She has electricity in her tentacles (her “hair”), but only
uses it when she feels she’s in danger (Ex. If someone was
holding her tightly she would use her tentacles to try to shock
them and let her go).[/li]
[li]Since she doesn’t know how to wield a weapon, she just uses
a thick medium sized driftwood stick she found (it’s big enough
to where she can just hold it in one hand).[/li]
[li]Harmony also helps Naomi by dropping things on the attacker,
or if she’s in really bad danger then it goes to find help.[/li]

Biography:
Naomi was born and raised in the underwater city of Meropis. She
lived with her mother, and her grandma didn’t like it that much.
Naomi’s mother would worry about every little thing when it came
to Naomi’s safety. It ended up to where Naomi wasn’t allowed to
leave Meropis, she ended up being homeschooled, and her mother
didn’t want her learning about what was going on in the world.
Her grandmother thought that this was too cautious and wanted
Naomi to live with them. Little did her grandma know that soon
Naomi would want the same thing.
After twelve years of dealing with her mother’s insane rules and
guidelines, Naomi got sick and tired of it all and decided to
talk to her about it. Of course it ended up in an argument, and
Naomi decided that she was going to live with her grandparent on
the other side of the city. Once she moved in at her
grandparents’ house she loved that she had more free will over
there, and she even learned a few things. Her grandmother taught
her how to cook, and how to play the ukulele. She even gave
Naomi one as a present for learning so quickly. Naomi even loved
hearing the stories her grandpa would tell her. Some were about
adventures he went on when he was younger. Like how he found a
huge thing called a ship that apparently wrecked not that far
away from the city and was filled with something called gold,
and he used that gold to help pay for their house and help
people that were called homeless get homes. She wished that one
day she’d go on her own adventure, but little did she realize
her wish was about to come true.
A few months later Naomi decided she should probably start
learning about what all was going on. Maybe there would be
something interesting on the channel her grandparents call the
news. She walked into the living room and sat on the couch
turning on the TV. When she did all the news was talking about
was something about how surface-walkers helped save the city.
She was confused when she heard this. What was a
“surface-walker”? What’s a surface? As the reporter continued
the TV showed a picture of the heroes that saved the city. She
quickly stumbled to grab the remote and paused the TV. After
pausing it she just tilted her head as she stared at the people
in the photo. At one point she got in the floor and stared
closer at the picture on the TV to figure out what was in it. As
she stared at the picture her grandpa walked in from behind and
sat on the couch, and asked her what was going on. When she
heard her grandfather’s voice she quickly turned her head to
face him and pointed at the picture. She asked him all sorts of
questions, like what in the world were these people?! Where were
their fins?! Why is the blue one spiky like a sea urchin?! What
are those things on their faces, and why do they have holes in
them?! Her grandpa was caught off guard by all the questions and
told her to slow down. As she calmed down she asked all of the
questions again, and her grandpa answered and explained his
answers to her.
After her grandpa answered all her questions she was still
confused. She had one more question that she forgot to ask him
and that question was what is a “surface-walker”? When she asked
him this he said it’s someone who walks on the surface. She then
asked him what the surface was, and her grandpa couldn’t believe
she didn’t know what the surface was. He couldn’t believe how
badly his daughter sheltered his granddaughter until now. After
taking a big sigh her grandfather told her everything he knew
about the surface. As he was telling her all this information
her eyes began to sparkle. She couldn’t believe how beautiful
and fun the surface sounded. Once her grandpa was done telling
her about the surface she knew that the surface was going to be
her big adventure. She stood up and told her grandpa this and he
chuckled. At first Naomi was starting to get heartbroken since
she thought he was making fun of her, but once he was done he
told her he and her grandma would help her prepare for her
journey.
When she was done getting prepared she hugged and kissed her
grandparents goodbye and headed off on her journey. Before she
left completely she headed off to the Eusebes Temple since she
had never been there before, and she wanted to see it before
leaving. When she got there she was a little tired. She decided
to sit under a thing that she thinks her grandpa called a tree
to rest for a little bit. As she sat under the thing called a
tree she decided to maybe play some music. She got her ukulele
out of her bag and started playing simple little tunes and later
started to sing to them. As she was doing this she noticed some
small creatures coming towards her. She was iffy at first, but
noticed that they were actually chao. She’d never seen chao
other than in books, so this made Naomi really happy. She
continued to sing and play her music, and at one point one chao
started singing along with her. However, it wasn't singing the
melody. The chao was sing harmony along with Naomi, and that
made her smile even bigger as she sang. Once she was done she
got up and gently picked up the chao that was singing with her,
and its dot changed into a heart. She decided then that this
chao was going to be her friend, and that she was going to name
it Harmony. After setting the chao back down she asked the chao
if it was okay for her to start calling it Harmony. The chao’s
dot changed into an exclamation point and it smiled clapping.
Naomi took this as a yes and smiled too. She then kneeled down
and asked the chao if it wanted to come with her on her journey
to the surface. Its dot changed into a question mark as it
thought for a moment. Later it changed into a heart and flew
next to Naomi. Naomi couldn’t believe it, and she was so happy
to have her first friend. Before her and Harmony left she wrote
in her journal then took some fruit from the tree and put them
in her bag. After that they headed on their big adventure to
explore the surface.
