A Time to Ponder

[[threads open for anyone to join..also
serves as an aftermath of the Breezie mini story arc]]
Its finally happened..him and the others had finally gained
public recognition for thier actions of saving the world..thier
quest for redemption was finally fulilled as the hearts of
millions had seemingly forgotten the world sized tragedy.
Naturally one should be proud of thier accomplishments as no
good deed goes unnoticed however something seems to be bothering
the blue streaked hybrid lately.
Standing alone silently on the sidewalk leaning against a street
light with his arms crossed and eyes closed he ignored passerbys
and onlookers for ten minutes tops currently not interested for
public attention for the time being. For some reason he couldnt
stop thinking about the rogue experiment the group had to
capture for the news reporter Breezie.
The thoughts of having to get your memories erased..being
depreived of your identity and the special bonds youve had with
those you care about ..then being sent out to do the same
mission over and over again for the rest of your life as a
mindless soldier made him feel sympathy for the poor mobian.
He thinks about the time he went AWOL from G.U.N and wonders
what would have happened if his formor partner Lyric
successfully captured him and sent him back under the hands of
his superiors...would he lose his memories too? Why would anyone
be heartless enough to do something like that to
someone..unfortunatly that cold spec of darkness happens to take
the form of a silver tongued woman with a knack for persuasion.
With this painful knowledge clouding his mind he regrets having
to sign that contract and even associates himself with that vile
witch of a reporter..knowing he just ended someones life
psycologically he was starting to question having all of this
fame and fortune was even worth it to begin with.
[Shadow the Hedgehog...no matter what they do to you..just know
that you were a good man fighting for a cause..we will get you
outta there one day and help you find a new purpose..]he opened
up his eyelids revealing a pair of jade colored eyes filled with
guilt and ferocity.

On the other side of the street a cyan hedgehog stood and there
he saw a familiar figure leaning against the street light. He
looked closely at this figure and realized that it was his
frosty hybrid friend "Ty" How long has it been since he last saw
his friends? With his eagerness to approach the hybrid he
crossed to the other side of the street as soon as the light
went red. Soul waved at the burly hybrid "Yo!...Hey dude it's
great to see ya...you know me and Sakura saw you guys on the
news the other day...so what's up?" he asked. He looked at the
hybrid's stern expression as if something was bothering him
"Something wrong?" he asked again.

"Hm?..Oh! hey Soul..its been a while..I havent seen you around
since the Mist Lock invasion...but its nothing really...its just
something bad we did...well..not exactly bad...but its hard to
explain.." He rubbed the back of his head with a smile. He was
far too focused on the matter for him to sorta space out and
forget what was going on around him..but luckly one of his
trusted allies he has come to know for a year has brought him
out of his serious demeaner almost entirely.
"How should I put this...we were told to go bring in a dangerous
experiment thats terrorizing the people.and we had finished the
job....but for some reason..I feel terrible for doing it..like I
know its wrong somehow.." he replied to the cyan hedgehog with
his ears dropping.

" You think it's wrong cause you almost ended up that way....am
i right?" came a female voice as a red hair hedgewolf dropped
onto the light pole Ty and Soul were standing under. The hunter
pulled down his scarf and leaped down to greet the two. It was
Blaze but his tone was that of Veira's as his eyes currently
were blue. " You've been at this since we got back from that
assignment. t must really get under your skin." Veira replied as
she crossed her arms a bit before nodding to Soul.

Soon a large limo pulled up beside the street corner the boys
were talking at. A rather regal rabbit stepped out and opened
the back door, Breezie stepped out with perfectly placed hair
and well fitted suit. Her high heels clacked against the
pavement as she walked down towards the group. Before addressing
them she turned back to her driver and held up five fingers.
This was to signify to be back with the car in five minuets. The
rabbit closed the doors and speeds off with the limo leaving
Breezie near her employees. She had a smug smile on her face as
she addressed Blaze and TY. "Hello boys. How are we doing today?
If I may borrow a moment of your time. I believe I have
something you'll be interested in."

"I guess you could say that..when the time comes ill find a way
to set him free..though I cant do it without a plan." he replied
without once batting an eye towards Veira. The timely arrival of
Breezie temperarly suppressed his feelings of guilt just so he
could set his goal into motion. Thier "boss" pulled up in a
stylish limo with a deviish smug to boot clearly not afraid to
show off just how much money he has in her big fat wallet.
"Im fine..so whats the scoop this time?" the timely arrival of
Breezie temperarly suppressed his feelings of guilt so he could
focus on thier next assignment.

Upon hearing peculiar voice Soul looked up and saw the fiery
hybrid Blaze, as he jumped from the pole. The cyan hedgehog
sensed another presence in him and realized that it was his
spiritual partner Veira, in return he nodded back at the fiery
hybrid. Soul understood what their current situation was based
on they had stated "--and you can't do it without us--we're here
to help." he added to Ty's statement as he gave a gentle pat on
the back.
Soul was astonished to see a fancy limo parking nearby the
group...now who could that be? The hedgehog saw well dressed
businesswoman as she stepped out from the vehicle and seems like
she knows the two hybrid friends. "Excuse me miss...May I ask
who you are?" he asked politely to the fine woman.

"Oh.....you don't know? Well this is delicious." She stated
placing two fingers over her lips. Breezie pouted her lower lip
asking. "Did you four have a fight? Oh how cute. In all honesty
I don't know how you three can stand that blue egomaniac."
Breezie looked to Soul and placed her hand above her bust. "How
rude of me. I'm Breezie owner and CEO of TBC. The hottest
channel on TV." She then placed her arms around both Blaze & TY.
"How would you two handsome lads like to stick it to Robotnik
and take Sonic down a peg?" She asked as she pulled a cigarette
from her blouse. She placed her cigarette in her mouth and
attempted to light it. The lighter clicked weakly producing
sparks only to click providing no flame. Making an annoyed grunt
she tried again and still nothing. She dropped the lighter and
raised an eyebrow to Blaze. "Would you be a dear?" She asked.

Seeing as Blaze wasn't in control, Veira saw no problem in
lighting the cigar for her boss. A smll raised eyebrow was all
she gave as she and Ty ere offered a chance on taking on
Robotnik and hurting Sonic's ego a bit. She was up for putting
down Robotnik because that as just naturl of her. Hurting
Sonic's ego however.....well Blaze might find it a bit rude but
then again.... She racked her brain a bit before sighing.
" Where and when?" she asked as she looked at the hedgehog.

After the incident at the chemical plant Lp573 had disappeared.
However, he was still around, just staying in hiding like he
always did.
Today he was going to look for a meeting point he had heard
about in an intercepted phone call.
That didn't turn up anything so now he was on his way back, out
of town.
On his way though he managed to overhear parts of a conversation
mentioning bringing Sonic down a few peg by taking down
Robotnik.
To Lp taking down Sonic semi-fitted into his main programming,
seeing as they weren't going to kill him. However, taking
Robotnik down was something he could get behind.
Tracking the sound he managed to locate a small group. Upon
scanning and referring to his personal databank Ty and Blaze was
recognized.
[font=courier]"Targets recognized as former mission partners...
trust level: acceptable,"[/font] he stated as he came into view,
[font=courier]"Referring unrecognized targets to official
database."[/font]
Soul and Breezie was covered by a red light as Lp started to do
his scanning procedure, after a little while the light stopped
and the robot started to talk again.
[font=courier]"SLICC scan complete, targets identified as CEO of
TBC and..."[/font] the robot stopped as it looked at Soul unsure
of what say, [font=courier]"...citizen of Metropolis."[/font]
With the "introduction" out of the way Lp573 made his intention
known.
[font=courier]"Audio sensors intercepted parts of your verbal
communication, overheard parts about taking on Robotnik and
bringing Sonic down a peg. Requesting confirmation,"[/font] the
robot stopped, but not for long as it stated its reasons,
[font=courier]"taking Sonic down a peg semi-compatible with
mission objectives. Robotnik marked as target, would love to
bring him down."[/font]
It looked at the others, awaiting response.
(I assume this is after the thread in the industrial part of
town that was deleted sometime last month, if not, tell me and
i'll adapt to fit the narrative)
