The Emerald, and the Sapphire. (Galgalon and Sapphire Only)

It was evening in Mobotropolis. The night was cold and crisp,
and very few were out and about this night. The streets were
relatively empty, which meant it was the perfect time for
Galgalon to wander about. His eyes glew blue with which he
scanned most things be them people, buildings, or any technology
he could find. He was on the hunt. The fight with Le Gerant
proved that he was not nearly strong enough to take on much more
than robots smaller than himself. He needed to upgrade and
adapt to whatever new obstacles may come his way.
Each step of his caused a soft clank when it connected with the
ground. He hadn't been in mobotropolis. He had no idea where
anything was, and as such looked rather lost, and out of place
when he ended up in the park. He stopped when his foot met
grass. He looked down, then lifted up his foot to look where he
stepped. He was silent as he looked over the park. So... this
is what the world looked like before its utter destruction. He
would slowly make his way about the park, before stopping at a
tree. He looked up to it, staring up into its branches, before
placing a hand on the tree's bark. This was all so new. It
would take a while to process this information.

The soft clanking of Galgalon's footsteps attracted the
attention of a certain young blue hedgehog. She had only so far
managed to get in a few minutes to about an hour or so of sleep
since they had all gotten back from Le Garant's planet eating
ship.
She needed more sleep too, but this energetic and bubbly little
hedgehog just couldn't stay still, there was still a little time
left to be doing something! A very little amount but that was
enough for her, and she had a lot to do!
She was speeding around the streets of Mobotropolis, the dimly
lit street lights flashing by her in a blur as she rushed past,
her legs a rainbow of colour and her blue fur and hair leaving a
small streak of blue in her trail.
She saw the park up ahead and something with glowing blue eyes
there, she tilted her head, and let curiosity get the best of
her, heading towards it.
Now for those who knew her, knew that Sapphire was not the best
at stopping after rushing about, and getting better at it was
something she needed to do, soon.
She dug her heels back, skidding, hoping to stop or at least
slow down before reaching the robot to avoid collision, but she
wasn't doing too well.
At least she noticed she wasn't going to stop in time, she dove
forward and went straight under the robot's legs, stopping
halfway underneath Him.
She rolled over so that she was on her back, facing up at the
robot before smiling and shooting him a small wave, "Hey there!"
She said rather loudly, but happily. She couldn't stop her ears
from lowering slightly however, robots did tend to freak her out
a little bit, she kicked her feet, pushing herself along the
ground until she had fully gone across the ground underneath the
robot, before flipping herself up onto her feet and looking up
at the metal mobian.
Despite him being a robot and all, she held out a hand for him
to shake, she remembered seeing him while they where battling Le
Garant. She had to introduce herself. Not to mention, Sapphire
was one to treat beings whom most considered inferior as if they
where equal, because really, she believed they all where.

The Adaptoid heard her approach, quickly turning his head to see
her. His eyes change from Blue, to red as he stopped scanning.
When she flew beneath his feet and practically flopped on the
floor he turned to face her. When she spoke he tilted his head.
"Greetings." He said. "Statement: That was quite a fall. Query:
Are you injured?" When the hand was offered he seemed a tad bit
confused for a moment, before he gently took her hand. As
expected his body was frigid cold. There was not a thing warm
about it. He shook it before letting go of her hand. "Query: Do
you know where I can find Upgrades? Statement: If I am to
protect Mobius, I need Technology. The battle with the snake
Proved that I am not as strong as I should be, if I am to
destroy Dr. Robotnik."
He looked her over, now that he had the chance. She seemed to
look considerably like sonic. Which wasn't a bad thing. He would
offer his hand to help her up. "Query: Who are you?"

Sapphire smiled when the Robot said 'Greetings', most robots she
had met before had never really replied back to a casual
'hello'.
She tilted her head though as he said announced what kinda of
comment he was making before speaking, like 'Statement' and
'Query'. She shook her head, "I'm fine, I do that a lot. Thank
you for asking though Mr. Robot!" She smiled even more so when
he shook her hand, his body was cold, and frigid but she
expected that.
"Upgrades?" She questioned, before laughing softly "You're not
the only one trying to keep Mobius safe" She said, as she took
hold of his hands again, smiled and then gave him a light nod.
"Destory Robotnik?" She released his hands and put a finger to
her lips, thinking for a few moments. Was destroying Robotnik
wise? Did it make them as bad as he was? Not quiiiite. It helped
many, many people. The real question was that if 'destroying'
him was the best move to execute on him. Was that really the
only answer?
Sapphire looked back to the green robot, "Well, I do have a
great pal who's good with tech, maybe he could help you out with
those upgrades?" She said, before looking down at and kicking
her boots, "Unfortunately, I'll need to find him first..." She
said softly.
The hedgehog was then asked who she was, she smiled, taking his
offered hand, "I'm Sapphire, Sapphire the Hedgehog" she said
shaking his hands now, "and who might you be Mr. Robot?"

He tilted his head as she spoke. He knew there were others, but
he believed it would be better for himself to work alone.
Didn't want to jeopardize the future more than it already was.
He nodded when she spoke of Destroying Robotnik. " Statement: It
is the only way to prevent the future from being destroyed." He
said. "I am from the Future. It is bleak." However when she
mentioned she knew someone who could aid with Upgrades he
quickly nodded. "Statement: I would greatly appreciate if you
could find them and bring them to me." His turbine spun for a
moment before shaking his head.
"Statement: Sapphire. I do not have you in my database. You
are not listed under anything." He said. He would looked down
to his hand as she shook it before looking back up to her as she
asked for his name. "Introduction:I am Galgalon. I am an
Adaptoid. Built to upgrade and learn." He looked her up and
down. "Observation: You look like the Hero, Sonic the Hedgehog."

When he mentioned the future her blue fur pricked up,
"F..future?" She questioned, when he announced he was from the
future, she managed to relax a little bit, putting a hand behind
her head, "You're not the only one here trying to help the
future either, pal".
She then nodded, " Like I said, it may take a bit, but as soon
as I find him, I'll bring him to you and see what he can do to
help" She smiled.
"I'm not in your database? That's because I'm not yet born in
this time Galgalon.. I..if that's where you get your data from?"
She bit her lower lip, and looked to his eyes as he stated his
observation "I look like Sonic?" She looked down, well the blue
fur was a pointer. "That could be because he's my dad, Galgalon,
in my timeline anyhow" She stated, as she ran on the spot and
blurred her boots up, "Lucky enough to somehow get a bit of that
amazing speed of his too.. Not as fast of him of course, no one
is, he's the 'fastest thing alive' for a reason" She laughed she
digging up her heels into the dirt, "But still, I'm very
grateful for the speed I have, nothing feels better then the
wind rushing by your face as you run free, yanno?" She paused,
looking down at her striped boots, "Not something you get to do
very often if you're not allowed that freedom part though" She
paused, kicking her feet, "Then it's more like a bird in a cage,
unable to fly because it can only beat it's wings against cold
metal bars.."

He tilted his head as she spoke. " Statement: Your Time line?
You are also from the future?" He asked. " Were you one of the
last survivors of the final assault? When Robotnik slayed the
last of the Heroes, and killed the remaining mobians? How did
you escape utter destruction?" Unknown to him, he wasn't from
this dimension. Instead he was from Mobius Prime. A
malfunction in his time machine flung him into this universe.
"I believed that I was Mobius' only hope for survival. It is why
I was built...." He looked to his hand for a moment then shook
his head. " Why I am a weapon."
He watched her feet then nodded. "Statement: I can fly and go
at near super sonic speeds. I am not fast enough to break the
sound Barrier. But I do not feel. So I cannot say I understand
your Metaphor."
He took a step towards her and looked her up and down.
"Directive: If you are the last survivor from the attack. Then
it is my duty to protect you at all costs." He said.

Sapphire nodded to the green robot, "That's right, I am from the
future" She smiled.
She looked a bit horrified hearing about Robotnik slaying the
last of the heroes and such however, covering her mouth with her
hands, she shook her head, "I..I...- N.. No Robotnik has
murdered many many people in my timeline and still is, but he
hasn't gotten his hands on the Heroes, not all of them anyway"
She said softly, boy did she hope he wasn't from a few years
ahead of her in the future...
"We must be from different timelines maybe? Or dimensions even?
You know like how there's the anti-Mobius with all our
Anti-selves and such" She bit her lower lip.
She looked rather sad as he looked at his hands and shook his
head, why was he a weapon? "You don't have to be a weapon if you
don't want to, his is a different time and all, a different life
and everything" She gently took hold of his hands again and
smiled warmly, she would be lying if she herself hadn't been
trying to live life as best as she could the moment she was in
this time.
Hearing him say he couldn't feel made her ears lower, she wished
there was someway she could help with that, so that the robot
could feel things like the freedom of the wind rushing against
your face. But alas, she did not know of anyway to help with
that just yet.
Sapphire looked confused as he stood closer and looked her up
and down, she smiled and put her hands on her cheeks, "Awww,
that's really sweet Galgalon, but you don't have to do that" She
laughed lightly, as she couldn't help but smile brightly at the
metal mobian. "I don't recall being a survivor of that kind of
attack, so I think we've got a little mix up here" She put her
hands on her hips, "That, and I can take care of myself, if
trouble calls my piko hammer is here to help me squash it out"
She giggled.

He listened to her speak and nodded. " Theory: There are
multiple time lines in the future. Nothing is Absolute. But my
Programming is. Robotnik must be destroyed to Protect the
Future." He said. When she spoke about not being a weapon he
shook his head. "Statement: I would prefer that things didn't
come to Violence. I am hesitant to Turn the weapons inside of me
on Organics." He looked over his hands, then looked to her. "
You were in the ship. You saw just how much damage I did to the
Captain."
He tilted his head as she put her hands to her cheeks, before he
nodded. " Understood. Statement: A hammer will only do so much
against something made of Metal." He looked her over once more,
his eyes glowing blue as he scanned her. He held out his hand
to her. "Query: What is your age?" He asked. "Observation: You
look quite young." He put a hand to his chest. "Statement: I
have only been active for three days. But I took fifty years to
build."

Sapphire nodded, he had a point in his theory, nothing is
absolute.
She then pondered one of his points, 'Robotnik must be destroyed
to Protect the Future'. Was it true? Maybe the overlander had
been given far too many chances to change and he just wasn't
going to change his ways to do some good for once. The little
hedgehog frowned slightly, putting a finger to her lips, she
didn't know quite what to think on the doctor.
She looked back to Galgalon at the talk of his weapons, she
nodded again, "I don't like hurting others either" She smiled,
she could relate to him there.
"A hammer will only do so much against something metal, yes,
that's true, but a Piko Hammer can do quite a bit more damage
against metal and other targets".
She watched his eyes glow blue, and noticed that he was scanning
her, she tilted her head slightly, confused as to why, but he
must've had some reason. "My age? I'm fifteen years old now" She
replied to his question, looking aside for a few seconds before
looking back again, her eyes wide being slightly, "Only three
days? You've only seen this beautiful world for three days?" She
put her own hands to her chest, over her heart "What have you
done in your active days so far? Aside from battle with Le
Gérant, have you seen any sights? There is so much to see!" She
nodded enthusiastically, before thinking back to her past three
days.
Running, non stop on a treadmill to keep the planet alive.
Nothing to see aside from that speed demanding screen and Sonic
when he came in.
