Welcome to the Thunderdome

A massive ancient arena once used the the echnidia's of old
stood on the edge of Angel island. Sonic stood atop a nearby
ruined pillar overlooking the arena. He blasted off streaking
across the forest at high speed excited to see what the new
ruins hold. Once entering through the archway it was like being
transported through time as Sonic could have sworn he could
still hear the crowd cheering. He skidded to a stop placing his
fingers on the old stone walls looking around at the new
landmark.

On the other side of the island, Pyro was flying around,
carrying Ace on another travel across continents. Ace was
getting tired and Pyro was getting bothered by carrying him for
so long at a time, so they needed a place to land pretty soon.
After landing, they went to sleep...
A few hours later, the red eagle woke up, looking around before
finally realizing where he was, the Angel Island. He looked to
Ace, shaking him to try and get him up, but he wouldn't wake.
With nothing better to do, he got up stretching, and decided to
go search the island for anything interesting.
Quickly, Pyro came upon some ruins, where there was an archway
to enter. He goes through, wondering what was happening in
there... and he began to hear cheering as well. "Strange...",
Pyro thought as he went further into the ruins, looking along
the walls. Without many distractions, he would walk through
another arch that seemed like an exit. Upon going through, he
found himself on the very edge of an arena, where many echidnas
were cheering and screaming... Pyro frowned. Did he stumble upon
an ancient gladiator fight... thing?

As the ghosts of the past seemed to roar to life as a cheering
crowed Sonic seemed surprised. The only person he knew was alive
here was Knuckles, he was starting to wonder if his friend had
an extended family. Before long the chief of the restless
spirits arose and addressed the audience. "My dear people it
seems the fates have brought us today two champions. Listen well
mortals you two will do battle. Refuse and you'll be trapped
here with us in time. Cooperate and you'll both be freed. You
must understand years of being stuck here is dreadfully boring
so it's these short bursts of excitement we live for." The chief
told the two before sitting back down.
Sonic looked across at his opponent and shook his head. "Oh boy
did you pull the short straw. Do you even know who you're talkin
to? I'm kind of a big deal. Sonic Hedgehog greatest hero on
Mobius, Fastest thing alive ring any bells?" He said as his
large ego begun to flare up.

Pyro looked to Sonic, rolling his eyes in annoyance before
getting into fighting stance.
He didn't want to fight, but he felt there was no choice, as if
he was trapped until someone won this battle. Pyro shook his
head, "Don't get penisy kid, just because you're famous doesn't
mean I can't knock you down a peg. I'm going to have to if I
want to get out of here, it seems." His wings were up, fists
made as he got light on his shoes. He looked up at the sun,
closing his eyes for a bit as he let the warmth enter his
core... soon he would begin gaining energy from it.
"Not sure how this thing works, but I always let my opponent
have the first move.", Pyro said, putting his arms down.
"Make it count."

Sonic smiled and started to stretch slowly pushing his hands
down onto his legs when he was ready he punched his fist into an
open palm and a large horn sounded over the stadium. "Like the
big guy said. Regardless of who wins we both get out of here. So
let's put on a show for em. Also try not to feel too bad when I
stomp you into the ground."
Sonic rushes towards the other fighter as high speeds instead of
launching a punch he slides under his legs and attempts to trip
him up with a swift slide kick.

Pyro saw the attack coming, but it was too late for him to react
as he fell over, "Gah! That was cheap!"
He rolled away, seeing a small bruise just above his feet. He
looked back to Sonic, jumping back at Sonic with an attack in
mind. "But I'm cheaper!"
"Pyroboom!"
Suddenly, from Pyro held his arms out as a flame was forced to
be released from his center, causing a spherical explosion of
flames to grow and extend five feet from his body. It was a
little difficult for him to jump at Sonic due to what Sonic did
against his legs, but that wasn't the attack at least. It was
the explosion.

The fiery explosion caught Sonic off guard he wasn't ready to
deal with a pyro-kinetic at the moment. The flames sent him
flying with the force of the explosion sent him hurtling out of
the ring and out into the forest. Soon the ghosts faded away and
the barriers dispelled. Sonic awoke in the woods a little
distance away holding his head. "Ugh what hit me? Must have hit
another tree." He told himself chocking the entire experience up
to being a wild dream. He soon took off into the woods looking
for a new experience.
(Pyro:20 Sonic:6 Pyro hits CRITICAL! If a player rolls a twenty
on their attack they deliver a critical blow and they instantly
win. Counters are not included. SONIC KO'D)
