Endangerment (Part II of Flame and Rain) (Tamasha and Ajalori)

sorry but I decided to do that..
Everyone under the Hospital list put your not-dialogue text as
teal, other list does blue. This lasts until Lori, Ajax, and
Tasha get to the hospital. This is the starter for both parts.))
Lori sighed as she walked with the other two, which were Tasha,
the beige cat, and Ajax, Tasha's friend who was a light brown
lynx.
Someone who had once helped save her life had his own in the
balance somehow, for he had an untreated bullet wound for weeks,
and nobody knew until today. She was still shocked at how
foolish the dark brown hedgehog, Tamwyn, was by not telling them
sooner of his wounds... and besides... how long had he fought
whoever had hurt him? A month, maybe two?
It didn't matter, since Tamwyn needed help. Just about 30
minutes ago, they'd put Tamwyn in an ambulance, and had started
in the direction of the hospital. And yet they were only
halfway.
"We are taking too long..." the amber hedgehog said, walking a
bit faster, and biting her lip as she fiddled with Tamwyn's
journal, which she grabbed while Tamwyn had been with them.
Who knows what was happening at the hospital with Tamwyn? He
could have a bad staph infection in his neckfor all they know!
Or he could have some sort of poisoning in his system!
She was full of worry, and she needs to try and stop this wound
of Tamwi's from killing him if it could do that....
As for Tamwyn, he was barely conscious once the ambulance got to
the hospital, for his wound had begun to throb harshly enough to
make him exhausted. But he knew he needed to get the help... his
foolishness had gotten him nowhere except to this point, one of
which he didn't want, but had to do it to make Tasha not worry
about him.
And yet, in compliance with his apparent bad luck, it got
revealed... and it was, and almost is, too late...
He was carried off the ambulance, and heading to the emergency
room to examine the wound and, if it came to it, prepare him for
a surgery. He kept his eyes closed, almost asleep thanks to
exhaustion the wound caused him. [color=blue]"Please hurry...
Tasha..." he murmured as he was rolled into a room, awaiting for
someone as well as Tasha, Ajax, and Lori.[/color]

Natasha was walking at the same speed as Lori, although she felt
like she could have picked her up and ran faster. She knew Ajax
would probably do the same, and it didn't help when Lori
complained about how long they were taking. She sighed before
running ahead; "[color=beige]Forget the walking, you don't walk
when there's an emergency! Let's go!" She simply started
running, at a decent pace, and left the two behind; she was not
going to simply just wait and hope that Tamwyn would be fine.
Ajax shook his head at the complain Lori had made; walking only
got you somewhere so fast. Then, Natasha started running, and he
decided it only made sense to do the same; only, he wanted to
make sure Lori could keep up. "Pardon me, Lori, but Tasha is
right; we need to get moving." He picked her up and hoisted her
onto his back, jogging just behind Natasha; they were going
faster at least, twice the speed of 'walking'.[/color]

"Hey!" When Ajax had picked the amber hedgehog up, she kicked
the lynx angrily, and landed on the ground. "I know not to
complain right now," she said to both to answer them, and began
jogging past both of them upon getting up again, then flat-out
running, bumping into a few people, muttering a few apologies,
and eventually reaching an intersection and running after the
road was somewhat cleared, before stopping in front of the
hospital doors to the emergency room. The other two would
probably need to catch up, but they would find her waiting for
them at the ER doors.

Ajax and Natasha didn't have any trouble keeping up with her; in
truth, they were actually running slower than they wanted to
when Lori 'took the lead'. Although Natasha hadn't noticed, Ajax
had mumbled to himself after getting kicked. Heaven forbid he
wanted to make sure they were going as fast as possible. Natasha
simply ran to the front, quickly asking where Tamwyn was. She
didn't want to leave him in this time of need; Ajax didn't
either, but he still hurt a little too much to think straight.
She had no clue whether or not they'd be allowed to see him;
definitely not if they were operating.

Upon their arrival, someone was already waiting for the three of
them.
"Thank Chaos you've arrived! You are needed in room 134...
Tamwyn is barely awake, but he is able to talk to you. Of
course, he'll need a full examination, but I can guess Ajax here
can be able to handle that," said an unknown nurse of sorts,
motioning them down a hallway as she led them to Tamwyn's
temporary room- at least until they could know whether to
operate or not on the dark brown hedgehog. When they would get
to said room, they would find Rose there in front of the door,
one hand clutching her purple pendant in nervousness.

Ajax was somewhat surprised; how did the nurse know his name?..
Better yet, how did anyone besides Lori and Natasha know that he
had medical training? "Thank you," he said simply as he nodded
and went forward, leading. It didn't matter; what mattered was
Tamwyn's well-being. When they reached the room and found Rose
nervously standing outside the door, his ear twitched. "Rose; I
guess you heard about Tamwyn?.."
Having followed closely, Natasha gave Rose little more than a
concerned glance before opening the door to check on Tamwyn.
"Tamwyn?.. You okay, buddy?.." She placed her hand gently on his
cheek, hoping he'd pull through.

(uuugggh another three-way post!)
"Yes, thank you," she said to the nurse, also surprised that the
person had knowledge of Ajax's medicinal training. But upon
seeing Rose, Lori murmured, "Mother.... I guess you must have
heard about this... I'm guessing you must have known before
today...?" After that, she went in after Tasha, and found a
almost-asleep Tamwyn laying there, his hands folded. His deep
blue eyes then half-opened up, looking towards the amber
hedgehog and Tasha now.
As for the crimson hedgehog, Rose felt relieved when the other
three arrived. Then, to answer Ajax and Lori's questions, she
answered, " No, my amber child...to be honest, I actually was
the one to have called the ambulance. I was in the park earlier,
but I was wearing different attire than I normally do. And when
they got him here, he asked for me to wait here at the door for
you three.
Tamwyn is resting for a bit; we're still waiting for him to be
examined, whether someone else or Ajax will do it..."
And when he heard the door open, a sleepy-feeling Tamwyn slowly
opened his eyes, and saw Tasha touching his cheek, which was
currently burning up, to Tasha's surprise. Then Lori followed,
and he also heard Tasha's small question. From him came a
sleepy-sounding answer; "H-hey, Tasha... Lori, and Ajax.....
just like... you promised.... but.... will I be okay.... Ajax?"
he asked very slowly, not moving at all. He blinked very slowly,
trying to lift his head to try and nuzzle Tasha's hand. "I'm so
sorry.... I'll try my best to.... get through this..... remember
that poem or whatever...?
Hey you... if you had the ears that I have...
then I would sing you a song from my heart...
but I just wonder.... if you'd hear me?
Hey you... if you had the heart that I have...
then I would flood you with all of my love...
but I wonder... if you'd feel me?
ngghh...." he said weakly, closing his eyes again as more
migraines attacked his mind for a moment. His arms were too
heavy to lift for him, but he furrowed his brow for a moment,
and just as quickly as they had come, the painful migraines went
away. "S-sorry..." he added, causing the Andalins to worry, both
of them.

"They still haven't even examined him yet?!" Hearing that made
Ajax's face grow red; what kind of medical establishment was
this, that they would not examine someone in critical condition?
That's when he thought about the nurse from before; had Rose
been expecting them, thinking that Ajax should be the one to
operate on him if needed? "Alright... There isn't enough time to
do a full pre-op examination. Tell them to get their equipment
ready; I'll deal with this alone if I have to. Scalpels,
sponges, anti-bacterial solutions; the works, I'll need
everything. An infection from a bullet wound can easily be
lethal, especially in such a sensitive location..." He held his
hand against his head, sighing in frustration; at least this was
an area of expertise for him.
Natasha smiled weakly at Tamwyn as he tried to nuzzle against
her hand. "Don't worry, Tamwyn; Ajax has dealt with stuff like
this before. You're gonna be fine... You have to..."

"I'll go tell them," Lori said, her tone one she'd only used a
year ago; one of a feeling of destruction upon oneself. She
walked out of the room swiftly, but if one looked carefully,
they'd see that Lori was feeling quite useless somehow, and that
she felt like she was being destroyed. Her spikes somehow looked
as if they were spiked up, and they might have noticed that her
irises looked... more purple than indigo or even blue, and that
her fur color looked darker than before.
"Look, that is just what they told me," Rose answered to Ajax's
frustration. "It is not my fault they didn't examine him yet....
but I have a bad feeling about what we'll see.... I am unsure if
Tamwyn will survive or not..."
"I-I'm trying.... I know I must...." he answered, ceasing
movement again. Tamwyn knew well of Ajax's worry for him, but he
knew he had to survive. The dark brown hedgehog closed his eyes
again, exhausted still.

Ajax closed his eyes. "If they give me the equipment, this will
be no problem. Bullet wounds like this were common in my work,
and this is no different. The only problem will be removing the
infection completely; if we can't do that, then it might take
him a few weeks to get better... Let's get the anesthesia
ready..." He moved a couple pieces of equipment around, quickly
having an injector ready; he squeezed Tamwyn's arm a little to
reveal the veins, then quickly inserted it and started using the
anesthesia mix; it was lucky the hospital at least had this much
ready for use. "Tamwyn, I need you to relax, and let the
anesthesia do it's work. You'll be fine, okay?" The hedgehog
would quickly feel himself getting drowsy; he wasn't going to be
missing out on any sleep.
Natasha followed Lori, wanting to help. She noticed Lori's
somewhat depressing mood and looked to her concernedly. "Lori,
there isn't a whole lot either of us can do right now; but, hey,
if we do what we're asked to, maybe we'll make the process a
little shorter, a little less painful. Every little bit counts,
you know?" She tried to comfort her, placing a hand on her
shoulder gently and smiling somewhat weakly.
