Silver: Cuffed

It was a beautiful day in the present day of Eagleton Square, a
small town many miles away from Mobotropolis. The art nouveau
architecture with its vines of leaves rose above the residents
with their spiky steeples, funneling the soft wind so that it
lightly gusted through the trees' limbs. For many, this was a
day of relaxation, to have a drink of coffee at a local café as
the children run around playing. However,for one silver-white
hedgehog, it is a day for work. The golden-eyed hedgehog with
spiky hair and glowing cyan cuffs trudged around the square,
holding what looked to be a futuristic device in his hand,
holding it out as if it were a radar of some kind. He kept
mumbling incoherently to himself as he paced hunched over all
over town, earning some judging sideways glances from the
locals. Who was this strange hedgehog, and what was he doing in
their seemingly peaceful square?

Ajax was one of the many giving the hedgehog an odd look,
although his was more curiosity than anything else. He had been
looking through the smaller towns and settlements, making his
rounds as he normally would, but this one had caught something
interesting. After all, it didn't exactly make sense for some
random person to be shuffling about a quiet town with an
extremely advanced looking piece of equipment.
Needless to say, Ajax was following him; he was keeping his
distance, but the strange hedgehog never escaped his gaze. What
was he doing, anyway?

On this beautiful day, another odd sight was to beheld outside
one of the coffee shops. An older looking black desktop PC was
sitting plugged into an outdoor outlet on a table. And anyone
who passed it felt like they were being watched, like the green
light above the power button was following them. Though this
wasn't just a feeling, they were in fact being watched as this
wasn't an ordinary PC. Of course a few went up to this strange
out-of-place object, only to get a disc shot at them until they
ran off.
However, when this silver-white hedgehog passed by, this strange
PC turned into binary code and reformed as a male purple
hedgehog sitting on the table where the tower of the PC had once
been. "Watch are ya doing there, kid?" he asked, his voice deep
and kind of creepy, he glanced at the lynx a good distance
behind him. "Also you got a stalker," he whispered to him,
gesturing to the lynx.

"G-Gah!"
Now shaken out of his intense concentration, the silver-white
hedgehog gasped in surprise, fumbling with the device in his
hand but then clutched it to his chest for security. He
nervously glanced up at the male purple stranger, feeling weary
without his lavender feline companion. "Erm, n-nothing important
that you need to know," the hedgehog replied defensively, though
still a bit shaken. Once the stranger mentioned about supposed
stalker, he whipped his head around in alarm, holding out a free
hand as if he was going to signal a "stopping" motion, but
little did the others know that it was his attack stance to
attack people with his special but currently limited powers.

That was an odd thing to see him do; not the freaking out about
the AI that just appeared in front of him, but whipping around
with that sort of motion. Ajax froze, getting low and keeping
his ears flattened against his head; he wasn't wanting to cause
any trouble. He peeked up from behind some trash cans slowly,
eyes quickly jumping from point to point to make sure no-one
else was going to bother him yet. The fact that the strange AI
had made a point to alert the hedgehog to his presence as if he
was planning on attacking him was bad enough.

Next to the table that the PC was on was a MacBook Pro, seeming
to just sit there. Anyone who tried to pick her up got shocked
enough to release it. Though the it opened when the young
hedgehog came by, only to disappear as transparent codes and
reform as a female hedgehog when the PC made itself known.
"Must you always scare the poor lifeforms?" she asked the male.
She crossed her arms, telling the young hedgehog, "please ignore
the obsolete idiot." She raised an eyebrow at the hedgehog's
stance. "If that's an attack stance you're balance could easily
be thrown off with a swift kick to the back of your knee," she
stated, getting up from the table, "Straighten up, you look more
scared than threatening."

Since his supposed "stalker" seemed to have vanished, Silver did
not spot the brown guy hide behind some trash cans, but with the
new arrival of the light female, he turned his attention back to
her instead, snapping out of his usual fighting stance. "Oh no,
ma'am, it's actually a pretty effective stance for me. Though I
guess I can see what you mean..." He sweatdropped a bit as he
scratched behind his head, the other hand still clutching onto
the futuristic beeping device to his chest. "Thanks for the
advice. To be frank though, I don't know you so I don't know if
I should trust you guys, though I would love to. My friend
usually tells me to be cautious around strangers..." Chuckling
lightly, it sounded a bit forlorn at the end of it,
unconsciously tug tightening his grip upon that device of his.

"I don't know about my companion here but you may trust me with
anything," she stated, holding out a hand, "I am known as
Juranius MacPro, you may call me Jury if you wish." Jury locked
eyes with him before stating, "I believe that shaking hands is
considered a greeting among lifeforms, and will makes us
strangers no more." She had no need to feel threatened by the
young hedgehog and therefore felt relatively safe.

"Hey!" exclaimed the male, crossing his arms, "I know I'm named
after that one guy but sheesh I'm not him." He turned to the
young hedgehog, and said "Don't listen to her, I can be trusted
with your life if you like. I'm Mephiles the Dark Computer from
Dungeon Base 220 Mach 2, but you can call me Mephy for short."
With that Mephy hopped of the table, putting a hand under his
chin. "So kid, ya got a name or what?" he asked, tone
completely friendly.

Hearing their calm and rather friendly tone of voices help make
the silver-white hedgehog relax his tense muscles a bit, smiling
back in return. "It's very nice to meet you, Jury and Mephy," he
replied back as he extended his hand for a handshake to return
the gesture. "My name is Silver the Hedgehog, or just Silver, if
you'd prefer. It's nice to meet some people who are not trying
to kill or hurt me in any sort of way for once, heh heh..."
Shaking his head to steer away from that course of thought, he
continued more positively again. "What are you two? You don't
seem to be ordinary creatures. Are you guys from around here?"
The boy asked curiously, wondering if maybe they were
"different" like him.
