One of colossal-sized chains made out of pure Irracirrillium
that ascended to far into the atmosphere was fairly close to
Mobotropolis. For now it appeared to be unguarded.

Sonic skidded to a stop as he slides placing Float on the
ground. He looks up at the massive chains hovering over head and
smiles holding up his hand at Float as if waiting for something.
"Alright! after all this time we finally have a lead. Whatda say
we see where this goes?" Sonic asked seeming excited to get back
to what he dose best saving the world.

The chains that lead up to the heavens creaked and swayed
slightly in the wind. There was still slack as their arched
their way to the sky but it was too far up to see what was on
the other end of it from the ground.

Looking up the shining silver shackles he grabbed Float's hand
without a moment of hesitation. He revs up his feet and blasts
off running up the large chains leaving a trail of fire in his
wake. Once the obstacles became more vertical he smiled tossing
Float up into the air ahead. He speeds up now running free to
bypass the steep step in the chain. Once past it he catches
Float's hand pulling her from the air and continues on the way
up.

The colossal chains were so large that they didn't even scream
in protest or break apart from the sudden force being driven up
them by the Blue Blur. They did however, twitch and shake from
the impact his feet made along them, like the friction caused by
a live bug being caught in a spider's web and alerting the
arachnid deeper within. The chain even formed smaller, uneven
loops and twists in the path ahead of the hedgehog as he ran.
Soon enough the blue speeder would cross paths with two very
familiar sisters in his way.
"Oh look, it's Sonic!" Topaz called out with a wave; from the
looks of things she looked as though she appeared to be on her
hands and knees in climbing the chain as well.

Ember now looking rather different far more elegant and womanly
with her new curly up do and long wavy hair combo, moved her
head from behind Topaz excited. "Sonic! Where." She sung excited
clinging to her sister's shoulder. "Now you remember what you
promised Paz?" She asked beaming with beauty and eagerness.

Gabriel watched as the Blue Blur ran up the chains from a top
the remains of a building. Wonder where he's going so fast, he
thought to himself. Without a second thought, Gabriel flapped
his wings and took to the air. He attempted to avoid the chains
as he followed them up towards whatever was attached to it,
adjusting his wings to the flow of the wind to avoid being
tossed.

Aria watched the small group of Mobians run/fly up the chains
towards what ever object they were attached to. The Seedrian had
kept to herself, only watching everything unfold from afar and
deciding against intervening for her own well-being. But
this...this simply could not be ignored, not anymore. A deep
frown was on the spirit's face...and for the first time for
quite a long time, she was disturbed, and anxious. Somehow, she
felt a sense of foreboding as she slightly glared at the chains,
not liking any of this one bit. She had slight concerns for the
young girl the blue hedgehog was dragging behind him - mostly
about safety - but also pitied the bat that flew after them, for
he did not really know just what he was about to get himself
into. Aria remained "standing" in her spot for a full minute
before she scowled deeply.
It was too bad. She'd have to join the fray for right now.
Surprisingly, Aria did not activate her invisibility and flew a
safe distance behind the bat and hedgehog. "[shadow=red,left]Why
do I get the feeling I'm going to regret this...[/shadow]" she
murmured, weaving through the chains and trying to best to
remain out of immediate line of sight.

As the chains formed loops and ramps Sonic smiled keeping his
fast pace. "YES! It's like these things were made for me." He
remarks with a sly smile before throwing Float ahead again far
into the air. Sonic moves his fast feet furiously until a blue
speed cone forms around him as he breaks the sound barrier. The
resulting Sonic boom shook the chain as the blue hero run the
ramp. Coming to the loop he curls into a ball and spins around
the upside down circle like a tyre burning rubber. After coming
out of the loop he uncurls dashing ahead catching Floats hand
running on and on. At this point Sonic was having way too much
fun to notice the sisters the ghost or the bat. Getting a little
higher towards the top he came across Ember and Topaz. He pulled
down the skin under his eye and poked out his tongue to taunt
them they were the enemy after all. As they were blocking his
path he gave a great jump and talked really fast as he leaps
over them. "Hi ladies sorry no time to stop now. Not when the
winds this good." He said rapidly as the wind pushed his sleek
spines back as he landed once over them and kept ascending. The
thrill of running up this vertical wall with a life in his hands
was exhilarating. This was it.This was the feeling he had wanted
to feel again. He now felt it for the first time since Tails
passed. "Hold on tight kid were heading for the heavens." He
belted out excited to carry on.

While the chain shook violently from the sudden momentum being
revved up by the hedgehog, it showed no signs of weakening.
Though givent he amount of slack in its arch, the loose chain
was tossed and turned in an unpredictable manner. Topaz and
Ember, of course, were well prepared for this and had taken the
extra steps of stopping themselves from being thrown off.
"Of course I remember our deal sis, you just have to hold up
your end of the bargain as well." she winked. She snapped her
fingers and the pair faded away, disappeared and then suddenly
reappeared a fair distance away from the hedgehog.
"Oh come on now Sonic, you really think we want to be a part of
this? We're here to help you!"
