Rigid Runners

(It's been brought to my attention that several people are less
than sure about where Sonic stands on his morals and if he truly
is heroic or not. This thread is to dispel those notions and to
give my clear vision for where exactly Sonic stands on the line
between villainy and heroics. Scourge is here to represent what
a villainous Sonic looks like. It is also meant to represent
what Sonic could become if he became too big of a jerk
graduating to ****. There are only a few little differences but
it's the little things that make up life. So without further ado
I give you the Sonic/Scourge contrast.)
On the Mobotropolis highway that runs around the entirety of the
city the cries of children could be heard. Scourge stands with a
smug smile tossing a detonator repeatedly into the air catching
it afterwards. He stood atop a pile of rubble as cars and
traffic on the highway was backed up since the mysterious
disappearance of the cities population. Behind him was a group
of young children each fitted with at least five sticks of
dynamite each. They were tied up in both rope and wires tangled
to a timer. As the kids cried for help the green menace couldn't
help but grin wider as closed his eyes bopped his head and
tapped his foot as if he was jamming out to their despair like
music.

Sonic blazed a trail of fire across the freeway as he ran at
crazy speeds,dodging the backed up cars preforming jumps and
curling into a ball to roll under the larger ones. Upon the
horizon he heard the sound Scourge sent as a calling card to the
hero. Sonic kicked up the pace and dashed towards the sound
skidding to a stop as he saw the literally mad act unfolding. As
the trail of fire fades to smoke Sonic gives an annoyed sigh and
taps his foot while shaking his head. "Scourge...look I don't
have time to deal with you right now. The city is up to it's arm
pits in problems and you barely qualify as BO. Look how about
you let the kids go and I'll only beat you up a little?" He said
smug smile clearly no doubt in his mind he could defuse the
situation.

"Your not in a position to be demanding anything blue. I've got
the power over this situation encase you missed it." He said
holding the trigger to the explosives up before Sonic. "One
wrong move and SONIC BOOM! These kids parents are going to have
to glue them back together in hell Heh." He gave a wicked grin
and walked closer pushing his finger against his doubles nose.
"Speaking of their folks where is everybody huh? Whats wrong
hero? Taking care of a single city too much for you."

Scourge was pushing Sonic's buttons questioning his abilities to
do his job. Sonic gritted his teeth and gave a glare. "Killing
kids? Really Scourge! that's a new low even for you."

"Come now were not so different. Infact it's scary how similar
we are isn't' it? It's like looking in a better looking green
mirror right Sonic?" As Scourge saw he was getting to Sonic
getting him good and angry he held the trigger up again in the
air. "uh uh I wouldn't want that hot temper of yours to blow
this situation out of proportions. Now your going to sit there
and listen to what I've got to say. You think your all high and
mighty when really your arrogance and ego is just as intense as
mine more so even if you look at your latest victories. Even now
you're being selfish not surrendering for the good of the
children. Is that because our over inflated ego just won't allow
it? Go on say it admit it your just like me deep down. Don't and
and well." Scourge looked over towards the TNT. "Well at least
the kids will get to see some fireworks before they go." Now
grinning with pleasure he started to toss the trigger into the
air again catching it frequently.

There was no way Sonic was going to admit anything to Scourge
and risk a blow to his identity and ego. But he couldn't let the
children pay for his arrogance either. Sonic watched Scourge's
movements carefully and Scourge rash as ever had just made a
fatal error. As Scourge got cocky tossing the detonator into the
air Sonic made a grab for it snatching it away. With a smile he
swiftly tossed it to the ground and crushed it under foot. Now
with the upper hand Sonic zipped around uniting his hostages.
Once the ropes and wires fell the children begun to run to
safety. Now Sonic would gloat he approached Scourge arms behind
his back with a s,hit eating grin sprawled across his face.
"Your right Scourge were not so different, I'm selfish arrogant
and c,ocky beyond belief. Only difference is I use my skills to
help people. I make their lives better. You use your power to
intimidate and bully others. And let's not forget blowing up
children. Real classy there pal." Sonic patted Scourge on the
shoulder and then leans on him using him as an arm rest. "Now
let's look at the difference in our lives. You spend your
weekends as the jail basketball you eat prison food and your
girl betrayed you every chance she got. Now let's look at my
life. I've got thousands of fans all around the globe and galaxy
even. I'm dating a tiger with the body of a super model I've got
my on comic series and I've got a great kid from the future who
thinks I'm the best person ever. Fame fortune and love I'd say
the side I'm on isn't looking so bad. Case in point that is the
difference between us I've been rewarded for my acts while you
eat s,hit in prison." He told him walking around his double
confidently shaking his head.

Hearing the truth Scourge was loosing it his sharp teeth gnashed
and his voice was shrill filled with uncertainty and rage. "How
could this happen.....my plan was perfect...." He uttered before
going to swing a swift punch towards Sonic's jaw.

Sonic jumped out of the way and yawned throwing a swift kick
back knocking Scourge to the ground. Suddenly in a blur of blue
several Sonic's surrounded Scourge. Sonic can vibrate his body
so fast he can exist across multiple places in time and space.
This effectively means Sonic can exist in more than one time or
place at a time. This allows the speedster to create clones of
himself that can even exist in the same time and space Sonic is
currently occupying. The other Sonic's taunt and torment Scourge
with middle fingers pulling faces and other rude gestures while
the main Sonic keeps calm with a smug smile. "Not a bad trick
huh? I call it Blast Processing. You just don't get it do you. I
got this from another Anti Sonic Pin from Mobius A34. You see
it's going down again just like it did with her. Now that I've
ruffled your spines how about a chase race? If you can keep up
that is slo mo." Sonic said as the other versions of him faded
away and he got down on all fours and took off with such great
force the freeway collapsed burying Scourge with it. And with
that Sonic was off to once again try to figure out this problem
of missing women the french cult he couldn't pronounce the name
of was behind.
