[center]Pro-Tip of the Day: Reading posts will HELP you. I have
noticed that a small handful of people don't read posts and just
post anyway... how can you RP if you don't READ?[/center]
((Okay so Ember and Topaz had made their sudden departure due to
a number of reasons. Seeing as no one really picked up on this I
feel that it is needed for me to be direct OOC. The saying
'reading between the lines' has a significant meaning in this
arc, especially when I have designed this arc to keep people
guessing - and even second-guess each other's posts. While I am
happy for you guys to participate in this Arc, I strongly advise
for you people to remember - or reread if you dont remember -
past actions and not repeat them. So far, you lot haven't made
much progress in your challenge other than yell or attack
everyone crossing your paths.

Your challenge was to find out as much as you can about this gem
WITHOUT asking direct questions and handling it with
care.[/center]
[color=yellow]Here's a recap as to why:

[li]It has been hinted that a number of Brumes cannot answer
direct questions due to the bombs implanted into their skulls by
Le Gerant to prevent his secrets/plans/purpose of existing.
Actually, it has been flat-out shown due to Phillip's gruesome
death.Hint: This doesn't mean that all Brumes have this implant,
but currently you don't have a way to find out who has it and
who doesn't.[/li]
[li]Handling the gem with care is pretty crutial. Every time it
has been rough-handled it sets off blasts of energy like a sonic
boom. With the negative affects it has had on your oc's hearing,
that's a hint that it is pretty unstable right? Maybe try to be
a little more careful before someone gets killed lol.[/li]
[/list]
[center]THINK about your posts before posting. As Sonic has
stated before, do NOT post for the sake of posting. Do or say
something interesting or entertaining that is RELEVANT to the
Arc to help it be entertaining and productive. If you are not
sure, ask me in Shoutbox, Skype or Private Message. [/center]
Half of you have improved and are doing great, the other half
seem a bit unsure to me.
What should you do now that you have just been set on the path
of 'you're on your own' for the rest of Part Two?
[center]What do you do when you have a mystery to solve but
don't have answers? Maybe try methods of your own investigations
to see what you can find?))[/center]

He narrowed his eyes knowing the hedgewolf made a huge mistake
as he watched the duo particularly Ember taunting the group
about them being far too trusting and they basically handed gave
away the only thing that can stop thier upcoming master plan
altogether. All hope seems lost the moment these two pop stars
vanished without a trace however the hybrid was then seemingly
curious and interested on the actions of Sonic when he was
willing to lock lips with Ember. His hunch tells him to watch
his blue comrade carefully noting that he must be trying to
steal the gem back. "hmmm.."
A smile appeared on the stoic hybrid's face when his gutsy
feeling turns out to be correct as Sonic held thier prized
possession proudly in his hands."You managed to pull a fast one
didnt ya blur...nice job Sonic" he gave him the thumbs up. He
then turns to face his allies."I know I screwed up big time..but
nevermind that..I just discovered something new an- oof! ARGH!!"
he hears the loud but familar sudden screech and his body was
flung by another sonic boom once more.
He then slowly stood back up and slowly to take a gander at his
surrounding first and also caught a quick glance at Sonic who
appears to be unaffected in the same way as Ty and R once were.
It causes him to come up with an answer for the mystery behind
the mineral or so he believes. He then slowly picks up the gem
once more.
"Just as I thought..this gem seems to function more like a
tool..sort to speak" he folds his arms. "Based on what I
witnessed earlier the stone reacts to music..or rather any type
of sound in general..then it converrts the soundwaves into
power...storing the energy into itself".
"The moment Sonic dropped the diamond it unleashed all of that
stored up energy into a loud screech followed by a sonic
boom..however it also did the same thing when I simply picked it
up from the ground and shove it into my pack..so that means it
only goes off when the posseser is reckless with the object..it
also means that it would have to recharge itself by obsorbing
more sound after its one time usage".
"The reason why Sonic is not affected is because he was touching
and holding the gem thus registering him as the weilder of the
power so naturally it wouldnt try to hurt him..the same can be
said for myself as well since I was carrying it" .
"Despite R not being the one to posses the stone..she was also
not affected because as I stated before..she was standing in
very close proximity to me which would indicate two
things..either there is an invisible barrier protecting the user
and anyone close by...or the sonic boom and loud screech only
occurs on an outer radius from the user..which is just like a
ring spreading itself far and wide".
"Lastly if you remember what the those two ladies told us..this
thing is the key to thier success and our failure..so they are
panning to use the stone as a weopon or at the very least will
be used as a battery source for a weopon" he said finally.

"That all seems... Riveting and all, Frost. But you and your
buddies ruined the free concert."
From behind the blue Hybrid was the unenthusiastic voice of a
Crow.
His orange-red eyes glancing over, "But that Gem is quite the
find.. Mind if I see it for a bit?"
He side-stepped quickly, plucking the Gem from Ty's hand and
examining it.
"Sooo... this little thing caused that awful sound huh?" He
murmured, glancing over.
"It sure seems like a pain to have something this pretty in your
hands..."

[font=times new roman]Lightanis recognized the crow and this
sparked a memory. "We meet again," she said in the exact tone
she'd used at the power plant, "perhaps now you could give my
swords back, that is if you have them." Lightanis stepped
towards Lyric with her left hand outstretched. Her hopes were
that he would oblige seeing as they might have a common
enemy.[/font]

The former military super soldier was not expecting a visit from
his feathery old partner possessing the same amount of skill of
our freindly neightborhood hedgewolf. Last time he encountered
him standing side by sde with Robotnik for reasons unknown but
recently the overlander was caught and thrown in jail at the so
called "festival" so now he is wondering if he is a free agent
who decides alone without his boss orderng him around. The
question that needs to be answer soon would be..is he freind or
foe?
He watches him takes the stone from his hand to examine it while
making one of his usual sarcastic and boring quips so he decides
to return the favor with a quip on his own."I see your still
about as dry as a box of raisons..I suppose some things never
change.." he remarked while shaking his head.
"Thats right..this little gemstone here can cause alot of
eardrums to be broken..and to be honest.I thought it was you at
first" he has a knuckle pressing on his wasit.
"Anyways we are trying to stop a group of illusion casters who
call themselves the Mist Locks from trying to rob the entire
world of its riches and the mobian population..they already
struck Mobotropolis so now we only have two days to prepare for
their next attack..so are you going to help us out?" he
wondered.

He glanced over towards the armored Mobian, as he raised an
eyebrow.
"...These gotta be worth something if you are so adamant on
getting them back." He remarked, another sidestep towards the
Hybrid, "It's fine that I have this then right?"
His eyes seemed to be fixated on the gem.
"I can handle bad luck a lot better than yourself you know." he
remarked.
As he looked over towards the Hybrid.
"Is that why this place looks like Hell warmed over?"
He gave a bit of a callous chuckle, "You can't seriously call a
robbery an attack can you, Partner?"
He looked around, "..They are pretty damn sloppy too... So these
Mist Locks... are like large scale robbers or something? I mean
if they have precious gems like... this Maybe it could be called
an attack. What did you guys do to provoke it exactly?"

The hybrid rases an eyebrow and carefully takes the mineal back
from his hand knowing what happends if one were to mistreat it
and gently puts it away in his pack. "I'd rather not" he doesnt
want to repeat the same mistake twice of letting someone else
hold the gemstone only to see them try and run away with it.
"Who knows..they could be both magicians and robbers..as far as
them being sloppy..the hiest they just pulled off was actually
well thought out and impressive..they managed to trick
everyone.including myself into thinking were are having a fun
time at a celebration in the form of a festival and before we
know it we all passed out and the city loks like a war zone with
all of the women and our stolen goods already taken away before
we even knew what happened" he then stares at the sky with his
eyes narrowing.
"Thier timing was so perfect..it makes any professional bank
robber look like a beginner..and to think I was able to enjoy
myself for once in life" he sounds dissappointed but nonetheless
compliment thier efforts despite them being antagonistic towards
the mobians but he couldnt help be give credit where its due.
"We dont know why they are doing this to us or how they even
know about this universe..but one things for certain..they
cannot execute thier next big plan with this diamond in our
hands..we have to keep this safe to te best of our ability and
who knows..maybe we could actually use it to our advantange" he
glances at the rest of his allies while folding his arms.

have fully mastered," Lightanis replied, "and in a time such as
this, I would like to be at my best for combat purposes." She
glanced at her brother for a moment. "You must know the feeling
of wanting to protect those whom you hold close," she continued,
"and I must are with Ty, these Mist-Locks are far from amateur
thieves....their leader....Le Gerant killed one of them with a
most horrid execution...." Lightanis had clenched her fists and
closed her eyes unable to finish. Upon opening her eyes, a cold
glaze had went over them. "Surely you have a similar goal to
prevent their victory," Lightanis finished with a coldness to
her voice, her left hand still outstretched, "now my swords if
you will and perhaps we can figure out the gem together."[/font]

"So it never occurred to you to seek out two new swords instead
of the two you actually gave me." Lyric remarked, scowling when
he noticed Ty had taken the gem yet again.
For mere moments he stared at pouch he set it in, as if taking
note of a target as he returned his attention back to Lightanis.
"I mean, you lost. You admitted defeat... then gave me your
weapons." He added, standing towards her, and tilting his head.
"Now I'm not an old fashioned gent or whatever you Ren Faire
types are... I mean I said I'd give you the blades... Not
feeling it so much anymore, Sorry."
He looked back to Ty, "I say they're sloppy because they were
all over the news. And has everyone looking for them." He had
his hands on his hips, "Women and goods stolen... " He murmured,
tapping his beak then muttering, "The lot of you talk too damn
much... do you two ever get to the point?"
He Shifted, rather close and Pointed at the Hybrid and sneered,
"I know you don't. That much hasn't changed."
As he was close enough, yet again, he was using his words to
distract as he went for the Gem in the pouch;
Even as an ex soldier his obtuse time as a swindler and pick
pocket shined through.
He turned his beak back to Lightanis, "Lady, I could care less
what happens to this world. It's inevitable that this sorta
thing would happen. You guys always assume something good is
gonna happen... then Bam!"
He shifted his hand away from Ty quickly backing up, and
pocketed them again. into his jacket.
"Everything you know, you apparently loved... and cherished is
up and gone. But that's Lady Luck for you. She's a cruel
Mistress"

[font=times new roman]Darkenlight rolled his eyes, spitting in
Lyric's direction, "So you side with the Mist-Locks, typical of
your avian species always switching to whatever s-" a glare from
his sister shut him up. Though that didn't stop him from
stepping towards Lyric, wings opened in a threatening manner.
"Make you a deal," he tried to say in the calmest tone he could
muster, "if you side with us, you can carry the gem but only if
you side with us."[/font]
