The cyan hedgehog tapped Lori's shoulder to call her attention
that he was with them the entire time, he turns his attention
back to the group who were continuing to argue about the
ownership of the stone. Seeing that this conflict would get them
nowhere the pink performer offered them a deal. Soul knew that
this "game" would give them the upper hand against Le Gerant ,
although he didn't trust the two sisters since they are working
with the Mist-locks. As the hybrid gave the gem to the sisters
the cyan hedgehog remarked "There...you got your gem...now tell
us what are these "challenges" you speak of? No tricks this
time"

Listening to the conversation in the background, the challenges
that Ember had spoken of sparked R's attention. "Challenge?" she
asked. Since she had just met the two singers, she didn't trust
them at all but they needed the information.

Now with gem in hand she smiled cuddling it close. She walked
around Sonic looking him up and down admiring his form. She held
up her hand up and said in a clear voice. "The first clue
is.....You've all trusted people who ransacked your city and
stole your women." She gave an upset pout poking out her lower
lip. "And sadly Sonic's voice. Sorry about that Poogles." She
said ticking under Sonic's chin. She then leaned in and pressed
her lips to Sonic's stealing a kiss. To her surprise Sonic
kissed her back a little deeper instead of pulling away. Ember
had now let her guard down for a quick moment before pulling
away then looking to the group. "That was delightful Poogles."
She said with a giggle before addressing the others. "Your
simpletons far too trusting.You've just handed us the key to
ensure our victory and your failure." With that Ember and Topaz
vanished in a brilliant flash of light and sound.

"Seriously?! That's all?! Is that all you give us?!" Lori
yelled, unsuccessfully attempting to punch Ember as she and her
sister disappeared in a flash of light and sound -once again
making her ears go flat at the noise for a moment- as she landed
on the floor, her anger even worse than when she punched Mardius
before all this happened, but somehow not letting another
off-the-handle moment let loose. Then the amber hedgehog said
with an angered-but-not-at-you tone of voice to the female
phoenix while standing up, "I think your brother was correct..."
as she stared profusely at the spot where Ember had been before
turning in the hedgewolf's direction.
Oh just great, first you give us that, then you leave us with
your dumb gem and say that we'd fail?! Next time I could break
that arm of yours.... the amber hedgehog thought, her eyes with
an angered tone. Of course, she didn't have time for that sort
of anger, since she did still need to help the others. She then
faced Soul, and then she got an idea- if Soul were to attempt to
find Ember and her sister with his powers, then they could find
those two, and get another clue or something from them.
"Soul...I think I have an idea of how we could find those two
again... if it works. Could you try using your powers to locate
Ember and her sister?" she asked, wondering if it'd work or not.

After the girls had left Sonic had a big smile upon his face.
"While I'm sure my girlfriend won't like the method you can't
argue with the results." He said with a smile holding up the
sparkling gem for all to see. He spins it stop his finger as if
it were a basketball. Turns out after Ember started lip contact
Sonic was able to take it while her guard was down. Once again
his wanted words fell flat and what came out of his mouth was.
"Let's do it to it!" After this catchphrase was belted out Sonic
dropped the gem slumped over as he couldn't even deliver witty
remarks.

Fem stopped her advance towards the group as soon as she got
down to the ground floor and within hearing distance of the
situation. She quickly moved herself into a shop labelled
[I]'Chocolatier's Hovel'[/I] and listened in from there using
her binoculars as per before, the shop assistant was sure as
heck curious as to why someone was using binoculars in a shop,
but she wasn't causing any trouble so why complain? As she
watched the case unfold she noticed the whole group from the
farm were there. When Ember gave Lori an Acne case Fem reeled
back in disgust looking away. [I]"Oh for the love of- ooh
banoffee pie."[/I] her focus was diverted away from the somewhat
tense situation as she decided to get herself and R (whom she
had saw in the binoculars) a slab of the chocolate. She didn't
care much for a hostile situation at the time given how the
afternoon had been. Once she had bought a bar of orange
chocolate and a bar of regular chocolate for R she wandered over
towards the group intending to settle things down.
But she heard what came out from Ember next and it hit her hard.
Any one of the group could have been stabbing them in the back
the whole time.
And she could have noticed and tried to figure out who it was
back at the farm if she hadn't been so wound up. This brought
back a fresh memory of how she'd been caught out so easily. And
needless to say, her good mood was out of the window.
[I]"I'm not sure whether I should apologise for blowing up on
some of you earlier or leave half of you hanging on a
chandelier!"[/I] she said tapping her foot impatiently. When
Sonic held up the gem she closed her eyes for a few seconds to
find some kind of neutrality. [I]"That's [B]one[/B] good move
pulled."[/I] before looking over at the rest of the group. [I]"I
don't know if any of the rest of you got this between her
calling the lot of us simpletons. But at least one of the group
has been stabbing us in the back this whole time."[/I] she
pointed out in annoyance. [I]"Not forgetting of course that any
of this lot could appear at any moment to try and steal that gem
back as soon as they realise they don't have it! So! we've got
two important focuses right now. Keeping that gem in safe hands,
and figuring out who's f ing with our group!"[/I] for a girl who
was in a bad mood she seemed to be thinking quite straight. She
cast a glance over at R. [I]"Catch!"[/I] she said tossing her
the remaining chocolate bar having eaten the orange chocolate
one while hearing out the last part of the conversation. The bar
would be in the air as the gem was dropped.

Once Sonic dropped the gem, once again it suddenly reacted by
letting out an all too familiar wail and the metal chunks
orbiting it spun around rapidly before sending a sonic boom-like
blast all around it, knocking everyone off their feet.
Sonic was the only one unaffected by it this time around.

you listen!!??" he shrieked in rage, "No!!!" Darkenlight
snarled, glaring at Sonic, before noticing the gem in his hand.
"Well it seems he was smart about that kiss," he said with a
smirk before frowning, "you all are too trusting though,
especially my elder sister. If it wasn't for the Blur Clan's
sleight of hand, you'd have given Le Gerant the victory." He
received a hit over the head from Lightanis, which was to tell
him to loose the ego he was developing. The wail caused him to
hold his ears as he fell to the ground, shrieking with
it.[/font]

[font=times new roman]Lightanis was confused by the clue until
realizing her brother had been right. She looked down when they
left until hearing about Sonic's sleight of hand. "Well you
sneaky little sneak thief," she chuckled as she hit her brother.
Lightanis covered her ears when the gem shrieked, falling to
the ground with a loud clunk when the sonic boom came.[/font]

Sonic raided an eyebrow and managed a smirk at the praise he had
garnered. As the gem blew people over and he remained
unaffected, he gently sets it down and walks backing away from
it hands in the air to show he was innocent. This gem was
trouble and Sonic was of no real use in investigation until he
got his voice back. He flicks a thumbs up and blast off
departing for the which who did this to him.
