Geologist Casey Luskin explains how Earth contains many
intricate geological processes that are required for life and
suggest intelligent design.
Dr. Luskin holds a PhD in Geology from the University of
Johannesburg where he specialized in paleomagnetism and the
early plate tectonic history of South Africa. His B.S. and M.S.
degrees in Earth Sciences are from the University of California,
San Diego, where he studied evolution extensively at the
graduate and undergraduate levels, and conducted geological
research at Scripps Institution for Oceanography. Luskin is
Associate Director of the Center for Science and Culture at
Discovery Institute.
This talk was presented at the 2022 Dallas Conference on Science

The contemporary media portrays the relationship between science
and Christianity as one of perpetual conflict and warfare. But
it was not always so, as many of the most prominent scientists
in history were faithful Christians. In this message, Dr.
Stephen Meyer explains why the two, when properly understood,
are not in conflict and reminds us that Scripture and creation
can never ultimately contradict each other.

How Common Design Explains the Organization of
Life
The fact that known natural biological processes can produce
non-tree-like patterns is problematic not for ID proponents but
for proponents of common ancestry.
Yes, Winston Ewert’s Dependency Graph Is a Real
Model
SNIPPETS:
In my previous post responding to YouTuber Gutsick Gibbon, aka
Erika, I linked to Winston Ewert’s 2018 BIO-Complexity article,
“The Dependency Graph of Life,” as a more technical explanation
of how common design can yield a dataset with some tree-like
structure. ... ...
Before concluding this series tomorrow, I will finish with this
for now: the fact that known natural biological processes can
produce non-tree-like patterns is problematic not for ID
proponents but for proponents of common ancestry. If, when we
know genetic inheritance is occurring, we don’t see a tree
pattern, then what does this say about our ability to test or
demonstrate common ancestry? The presence of non-tree-like data,
however, is not a problem for ID proponents who challenge common
ancestry. That is because we feel we can account for genetic
similarity better through common design.
