Holidays the way they used to be

So I came up with this joke which at 3am this past week and it
went over decently well when I performed it at my stand-up club.
But I think it could also work as a sketch with some reworking.
My idea was this: What if national holidays never really changed
over time? Like, how people celebrated independence day back in
1776 or 1777 was probably a lot different than how our country
celebrates it now. But what if did celebrate it the same way? I
can just imagine people running around drunkenly shooting guns
into the air screaming "WE DID IT! KICKED THE BRITS ASSESS
WHOOOOOOOO!!!! FUCK YOU BRITAIN! DEMOCRACY'S THE SHIT!!!!
Like back in the day I just imagine all the founding fathers
getting really hammered in independence hall, half the congress
is peeing on the british flag, Ben Franklin and George
washington are jerking off on a picture of King George,
Jefferson's running after a black chick with a lamp shade on his
head saying something like "bitch I founded a country, now
blowwww me!"
Now take that same type of image to modern day, with congress
getting really shitty, there's a youtube video posted of George
Bush inviting Tony Blair over just to punch him in the face.
Obama's screaming at Michelle, "but baby, I'm the leader of the
free world and the first black dude in the white house, if you
can't get turned on by that then Imma pull a clinton!" Clinton's
in the background hooking up with the Queen of England etc and
so on
I like the idea of important historical figures partying hard

Historical/important current figures getting trashed is always
hilarious. It's been scientifically proven.

I just like the idea of us wearing tail coats and powdered wigs,
getting hammered like its 1776. I could be adams, jack could be
jefferson, and then sam can be franklin. go forth and write
funny dialog!
would it be back in the day, showing how they partied back then,
or is it a creative rendition of what said celebration would be
like in nowadays?
