Flash Mob 1 11/28/10

As you both know, I'm a big fan of flashmob, do weird shit in
the middle of everyday life, kinda stuff. I though of this idea
this past summer, but we'll see what you guys think.
First, we'd need to find a nice escalator that is frequently
used and in a central location. We'd get several people in 80s
workout gear and perform a little stair master routine. This
could also work as a series of exercise videos using every day
things, showing people how to beef up 24/7. We could hook up a
shopping cart to the trainer and have them do laps with their
groceries, running stairs during movies or sporting events (blue
jackets?), doing squats while you shit, the list goes on and on.

other ideas i thought of while in community health regarding the
workout plan: using meats in the frozen food section to lift
with. water aerobic in a fountain. Doing seat crunches by moving
your seat up and back while driving. High knees/jazzercising
while waiting line for a tickets of for a hamburger. Chair
squats while eating the hamburger. This program uses the same
premise as insanity: constant movement with little breaks makes
for better workouts, but it takes it one step farther. Never
stop working out.

I like the idea of not stopping to move and using that premise
as a sort of montage of non-movement. First starting with small
things like the hamburger thing, then advancing to more
ridiculous actions. I also think the setting plays an important
role, ie a library. I also think it would be cool to go to a
place and act like you should know what you're doing but do it
wrong. I think it's been done before but something like using
the exercise equipment at the gym completely wrong. Sam I think
this would be best done by you. I can imagine you walking in
trying to look tough, asking some people to spot you on
something there's no chance you can lift or only doing one
repitition of it. I think the idea of working with more
physically oriented comedy is a good way to start.
