Her beast of burden
Acteaon
I Belong To High Captain Malora
-- Is in the cafe within the Market Square, a lovely little
eatery with various food, drink, and baked goodies--
says to .:|Valkyrie of the Seas|: ::he runs with the mincing
steps of the slave that he is. his Mistress did not specifically
command "Harta!" but that is generally implied in Her commands
anyway. he clutches the coins in his hand, proud that he is
allowed to touch money. Free whom he encounters see that the
slave is under command and are content with a brief, respectful
bow. he halts outside the cafe for a moment to catch his breath
and then, carefully walking so he does not step in front of
Free, makes his way to the counter and steps to one side, as a
FW is being served. finally the counter girl looks to him, the
two exchange brief pleasantries and he tells her what his
Mistress wishes. he steps to one side and soon the girl hands
him a tray...the smell of the bosk strips is enticing, he can
see the bread, butter, and cheese are fresh, and with a nod he
takes the tray. there is a small cooking area at the back of Her
shop and if She wishes blackwine better to prepare it there
where it will still be fresh and hot. again, he draws little
attention as he returns...perhaps a look from a passing woman,
Free or slave, but soon he returns to the shop.::

says to .:|Valkyrie of the Seas|: -nods- that would be
appreciated. I've already picked through the ones I've yet to
read, or haven't read in a while, at the estates and brought
them to Asgeir.. but with the winter coming, I will have many
days beside the fire to read, with not much else to do. One can
only satisfy their Mate so often in a day... -grins wide-

island is one of the places Rhae has some bee hives? How are
those working out for You?

says to Caedric al'Rassan : I gave a light laugh at that. Frode
didn't seem to have that problem, but then again, He was also
much younger. The wonder was that I had not become pregnant of
yet, though the tyranny of a Pirate with pregnancy hormones
probably shouldn't be tested. "I'll have those brought up, then.
I believe there are six of them, though I'm not exactly sure. I
haven't gotten to that particular inventory scroll just yet."
Again, I gestured to the stack of scrolls at the back of the
table. "Once Acteaon gets back, I'll have him get You a cup of
blackwine if You like."

says to Caedric al'Rassan : I shook my head slightly. "We never
got around to getting the bees. The offer is definitely still
open, though. It would be nice to have some fresh honey down
there."

says to .:|Valkyrie of the Seas|: ::usually he would enter from
the back, as it is impudence for a slave to use doorways and
such that Free use. but now he is serving the Mistress and he
comes straight in. he kneels, bowing low, and touching the rim
of the tray to his chest and forehead, showing his understanding
that his body and his soul are Her property, to do with as She
wishes. as trained, especially as She is speaking to a FM, he
places the tray on a table to Her right and awaits Her further
will.::

says to .:|Valkyrie of the Seas|: -scratches His beard- hmmm..
perhaps We could see to that before the snows hit. Are the hives
there? Just lacking bees? Or do You need the entire set up? She
has the hives in Asgeir, of course, and I have quite a few on
the Estates in the Thentis Mountains.. I'm sure We have enough
to start a new colony for You.

about bees and of course should the Island install hives there
should be no payment required, as the bee stings in life are
free. inwardly he laughs at his own joke...knowing no one else
is likely to do it.::

says to Caedric al'Rassan : I gave it some thought, then spoke
slowly as I imagined where to put the hives. "We don't have
hives, though with the Island being tropical, we do have some
bees. We wouldn't need much, honestly. Just a couple of hives,
down by the farmland on the far side of the village."

says to .:|Valkyrie of the Seas|, Caedric al'Rassan : yes,
Master. ::he bows to him and his Owner, rises, and steps to the
cooking area where the girl assures him the blackwine is fresh
and strong. even though the kitchen slaves are careful, he
inspects two large cups to make sure they are clean and
flawless, suitable for Free use. he prepares the Mistress' as
She likes it and the Master's cup holds the dark, rich beverage.
the aroma is strong and pleasing but...he is a slave, he might
be allowed a slip from the dregs of he cup later, maybe. the
cups go on a small tray and again he shows is subjugation to Her
will and then places Her cup on a table and offers the tray with
the remaining cup to the Master.::
