--Skull Island Trading Post--
-- Inside the curiosities of the Skull Island Trading Post you
can find just about anything, and if you can't, ask the
proprietor, if they can't obtain it, perhaps it just doesn't
exist --
I eye the shop shelves and check them idly for dust. Everything
appears to be in order. That is fortunate. It means that my
slaves are doing their jobs. This is a relief to me, as it
spoils my day having to think of punishments for them whenever
they get a task wrong. Or, more often, and in the case of my
Mate's thralls, when they annoy me with their subservience. As a
freedom loving skald, there are few things that vex me more than
men who willingly give up their freedom. It is said there are
none lower on Gor than men who willingly submit to women. Of
course I've heard some accuse me of that crime, given my
relationship with the pirate queen who shares my furs. But I
give them no attention. Ours is a partnership few would
understand, and while I might bend to her expertise in certain
matters, she bends to mine as well. She knows trade and commerce
better than I, but I can charm a crowd like few others. It is a
good partnership. One I only dreamed of in those lonely nights
on the road when I was a humble skald without two copper tarsk
bits to rub together. Now I'm a respected member of the
Captain's Council, with several ships at my command and a
signature vessel. The gods have been good to me and only they
know why. But I do thank them, on those few occasions I feel the
need to speak to them. I ask for nothing, however, beyond the
hope I might maintain the wisdom of Odin and the guile of Loki
that have gotten me this far.
