I pleased, and I tended to make it clear that while I much
preferred to reward my slaves, I could punish, and harshly, if
it was ever shown to be necessary. "Do you have other questions,

intelligent and your forthrightness in asking simple questions
about expectations pleased me. I nodded and took one question at
a time. "You will sleep in your own kennel in the girls' room,
which is down this hall and to the right, directly across the
hall from the boys' room. There is a larger kennel set aside
from the rest. That one is yours. There are also shelves in
there with various garments, blankets, towels, bathing rags,
soaps, hair oils and brushes and combs to be used. There is also
a chest of bina - necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair combs
which you may use as you like. Your hair will be worn at least
partially up, like a half-do, or fully up. No other slave may do
so. It shows your position above the low slaves. You will also
wear a thin leather belt with your kirtle so that you may tie on
a small pouch for coin earned." I paused to allow you to commit
this to memory before continuing.
"I do not have a set routine, however you are to ensure that you
eat twice daily, both breakfast and supper. Gruel is a
punishment. My slaves eat actual food. Also be sure you get
enough water. This is a tropical Island, and I'm sure I don't
have to tell you how awful dehydration and heat stroke can be.
And please, bathe often. You may bathe in the waterfall or at
the bath house in the slave section."

any emotion at the fact of sleeping inside a kennel, as to elita
it sounded too much like a caged area. Her former Mistress
always allowing a girl to sleep near her, so more new things to
get used to. Elita masked any sign of disappointment to rise,
just fleetingly missing the past. Now, it was quite nice to be
allowed such things, as you explained, elita would have
available. Learning more of your rules and preferences, as to
how elita should wear her hair upon each day. You did allow a
pouch on her kirtle, for coin when earned, but how, elita did
wonder, but was too scared in asking such as of now. She knew
that you had fully, sexually restricted to, so elita could
breath that no man would dare ever touch her. Quite surprised,
but happy to hear that elita did not have to eat that gruel she
had heard such terrible stories about its taste. Last to know to
bath and where she could do so, and knowing now, she'd only do
so, when totally alone and not being watched. Elita was rather
shy about her nakedness, with everyone.* Aye my Mistress, this

before continuing on. "As for specific duties, your main duty is
always to me. Thus, you would be responsible for ensuring that
my Home is clean, any paperwork or missives written to me are to
be on my desk or handed directly to me, and accompanying me
wherever I go, just as Acteaon does. But where he is a beast of
burden who ensures that heavy work is done correctly, he is also
a scribe slave who proofreads and tends to inventories for me.
You will be more service oriented, and will also ensure that
duties for the slaves are both assigned and completed correctly.
I'm definitely not a dainty lady who sits and pouts or preens
all day. I'm a Pirate, and you'll get your sea legs accompanying
me on trips." There would be more to it than just that, but I
didn't want to overwhelm you with information just yet. There
were many changes occurring for you all at once, and I would
give you time to adjust accordingly. "Anything else you would
like to know? Ask away."

him. But a Scribe once, in his former life, now that was rather
interesting. Elita would accompany you, each day, and it seemed
we'd travel much by ship, since, as you stated so proudly, you
were a Pirate. This fascinated elita and though she was not
certain of having these sea legs, it sounded scary, thrilling
and exciting, all in one. A hint of color tinged her cheeks,
just due to the excitement she felt now, at the future endeavors
she'd take, as your slave. Her voice lifted one last time, to
ask, simply*. My Mistress, when upon the ship, for our travels,
where then does elita sleep?
