says to ALL: I settled in the small office in the treehouse, at
my desk busily going over inventories and offers made by Those
who appreciated a bit of a Piratey touch to their shipping
needs. Several nice contracts had been created and settled of
late, and I was also pleased to know that my Father had a new,
good Woman by His side. The populace of the Isle was increasing
of late, and it made me proud to see what we were slowly
building here. Good people made for a good Home.

says to ALL: I had been told also that my Father's Woman would
be taking on the responsibility of the Inn and perhaps a Tea
House. Now, to be sure, I didn't know how the majority of the
Isle would feel with a Tea House available, as Pirate types are
not typically known for frequenting such places, but I did know
that the Women of the Isle would surely appreciate the new
venue. I found myself looking forward to it, honestly - it would
be a place that the Women could gather and talk. And a good Tea
House would add to the comfort level of the Isle. I thought on
this for a moment, then turned my attention to other matters - I
had two boys who hadn't been seen in ages. I wondered if they
would ever return. With a sigh, I figured one of them was gone
completely, but maybe the other would return once the work he'd
been sent off to finish was done. Sadly, I marked a line through
the name of record on one of them. Should that one return, he
would find himself in an Isle collar or perhaps given to a
different Owner. [RT has been awful for us both, it seems.]

says to ALL: I took my time reading various contracts and
agreements before signing off on them. I was methodical that
way. I knew full well that one mistake could easily cost us a
fortune, or even the Isle itself. I wasn't having that. Not at
all. Not when we had finally just started to really grow again.
So each paper was examined and read twice over, and anything I
found that didn't seem to match what should be was highlighted
or simply crossed out altogether. It took some time, but I was
more than willing to exchange time for security and profit. It
was all part of the delicate balancing act that kept this Isle
       together.
