Application - Kunzel Gutskewer
By: Greed Date: December 2, 2019, 9:11 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
- How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
I’m a former member (Jeewts aka Greed; Juimo aka Jinx). Very
excited to jump back into Sixty after a very long time.
- What is your character's name and race?
OOC Name: Kunzel
IC Name: Kunzel Gutskewer
Race: Orc
- Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
For me personally: I really missed RPing with you lot, and over
the years I’ve noticed Sixty only moving into an even better
direction in terms of RP quality and how the guild is handled.
It got me quite excited, thinking of hanging out with you again.
Hopefully on this character, but I realise it will very heavily
depend on a lot of factors IC!
For Kunzel: Some of you guys likely ran into my character a
bunch of times when our guilds interacted with each other a
while ago (Shattered Path). Back then things were a little more
straight-forward for her, but with the Fourth War coming to an
end, and her putting most of her eggs into Sylvanas‘ victory and
continuing on as warchief, she came into a rather bad position.
The rebels’ choices left her with a bitter taste in her mouth,
as she despises the Alliance over the past (and now the rebels
as well). In addition, some of her behaviours during the war and
questionable loyalties left her with a rather measly rank and a
lot of bitterness. I don’t want to spoil too much, but she has
good reasons to be angry at some within the Horde right now. The
Sixty are a way for her to get back to them and the Horde itself
and have some revenge, be that directly or indirectly.
- Tell us about your character's background and how they
became/are becoming a criminal
To avoid confusion, it likely makes sense to mention that Kunzel
is both a member of the Shattered Hand Clan as well as the later
founded Shattered Hand rogue organisation. She was born into a
pretty rough time for the orcs as the daughter of two Shattered
Hand that broke out with Kargath at the time. As a member of the
notorious clan, she has obviously seen her fair share of battle,
and acquired their somewhat messed up worldview / humour /
personality. Fast forward through all the Old Horde shenanigans,
she ends up in the internment camps, experiencing the fel
withdrawal and general lethargy that hit her particularly hard.
Skipping through all the bits until Thrall’s Horde was founded,
she ended up within the Shattered Hand rogue organisation, but
kept ties with her (few) roaming clan members still. There’s not
a whole lot to mention here until Legion/BfA where she took some
leading roles during the Fourth War.
As said, the Fourth War, the armistice, the rebellion and so on
are the main reason for her to turn to the Sixty or criminality
in general, though as a Shattered Hand operative, she was used
to shady dealings and the underground in general. The Sixty are
a way for her to (that is her goal at least) take it out on some
individuals she blames for the repercussion (rank stripped) and
the downfall of the Horde (in her opinion at least). Her loyalty
to the Shattered Hand and the Horde itself was heavily shaken,
and as such, it may just be an experiment for her in a way to
find a new place / find some new meaning.
- What kind of skills does your character have?
As someone who grew up among one of the most violent orc clans,
she has her fair bit of combat experience. She’s a seasoned
fighter in direct combat, and as a Shattered Hand, of course in
terms of assassinations and such. She has practiced some fel
magic for a time, but stopped a good while ago for various
reasons. So essentially:
- Alchemy, poison-brewing
- Sneaking
- Assassination
- Melee combat
- How powerful is your character?
She might outshine a good bunch of Sixty characters in regard to
combat due to her time as an operative/simple clan warrior, but
I wouldn’t say she is more than a clever warrior / rogue. Though
she adores violence and sports the stature for it, much of her
expertise comes from using the terrain, ambush and dishonourable
tactics. If someone puts a bullet through her head, she’s as
dead as any other character.
- How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
Tact and Fade probably know my stance on it. I generally always
accept character death or injury if I brought myself in that
situation, sometimes even when the means of my “opponents”
weren’t quite legitimate (metagaming and such), however I’d of
course like to avoid that, and if it goes to far I’d opt out.
Generally, though: Anything goes. I leave it up to how the RP
unfolds.
- Do you accept character death?
Definitely.
- What would your character's nickname be?
I’d need a while to ponder on this, really! It’s extra difficult
because she has many characteristics that can expose her, so I
think it would have to be well picked. Additionally, she’s
likely to pick something sentimental / funny to her.
- Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
yourself?
I realise the dynamic and distrust towards her IC will likely be
strong, so I am completely open to the outcomes of the RP. If
she doesn’t get in, she doesn’t get in. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi there again. Thanks for taking the time to write an
application!
As you mentioned at the bottom, there may certainly be some
mistrust towards the character due to her past, but you never
know how things might go in roleplay. We've no questions
regarding the app itself that we feel we want to ask at this
stage, and thus:
Approved!
You know the drill from here: get in touch with one of the
officers to arrange for an IC meet-up!
