- How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
A long time ago in an RP-PVP realm far, far away...
... I joined on Fade, so have known about it ever since!
- What is your character's name and race?
"Saxx" both OOC and IC, a Goblin, of course!
- Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
OOC - Tool's absence will continue for a while. Without her
being my active earner, and Snake relying on others to get her
job done (amateur), I wanted to fill in the gap of my soul with
Saxx here, for however long that may turn out to be.
IC - Saxx has recently faced the bitterness of unemployment,
after being settled in a relatively decent job for a good number
of years. The job before only gave her an income one out of four
weeks of a month, but even so, it appealed to her talentless
self quite well indeed. Now without that promise of a monthly
income, she finds herself concerned that she would be unable to
keep the money rolling in at a high enough rate to allow her and
her sister to live safely. But, the Sixty Thieves are a curious
group name that reached her ears. Are there sixty of them? ...
Would they be open to becoming sixty-two? Stability and profit
is just what she and her sister needs.
- Tell us about your character's background and how they
became/are becoming a criminal
She is a Bilgewater Goblin, and as such has only been on
Kalimdor for the past few years, ever since Kezan frightened
them off into the sea. Fortunately for her, she didn't escape
alone. Her sweet sister Rixly has stayed by her side since the
day they were born, and the two remained stuck together like
with glue since.
Back on Kezan, could crime truly be defined in the manner it is
in societies like Orgrimmar? She wasn't fortunate to have a
socialite mother who had sold herself away so frequently before
her birth that she herself could live life in a wealthy,
stress-free environment, so taking other's fortune and fame in
Drudgetown seemed like natural instinct to her. It did to
everyone else, after all.
A Goblin's natural greed meant that, even in her decent job
prior, her snatchy fingers tried to grab the easiest and
shiniest of prizes. And that ultimately became her and her
sister's road to unemployment. Surprisingly, thieves are not
welcome in normal ordered society.
- What kind of skills does your character have?
The noteworthy set of skills are related to her mundane
entertainer's job in the Darkmoon Faire, and most are quite
useless outside of it. They include juggling, acrobatics,
knife-throwing. One of the more important talents she has gained
is the ability to speak Orcish and Common alongside her native
language, as she had to be able to speak to both factions. Her
penmanship isn't as good as her speech. A skill that she has had
before, during, and after the Faire, is picking pockets. Usually
while her sister distracts the target.
- How powerful is your character?
Not at all! She is young and inexperienced. Her knife-throwing
abilities and torch-juggling could be involved in combat if she
so wished, but I can't promise she'd think to use such skills to
harm others. And as for social power, she has none. I can't give
an example of who she may win against in a fight. Maybe a baby
prairie dog, or a crab already in the boiling pot.
- How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
Conflict can spark from just anything really, all it takes is
two people to clash in one way or another. As for consequences,
I am expecting to experience a lot of them on this character.
She is young and foolish, and with that comes mistakes, and
thus, hopefully, consequence! She may not be a ball of rage
lashing out every moment, but she will do things that demand a
response from her opposer, and I look forwards to seeing what
those responses shall be.
- What would your character's nickname be?
Something that pairs well with her sister! Such as "Lefty and
Righty" ... but y'know, maybe something better than that!
Perhaps if her desire to have a matching nickname is exposed IC
to other members, they will come up with something fantastic. Or
similarly something that makes us regret leaving it to the
Sixty's public to decide!
- Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
yourself?
She is not Tool 2.0.
And, spoiler-ish, she would not join without her sister, they
are two peas in a pod!
