Nur'gin Leg Eater: Application.
By: Nurgin Date: August 20, 2019, 1:42 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
- How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
Thanks to an elven male known as "Rhelanar" in the inn: The
Wyvern`s Tail.
- What is your character's name and race?
His name is Nur'gin and he is a Zandalari.
- Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
OOC I think it would be an interesting place for Nur'gin. Whilst
IC he is intrigued by this "Family like the group" as he was
told.
- Tell us about your character's background and how they
became/are becoming a criminal
Nur'gin had an average life as a Zandalari while learning the
ways of Gonk, but by speaking to enemies of the Zandalari he was
exiled to the dunes of Vol'Dun. There he was for quite some
time, in that time he, however, became quite the scavenger. But
then came the Horde and became allies with his kin, so he got in
a boats cargo hold and traveled to Orgrimmar, where he was for a
few weeks. Until he meets an elven male that spoke of a place
where an exile like him could be part of. And so now his tale is
in the hands of fate.
- What kind of skills does your character have?
He has in his ways mastered the ways of the Scavenger, he knows
the simple ways of survival, and how to defend himself. Yet
thanks to the training he never truly started on he can take
shape of a Pterrordax (Aka Druid flying), though he is more of a
Vulture than a Pterrordax in said form. And he makes a -killer-
sand soup.
- How powerful is your character?
In looks of the general norm, he would be lucky if he was over
the average Zandalari skillset, but he does have an almost
withering druidic skill which is only his flying form.
- How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
I would say that conflict in RP is great stuff for grounding a
character, and I do love some consequences because of said
reason, But I don't think I am ready for Nur'gin to die so early
on. For now, that is.
- What would your character's nickname be?
- Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
yourself?
Just that because of important business I won't be that active
on late weekdays(Still around earlier), but a lot more active in
the weekends as I have a more flexible time to do things there.
- Story or IC letter (optional)

Hi! Thanks for the interest, the time put into the application,
and your patience! Before we go further...
Us officers were discussing your application, specifically your
answer to our conflict-related question. While we as a guild do
not aim for the characters within the guild to get killed, we
have delved far into conflict roleplay, so much so that a lot of
our characters need to be killable in order to participate in
the conflict at all, despite how likely or unlikely the fate of
death may be. We wanted to say this in your application, just so
you are aware of what your character could be walking into from
an OOC perspective. This does not mean you can't join on an
unkillable character. However, you may be excluded from a large
part of the guild's roleplay. It's especially notable that your
character should not partake in robbery or thieving against
player characters, if they are not open to these kind of
consequences.
Additionally, we are curious about the details of your
character's ability to take on a druidic flight form. Would you
mind explaining how exactly this occurs? Does he do it through
prayer? Ritual? Force of will? The reason we're curious, is that
flight form can generally be quite a powerful tool for a
character to have, so the parameters of said ability is
something we'd like to be aware of.

Ah yes, I can understand that then I shall make him killable, as
you have pointed out, will ruin a lot of RP based shenanigans.
And to how his flight form gets to happen IC is to do a small
ritual to the Loa of shapes(Gonk), said ritual is done by
Nur'gin by taking an animal deceased body and use it as an
offering. Then with the boon given by Gonk, the rest has to be
done with willpower, though it would help allot with a "Balanced
soul", that meaning a calm mind and a strong body, but that's in
Nur'gins case. Other trolls might have other ways of a ritual
like this. If you ask me it all about the loyalty to your Loa,
willpower and the drive of the person to truly make unique
things happen.
