       Gerard Rosenbaum's Application
   DIR By: Ahote
       Date: July 14, 2019, 3:08 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       - How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
I learned about the Sixty Thieves years ago and I have never
       left.
       - What is your character's name and race?
His name is Gerard Rosenbaum, and he is a Forsaken male.
       - Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
OOC motivation: I have had the feeling for the longest time that
I'd lost motivation and direction for my cowman and have been
contemplating a fresh breeze, or in this case, a slightly
       mildewy breeze.
IC motivation: Gerard had a good life for half his life, living
the life of a diplomat's son in Lordaeron and an aspiring
diplomat himself. He was schooled properly, never wanted for
anything and his options were endless. Then the Scourge hit and
it took away everything he had ever known. His parents, his
siblings, and above all, his future. He tried reclaiming his old
glory among his kin but found them less than motivated to
indulge him in his quest to regain lost status and wealth and so
he turned to the world out there, scraping by and looking for a
means to slowly build up his fortunes once more, the rest would
follow later, soon even. As time is a commodity he is not
       lacking.
       - Tell us about your character's background and how they
       became/are becoming a criminal
As mentioned before, Gerard is the child of a "noble", fallen
from grace and into hard times, forced out into a world that
cares little for those that can't reclaim their own legacy and
so he began putting his skills to good use. Forging
documentation to withdraw small sums from the bank, selling
people the idea of an idea and low-key loansharking with the
little money he could gather, he didn't need these paltry sums
anyhow, as he required no sustenance and little luxury to carry
       out his personal quest.
       - What kind of skills does your character have?
Gerard is a diplomat by nature, schooled to improve and maintain
diplomatic relations and sweet talk most humanoids into
complacency. His penmanship is unrivaled if you believe him and
he does possess some skill in a duel, as it was part of his
education. He is also versed in etiquette and various cultural
mannerisms to enhance his interaction with the other races.
       - How powerful is your character?
Physically, not very powerful at all. He is frail, and though
his sword does pack a punch, he's careful not to get himself
killed or injured, as this would interfere with his goals.
       - How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
       consequences?
Conflict in RP comes in a wide variety and I'm comfortable as
long as it doesn't spill over into poorly managed OOC, I am,
too, very willing to accepts any and all consequences, as you
       know.
       - What would your character's nickname be?
       THORN
       - Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
       yourself?
Nothing that couldn't be slowly gathered through rp, it is a new
character and so I will develop it from his original baseline as
       I go.
       - Story or IC letter (optional)
-A neatly folded letter is delivered, signed on the front and
sealed with a sparse dollop of sealing wax.
The front reads: To whom it may concern.
The letter reads: Greetings and salutations,
I have been lucky enough to catch wind of your enterprises and I
would foremost like to congratulate you with your ability to run
and maintain such a fine "establishment".
I would humbly request an audience to discuss potential
employment and to bestow upon you my resume in full so that we
might share the pleasure of a profitable future. You can, if you
are willing, reply to this message by courier, mailbox or
through a delegation sent to the tavern in the Valley of Honor.
       Sincerely,
       Gerard Rosenbaum
PS: If I appear absent from the establishment, leave a note with
       Gravy, I will respond post-haste.
