       Application: "Rat"
By: Goosemisuse Date: March 26, 2019, 10:39 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       - How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
I've been RPing with the Sixty Thieves on my Alt for a year and
a week exactly. My character Saul Klien befriended some of the
thieves throughout that time and even shot one of them. Reznick
(may he rest in peace) was the one that let me know the rules of
Spy RP and I've used them well ever since.
       - What is your character's name and race?
Zandalari Troll Exile / Thief called Acu, nickname "Rat"
       - Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
I've always liked the idea of joining the theives and I spoke to
Chiel about it a few times, although, I didn't have a character
that was suitable until now. My Character is a rather Shady,
thief-type but he's more than willing to apply himself to any
       situation.
       - Tell us about your character's background and how they
       became/are becoming a criminal
Acu's Mother was exiled for stealing an apple whilst pregnant
with him, he was born and raised in Vol'dun and learned basic
survival skills and how to kill and steal to live. When he heard
the news of the Zandalari joining the Horde ranks he traveled
for weeks and managed to find a small docks off the coast of
Zuldazar where a crew of orcs allowed him to travel back to
Durotar with them in exchange for manual labour aboard the ship.
He met a Rat in the cargo bay that he named Ko and has now
become something of a friend to him. The orcs spotted him
talking to the rat one night and began to call him "Ratboy" a
nickname that was eventually shortened to "Rat"
       - What kind of skills does your character have?
He's rather dexterous from growing up and having to run from any
monsters he found in the desert. He'd be an Expert thief since
he often uses Ko, his rat, to steal things for him. He's also
rather convincing, growing up around exiled liars and cheats
really helped him become quite the tricky character. However he
is very weedy and looks like one punch to the gut will put him
       out for a while.
       - How powerful is your character?
He's not all that powerful, as all characters I'd like to
progress him as time goes on but for now he has very limited
equipment or funds. Certainly a brains over brawn character at
       the moment.
       - How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
       consequences?
As someone that's been at the heart of conflict in Roleplay many
times I see it as one of my favourite ways to RP. I'd define it
as "RP that involves two or more groups of people that are at
odds that is often solved by a death or a complete takeover".
I'm also a big fan of consequences in RP, even if it means the
death of my character since it builds a good narritive, which is
what the game's all about for me.
       - What would your character's nickname be?
"Rat", "Ratboy", "Rodent", "Ratbag"... Probably something to do
       with rats.
       - Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
       yourself?
I've been RPing for a number of years and I'd like to think I'm
very experienced. I've also officered in a few large operations
so I know how to stay away from drama and handle any OOC
conflicts that may arise. I'm also fully aware that IC is IC and
OOC is OOC which I know can be a struggle for some people within
their role play. Other than that I feel like I'm a pretty nice
guy and I'm rather pleasant in general.
       - Story or IC letter (optional)
Rat would have been around Orgrimmar and Booty Bay trying to Rob
people and likely would have heard some speak of the thieves
       during his time snooping around.

Hey there, and apologies for the wait!
There are a few questions we'd like to ask based on the
application. Firstly, you said that you know how stay away from
drama and how to handle OOC conflicts, and I'd be curious to
hear a little more about that. Can you give some situation as an
example and tell how you handled it? Secondly, I'd like you to
tell a little more about the rat and how it is utilised in
       theft.
Lastly, the nickname "Rat" has been in use by an old officer of
the guild, and is thus unavailable! Rodent and Ratbag would
       work, however.
Hope to hear back from you soon!

Hey, sorry if the application was a bit too brief.
I was in the guild Gearfist I. B. S as an officer for a number
9f months. During that time there was a lot of issues with the
guild and a number of conflicts with other guilds. It was my job
to make sure that these dramas were organised and dealt with so
they didn't affect the fun of the member's and didn't get out of
control. I'd often do this by reaching out to them OOC and tried
to understand their point of view. I pride myself on being fair
and wanting to understand all sides of an argument.
His Rat Ko is often perched up on his shoulder and will scurry
down onto the floor, then it'll try and run up the leg of
whoever "Rat" thinks is rich and steal something from them,
usually a coin or a gem. I'll emote for the rat usually some
like *Ko would scurry along the ground and jump up onto %t and
attempt to steal something small and of value from them*
And the name Ragbag should fit well.
Hope this clears things up for you
