       Application: Jade

       ---------------------------------------------------------
       I'm bad at this
Hello, Spindle here, applying again on a different character. I
know you have a belf cap, and that I might need to queue a bit
to get into the guild, but I figured I'd write an application
       for that reason too.
How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
I applied to you a month ago but it didn't work out for me.
What is your character's name and race?
       Elaryl, Blood Elf.
Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
I want somewhere to grow as a roleplayer in a guild of
close-knit people, and be braver in my interaction with the
community. Elaryl doesn't know that the Thieves exist yet, but
she could do with some criminals to care for her, provide jobs,
       etc.
What is your character's background like and how did they
       become/are becoming a criminal?
She has gone through a few social layers, from socialite to
pauper, and some things in between. Stealing became necessary
when she had no ways to make a living. Sometimes though, life
finds a way, and Elaryl found that selling "services" (aka being
a prostitute) provided enough for her to start saving up.
What kind of skills does your character have?
She can be bubbly and charming while hiding away a more cynical
side. She is good with make up and self-care advice, she is a
pretty average/amateur thief, and similarly a beginner in the
arts of fel and shadow magic. And she gives mean back rubs.
       How powerful is your character?
Easily beaten up by guards. "Powerful" enough to consider
bringing her to guild events, but weak enough for her assets to
be a key to a solution, and not the be-all-end-all of solutions.
How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
       consequences?
I replied rather lengthily to this in my previous application
  HTML http://sixtythieves.createaforum.com/general-discussion/spindle's-application/.<br
       />Essentially, it's about finding a good balance/ratio of what
makes sense IC and what is considered "fair play" on an OOC
level. Consequences are welcome, as they create living RP. I am
also of the belief that almost everything can be discussed.
What would your character's nickname be?
Jade. For her green eyes and somewhat jaded personality.
Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
       yourself?
I muttered "I should just roll a prostitute" and here I am. The
intent of the character is to be a sort of try on "realistic"
(hopefully respectful) approach on sex work, and for her to grow
into the role of a thief just as much as I am. As a character
she is not played yet, so background, knowledge about the
thieves, and further details, are still in the open in case a
       discussion would be necessary.
Me, I'm still an anxious passionate oddball.

Hello there, and thank you for taking the time to re-apply!
The application looks well-thought-out and the concept is solid.
Coincidentally, a spot for a blood elf has very recently opened
up, as well, so we won't have to turn this down due to a race
       cap!
However, the thieves have recently had someone named Jade among
them, and thus choosing that name would likely be quite awkward
and confusing IC, and our characters would ask her to choose
herself a different name. Something you might want to consider
before the interview! Also, I wanted to say something about her
profession. While it's completely fine to roleplay a prostitute
in this guild, we ask that you familiarise yourself with our
guild rules (if you haven't already, you can find them here:
  HTML http://sixtythieves.createaforum.com/guild-rules/out-of-character-rules/),<br
/>especially what comes to the topic of ERP.
Lastly, there are a few other people waiting to be initiated to
the guild before you. We keep a limit on how many trial members
we take at a time, to ensure that we are able to give each of
our members the amount of attention needed. Once there's an
update on the situation, I'll post another comment here, and/or
       hit you up in-game!
       Approved!

Thank you for your reply! I am aware of your view on ERP and
Blizzard’s TOS regarding it as well - I am thankful that it is
brought up as a concern, due to the nature of the character!
As for the nickname, Opal, Beryl, or any other short gem/mineral
name works just fine! (Jadeite too but it might be too close?) I
went with what I could find not-taken in the hall of names,
       hence the confusion.
Looking forward to hearing from you again!
