Shing-Xu the Shamanistic Trickster
By: Shing-Xu Date: March 13, 2019, 6:29 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
- How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
We have RP'd a lot together (Brethren of the coast) and I think
I have a character now that fits the guild well.
- What is your character's name and race?
Pandaren - Shing-Xu Pebblethrower
- Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
She always had a knack for doing things that are outside of
current regulations. Once she attained basic control over the
Pandarian elementals, she has been using them to play pranks and
steal items for her. The Thieves seem like they can nourish this
talent.
- Tell us about your character's background and how they
became/are becoming a criminal
Shing-Xu was on the road to becoming a well-respected Shaman on
Pandaria as she joined as an apprentice. However, as soon as she
attained the skill to control some degree of Pandarian elements,
she gained the knack of using them to play pranks and retrieve
or "borrow" items for her. This got her expelled from the
monastery and ever since she has been honing her devious little
talent.
- What kind of skills does your character have?
Very basic control over Pandaren elementals, she cannot sling
huge boulders or create walls. But she can commune with the
elementals a bit to her nefarious agenda of course.
- How powerful is your character?
She wouldn't do well in a fight. Her staff can hold up with some
trainee style stick fighting but that's about it.
- How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
Conflict is bound to happen in RP and if it's coordinated well
with enough OOC communication, it can be a very exciting
experience. My character is viable to injury and death and I'm
aware of the consequences of doing something bad.
- What would your character's nickname be?
Pebble - because of her affinity with the element of Earth.

Hey there, and thanks for applying!
I can't say we've had many shamans in the guild, but Shing-Xu's
concept seems original and fitting for the Sixty Thieves. No
immediate questions about the character come to mind, so we can
proceed with the initiation in-character!
However, we're still a little cramped with applicants, and there
are three others waiting to be recruited before you. It might
take some weeks before we're able to free a spot for you, but
when we do, we'll post another reply on this application. You
can also contact any of the officers in-game if you have
questions.
Approved!
