Bluntknuckle

---------------------------------------------------------
- Tell us the IC and OOC name of the character you seek to join
on, as well as their race.
Sun Bluntknuckle, Pandaren
Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
My character travelled pandaria for years, aiding those in need.
The more he wandered, the more he was exposed to the way the
downtrodden were. He expected noble souls who were held down by
circumstance, but instead he found an endless crowd of
opportunists; mostly addicts who'd waste any charity given to
escape into a opium haze. After being held down for the rest of
his coin, my character grew disillusioned to his old ideals.
Now, enlightened to how the world truly works, my character
seeks to live by the new code he discovered. Instead of
wandering the lands to offer charity, he would rather exist as
an incarnate to the ideals of greed and self-sufficience, and to
do so he is desperate to cling to a group that idealizes the
grim reality he's discovered.
What is your character's background like and how did they
become/are becoming a criminal?
- Tell us a bit about what kind of background your character
comes from, and how they became/are about to become involved in
crime? What are their motives? Wealth, influence, company,
perhaps something else?
Like many pandaren Bluntknuckle had been sent to a monastary at
a young age. He had been preached to the values of charity,
helping others and always being humble.
Over years this has forged his image of the world and his
ideals. Soon it had been Bluntknuckles time to go onto his
pilgrimage from one monastery to the other, as it was custom. An
empty vessel to be filled by the wisdom of the wise loremasters
of pandarias the ideals had been ingrained into his self.
Though on his travels he got a taste on how the world really
worked. His kindness was only answered by greed, exploited by
those he had offered it to. Bluntknuckle, still true to his
ideals desperatly continued to give, yet everything changed as
he set out on his second pilgrimage towards Kalimdor. On the
road to Sri La Village an incident occured. The criminal scum
from the nearby village, turned degenerate by the thirst for
coin and opium had seen the lone wandering monk as an easy
target. The horde of bandits washed over him like a tide of
degeneracy, leaving young Bluntknuckle by the road, beated,
bruised and what little belongings he had, gone.
What kind of skills does your character have?
- Tell us about your character's skillset; what kind of criminal
activities do they excel in, if any? Do they have any other
noteworthy skills?
Average hand-to-hand combat.
Able to read and write.
Theoretical knowledge about many things.
How powerful is your character?
- Give us some insight on how powerful your character is. How do
they fare in combat or otherwise tricky situations? How does
their 'powerlevel' tie in to their need or desire for committing
crime?
-You ever seen One Punch Man?
..A joke. Bluntknuckle had an average education in hand-to-hand
combat, knowing a nifty trick here and there to get the jump on
an unexpecting opponent. Otherwise the simple strenght of a
simple pandaren.
How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
- Conflict is a way of engaging other character's ICly in
circumstances where both can't 'win'. It's a lot of headache,
but when everything goes nicely it forms stories that aren't
scripted or predictable. I like consequences.
What would your character's nickname be?
- What kind of one-word nickname would you think fitting for
your character, to be used to protect their identity if they
join the Sixty Thieves?
Guilt perhaps.
Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
yourself?
- Add anything else you might want to share with us, such as
important notes regarding your activity, roleplay-style, or
other.
Busy RL. Otherwise pretty flexible.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write out this application
(and for your initial interest!)
I have no questions that can't wait for the roleplay scene. All
I will ask is to be patient while we make our way through
current applicants so they, and eventually you, get to have an
initial experience with the guild that isn't busy with so many
recruits that your presence feels pushed to a background role. I
will update this post when you are able to be interviewed, but
similarly feel free to poke officers in game for updates should
you require them!

Greetings, Knuckle.

Oof, that is a tight window, I usually get home rather late.
I'll do my best.
