Hisome

- How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
Well, to be honest I've know the guild tag since back on Defias
Brotherhood. A good friend of mine, Shrika, has been in the
guild before, and it's intially from where I started to get an
interest. Though, many years later, I met Kue one fatefull night
of RP in Orgrimmar, and it sparked my interest again.
- What is your character's name and race?
Hisome is a Pandaren.
- Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
I've always enjoyed Criminal Roleplay. In one way or another.
Character-wise, Hisome has recently become disinterested in her
life's current path, and decided to take a new one. The previous
path was a hitman, basically. Assassin for hire.
- Tell us about your character's background and how they
became/are becoming a criminal
To keep it short, I've not made up the biggest story for her. I
prefer to make it, as I go. But what I've noted down in my brain
is that she is an ex-shado-pan, whom made a fatal mistake on one
mission, causing her best friend, and technically only family,
to die. She never got over her death, and is still battling with
the guilt at times, though she hides this very well. She was
denounced as a Shado-pan, and decided to make up her own little
business for Assassinations.
- What kind of skills does your character have?
She is generally sneaky, and cautious. She rarely gives away
what she does, unless she believes it has something to offer
her. She can easily disappear in a crowd, as she is good at just
'fitting in'. She generally does not make much of a mess, and
prefer to keep things quiet.
She wields daggers mostly, and smaller throwing objects such as
knives, or throwing stars.
She generally knows her way around herbs, which aids her in
making her own poison.
Due to her past as a Shado-pan, she knows a little bit of
shadow-useage, and has since also been more interested in
learning further about it, and thus has an easier time staying
out of view. I read your rules about stealth, so don't worry, I
won't use it Ic'ly! Furthermore she's adept in hand-to-hand
combat.
Other than that she knows her ways around treating wounds
properly, and general first aid, and body part stuff.
- How powerful is your character?
I'd place her at a 'medium' power bar. But at the same time, I
do not RP her to be powerful. She knows a lot of stuff, and has
many different skills, but which she uses is entirely depending
on the situation at hand, and honestly I do not find it fun to
RP super OP chars. You can definitely expect her to get wounded
in a battle, if it makes sense that she would be.
- How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
Depended entirely on what you mean - I believe the is a
consequence to every action in RP, some more severe than others.
I do not mind death as a consequence, as long as it makes sense
IC'ly, and has been spoken about before it occurs.
- What would your character's nickname be?
Honestly, I'm not quite sure! Perhaps something to be decided
IC'ly.
- Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
yourself?
Honestly, nothing I can think of! I'm friendly OOC'ly, and I
don't bite. I do suffer from anxiety attacks from time to time,
though. Feel free to ask me anything and I'll try answer.
(Also super tired whilst writing this, so sorry if it seems a
little bit lack-cluster.)
- Story or IC letter (optional)

Hey there, and cool that we've caught your interest!
It is nice to see that you've taken our guild rules and general
code of conduct into account when writing your application, and
I've heard good things about your RP, as well. However, I'd like
to ask you to expand a little more on the reasons and
motivations that led Hisome to leave behind her life as a
killer. Why did she have this change of heart?
Hope to hear from you again soon!

Hi there! It's great to see this after already RPing with you in
game!
It's also amazing to know/see someone who knew us from the DB
days. That was a very long time ago, and it's rare when we meet
players who know us from then, but always a pleasant surprise
when it happens.
I only really have two questions to ask, being:
1) As she owns a company, how much coin would she have
currently? If it's a start up, that could mean not much coin,
but if it's an old one, they might have a lot, and may not be
suited to thieving or even need to thief.
2) How much of shadow magic is she adept with? Could you give
any examples of the limitations of her magical know-how? The
best she can do, so to speak.

It's honestly a great question as to why she suddenly had a
change of heart. But from how I see it, she's started to heal
mentally. After the loss of her friend, which she blames herself
for, she went into a dark place of her mind. It's been years now
since, and she's finally starting to view things differently,
which may also come from growing older. And after years of
killing, she's finally had enough.
Now, you also question how much money she would have, but the
truth is, she wouldn't have a lot. Wanting to atone from, what
she viewed as her mistakes, she's donated most to Children
homes, and generally places in Pandaria. Now of course she would
of kept some to herself, but she's a rather minimalistic person,
and does not require a lot of items, so I don't believe she'd
own more than perhaps 5 gold coins in a bank somewhere, for when
times of need may occur. Her reasoning for joining something
like your guild is more than just to acquire money, though. In
reality all she wants is a place to call 'home' once more, and
since she's technically an Outlaw, she does not feel like she'd
fit in anywhere else, or with people that's on the right side of
the law.
As to go in depth of the shadow use-age, it's minor stuff like
shadow mending, which was really all she wanted to learn, in
case she'd get wounded badly and had to stop bleeding.
Hope this answers most!

Thank you for your timely response! That answers any questions I
may have had before and expanded in a decent way. I especially
like the part of her donating to Children's Homes. It's
especially good when others don't just make a criminal bad for
the sake of being bad, but give reasons to the things they do
and why they do them. It shows that criminals can have hearts as
well, and aren't just these stone cold character faces of pure
evil with no substance.
Five gold is a good/appropriate amount to start off with as
well, and the motivations for joining fit in very nicely.
By shadow mending, I presume it would be nothing super
OP/extreme, so I would personally say...
Recommended.
