       Application; Vyrathas Bloodwing
By: Vyrathas Date: January 4, 2019, 10:05 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
I have been around for some time and I've seen plenty of your
members about many times. Though having been guildless on many
of my characters going solo in regards to criminal-like
roleplay, I've naturally considered applying to this guild many
times, but never gotten around to it.
What is your character's name and race?
This blood elf's name is Vyrathas Bloodwing. OOCly, it is
       Vyrathas.
Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
Vyrathas' primary motivation has always been wealth, surpassed
only by his desire for renown or infamy. He has always been
working alone, although recently came to understand the
advantage of numbers not only in regards to wealth, but his
desire for renown in addition. I myself have never really been
enjoying guilds, but rather small out-of-guild communities.
Despite this, I've found a few guilds that caught my interest,
this one being one of them, the two big reasons being
criminal-roleplay and your views on consequences for onces IC
       actions.
What is your character's background like and how did they
       become/are becoming a criminal?
He was born to a poor mother working and living near the dock of
Sunsail Anchorage when it was still operational. Being a curious
and troublesome child, his mother eventually sold him to a
passing-by pirate vessel for a decent sum for her own survival,
perhaps hoping her son would fare well under the pirates'
banners. Although treated like dirt beneath their boots, he
learned many things under the somewhat brutal lifestyle of the
pirates he found himself with. Skill of observation, trickery
and guile made for a solid foundation of a young man who
eventually made for a dramatic escape from said vessel in order
to venture out on his own, as a free man, doing what he needed
and could to survive and grow, having found that the underground
market could indeed prove beneficial, even horribly profitable.
What kind of skills does your character have?
Trickery is certainly a skill of his, not often approaching
situtations he knows he's not gonna get out ontop of. A friendly
demenour and self-distance is his ally; He is a false man at
heart, often playing peoples personalities where he can and rip
them of whatever he was out to catch.
       How powerful is your character?
In terms of violence, he is capable but far from excellent,
prefering to use dirty tricks to turn the odds more in his
favour. He would much rather operate subtly and under the radar
than a direct, violent confrontation unless he is forced to
       engage violently in self-defense.
How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
       consequences?
To me, consequences in roleplay are everything, or rather, it is
what makes roleplay fun. To steer the direction you please, but
to an unknown outcome. It makes you think more about your
decisions, and that little sense of curiousity; what will happen
if I do this? If you insult, disrespect or attack a kingpin of
an organisations of thieves, expect him to return with vengeance
tenfold, perhaps by sending a few lackeys down your way in
       retaliation, for example.
What would your character's nickname be?
I am not too sure.. Something that aligns well with greed, or
perhaps jester. Snake? I will have to think further on this.
Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
       yourself?
I am a strong believer of what happens IC should stay IC, and
OOC should stay OOC, but of course situational exceptions could
always be made. I work irregular hours, which might interfere
       with events at times.

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to write this
       application!
I haven't any real, burning questions that I should ask on an
OOC level. I am excited to meet your character in roleplay!
       Approved
Contact an officer (Thalindor, Laerynna, Erthamar, Morduas)
       in-game to organise a meeting!

       Hello there!
Echoing Laerynna above, the application is informative and seems
well-thought-out, so the initiation process can be continued
in-game. Us officers of the guild are just about to return from
       our 2-week winter break.
       See you soon!

Thank you. I'll catch one of you in game as soon as I can. :-)
       Happy thieving.
