Application: Zul'ajin

- OOC and IC name and race
IC: Name is Zul'Ajin and race is a troll
OOC: Name is Zulajinn and race is troll
- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOC, why do you want to join?)
IC: He has been stealing and being a mercenary by himself and
wants to affiliate himself with a group of people
OOC: Character had been idle for a while and say this guild on a
certain discord server
- What would their nickname be?
Either Zul or if a nickname not at all affiliated with the name
it would be saber
- How powerful is your character?
He is around middle ages and a druid. He can use two forms, his
saber form which is a saber and his bat form for flying. Other
than that can heal some basic wounds (No bones) and make mid
sized roots. He usually uses daggers for close combat but isn't
that good with them as he usually uses saber form. Has some
training with boxing style hand to hand combat but is of course
no expert
- What's her/his background like?
Was running with a gang of mercenaries for as long as he can
remember. His parents were part of it and they were the ones who
trained him. Recently (5years ago) split off with the
mercenaries and has been going solo. Now wants to affiliate
himself with more people again
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
I try to be as consistent with lore as I can. If people point
things out I do my best to confirm (Or deny) what they claim by
doing my own research and if they're right I will do my best to
fix any mistakes I've made
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Zul never kills anyone he doesn't need to. Only in situations
where it's either him or the other person will he take someones
life
- How do you feel about consequences in RP?
I have no problem with my character being injured (to most
extents, wouldn't want my chars arm cut off without any warning
atleast OOC). I would like to be able to decide when my chars
die but if it's a situation where it's unavoidable I won't
protest much.
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioral or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Zul has some knowledge of herbs and their healing and damaging
capabilities. He is basically a jack of all trades and an expert
in none.
- What's your activity like?
I like to be on most evenings (Say 3 server to about 9-10
server) but I usually tend to find no activity in any rp guilds
at that time. If I find activity in this guild I will be on most
evenings to do social rp as I do love it. Cant stay too late at
nights except for weekends due to my timezones and having to
wake up at 6am to be able to get to classes.

Hello and thanks for writing this app!
I'm rather glad to hear that people recommend us to others, so
that is happy news for us. However I have rather few things here
to point out.
First of all, this application is by far, very short. You've
really given us the bare minimum of what you can give us. We
want to hear more of this character of yours. Give us some
details, add some flesh to this character of yours.
An example of this is: As a druid, how does he transform to
these animals? Does he do it instantly? Does he need to pray to
his Loa or even another reason? How did he become one might be a
good start.
Perhaps on the OOC part you can tell us of your experience in
WoW RP or perhaps even outside of it. How long have you done
this? You been in other guilds?
Though I also have another thing I have to point at, and that is
his name. Zul'Ajin. I think it is no secrecy that it is almost
just Zul'Jin, a rather famous lore character, but with an A
added to it. Though there might be an IC reason because he has
such a name. Though out of RP curtetsy, it is hard to accept
such a name, as it is sort of impolite and also seen as silly to
copy/paste actual lore character.
For now I have to decline this app. Though I might have a change
of heart if you are able to fix what I've pointed at, but also
perhaps do some more.

Hey there, thanks for replying. I have taken some of the things
you have asked me to fix and included some more details and all
here. If anything else is needed please tell me
How long ive been rping
My experience with rp is quite large. Ive been doing it for 4
years now, one of which was private with a couple of people and
three of which were within different guilds but mostly alliance.
This would be my first time properly using this character to
join a guild.
Onto his backstory
First of all Zul is able to shapeshift instantly, there being
not a real need for him to pray to a loa or anything like that.
He was taught druidism by in the start, his parents, but they
only taught him the bare minimum, like how to shapeshift into
his saber form and one healing spell.
After he joined his gang of mercenaries he was taught by a
member within them that was way older than him and was a very
good druid. Said person helped him develop his saber form and
helped him learn how to shift into his bat form. They even
taught him the basics of how to use the nature to his advantage
and be able to use medium sized roots fir his own defence. After
running with the mercenaries for a lot of years he split off
with them due to a large arguement on how pay should be split
up.
He has been running solo for the past 5 years, doing whatever
is needed for him to survive, including small time mercenary
gigs and even stealing from people when needed, but he now wants
to affiliate himself with a group.
Persnoality
Zul is a somewhat serious person when it comes to what he does.
He does make some cheeky jokes here but he usually stays on task
to complete it before doing anything else. He doesnt often talk
about his past, maybe only briefly. He is strategic and tries to
think before doing anything especially in dangerous situations.
He can come off as an ass in stresfull situations but outside of
them he is a good laugh.
Appearance
Zoll is on the tall side for a troll. He always wears his
leather armor and carries around his two blades even though he
rarely uses them. His face is really no different than any other
trolls, with a couple of exceptions being that the tip of his
right esr has been cut off (rather uncleanly aswell) and he has
a scar running down the right side of his face, it having
seemingly barely missed his eye.
Now regarding the name. I will have the IC name changed to
something else, although I did not at alla have Zul'jin in mind
when i created this trp, i will change it to Zolalin

Hello, thanks for writing the application originally and then
adding the further explanation, we appreciate it very much.
It is good to have further insight to your character. However,
the general concept of your character being a shapeshifter is
one that I am finding hard to be able to relate to Sixty
Thieves. Being a druid is totally legit for the setting the game
is in, and there are a range of character concepts, including
druids and paladins and whatnot that we interact with daily!
Having someone with those capabilities gives us a push in power
- one that we aren't really wanting to have, because Sixty
Thieves are not meant to be the top dogs of the crime scene.
They're no Uncrowned or Ravenholdt, and keeping the balance of
power is very important to achieve that standing. I will need to
decline this application with the best intentions in mind and
gratitude that despite the declining, you did make this
application. We appreciate that.
And following on from that, as I have read about your character
and their motives, I couldn't help but think how fitting another
guild, "Gilded Blades" might be for you. They are usually in
Booty Bay and do the sort of mercenary work that your character
has done, while being a tight knit group at the same time!
I hope you find this understanding and best of luck for finding
a fitting guild for Zol to join!
