       Nasrih Obscurastre
By: Nasrih Date: October 10, 2018, 11:09 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
When the Horde freed us, they thought that we were all victims
of our 'queen' and our 'hunger'. They were not that wrong. We
survived by smuggling arcwine, stolen from our tyrants. It's
always a question of who you are trying to scam. We could
discuss that for hours, but heroes do heroic things, us, we just
       try to survive… After all.
But pardon me, I'm terribly rude. I'm Sombre. And let's say I'm
a minor arcanist from Suramar. The title does sound right, hm?
Maybe a little bit fictional. Well, I certainly do magic stuff.
I borrowed some books, snuck into the right place at the right
time. Just trying to be more than my father, a palanquin
carrier. He's dead now, like a lot of people from Suramar. I
tried to be a good girl and go work a bit for the Horde with the
others, the elite. I had to convince some people to let me go
annnnd... Here we are. Me, you and the purse I'm gonna take from
you. C'mon. Nightborne need to eat too, you know.
       - OOC and IC name and race
Hey, hey. Nasrih is a nice young lady from Suramar with a
       propensity to steal things.
Me, I'm a French, newly French-Canadian player. I picked the
Nightborne race so I can say my mistakes in Orc are due to my
       race. Yupyup.
       - Why does she want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
       Thieves?
Nasrih is a social being after all. She's looking for some
friends who don't mind her misbehaviours. She's not used to
honesty and legal stuff. Moreover, returning back to Suramar
       would be like a defeat.
I'm here because I love thief style rp and the idea of
consequences. I'm a Gentleman Bastards person if you catch the
reference. I was in an unlawful guild on Les Clairvoyants
(FR-RP) but stopped playing for several years. I'm here to try
       something new.
       - What would their nickname be?
       Sombre.
       - How powerful is your character?
She's playing with arcana, particularly invisibility and
teleportation. This magic is more utilitarian than intended for
combat. She'll be more inclined to run away if there is a real
       danger.
       - What's her/his background like?
She loves jewelry, luxurious fabrics and new spells, everything
she can't have. So she had to find the financial resources to
live like the person she wanted to be by herself. She's very
young for her kind, like 35 years old, and took a lot of risks
to learn what she now knows about magic.
She left Suramar with a lot of hope for this outside world,
perhaps the chance to find a new life. Reality hits hard.
       - How consistent is your character with following the lore?
My old characters were Undead and Tauren. I'm very good with
Undead and Tauren lore. I still have some stuff to learn about
Nightborne, but I'm trying to stick as much as possible to the
information I have seen in the game.
       - "Are you a killer, lass?"
I'm not. I have dirty hands, sure, but not from murder.
       - How do you feel about consequences in RP?
You cannot assume everything will go as you wish, especially
when you're on the bad side. Everyone love bad guys, but bad
guys never win. It's more about survival at this point.
       - Any specialities she has?
The first thing she learned with magic was to conjure some
biscuits. Ever since, she's been very motivated by mana-cooking.
She's not that good, sometimes the preparation just explodes in
a cloud of flour, but you have to taste her brownies, dear.
       - What's your activity like?
You'll see me two/three evenings a week approximately. 6/7 at
       night.
       Thanks for reading !

Hello! Thank you for writing the application and nice
introduction. Cool to see someone from the other side of the
       world!
Would you mind explaining how you see using her magical/stealth
abilities in a low-life thief gang? For example, to what extent
can she teleport? A small distance much similiar to blink or to
a different location to the other end of Azeroth? What are the
       limitations of her spells/stealth abilities?
Reason I'm asking is because though we do have magic users in
the gang, we try to keep it low key to maintain the lowlife
atmosphere and to keep it fairly when used against other
       players.

       Hi !
       Thanks for the answer !
So, about magic ! I thought a bit about and there is my
explanations. Nasrih first learned to mana-cook, she was
destined to serve the nobility. Then come the spells of
invisibility she stole. As she learned them alone, she's really
not good with them. She can make one of her hands disappear for
a few moments or disappear completely for a few seconds (and
run). She's doesn't know how to blink.
Her knowledge in teleportation was the result of the
insurrection, helping with leylines. She needs circles,
preparation, equipment to make full use of what she knows. The
further away the destination is, the more preparation is needed.
I also consider that it can be blocked if she doesn't do the
correct calculations or if she doesn't find a node nearby.
If the limit is still too high, feel free to tell me.

Thanks a lot for your response, Nasrih!
Having a seemingly low power level with a high demand of
preparation for some spells and simply being bad at others
sounds like the sort of magical-level other magic users in our
guild have. And given how young Nasrih is, it makes complete
sense that the thing she may be most accurate in is conjuring
       mana food!
With magic-users in the guild, we are obviously aware of the
setting in which World of Warcraft is, including the magic and
dragons and different dimensions, but we like to make sure that
the power of member(s) do not reach a point where they surpass
or even meet the everyday hero. Thieving is a struggle for
members of this guild, and we don't want it that a magic-user
makes it easy by e.g. turning invisible and stealing the
contents of a bank! But from this application and your response,
I don't see this as something we should be concerned of with
       you.
I have other questions, but they are best fit for my character
       to ask your character. So!
